| (1) በበለስና በዘይት ወይራ እምላለሁ፡፡ |
(1) By the fig and the olive [of Jerusalem], |
| (2) በሲኒን ተራራም፤ |
(2) and by Mount Sinai [of Egypt], |
| (3) በዚህ በጸጥተኛው አገርም (እምላለሁ)፡፡ |
(3) and by this secure city [of Makkah], |
| (4) ሰውን በጣም በአማረ አቋም ላይ ፈጠርነው፡፡ |
(4) Surely We have created man in the best form, |
| (5) ከዚያም (ከፊሉን) ከዝቅተኞች ሁሉ በታች አድርገን መለስነው፡፡ |
(5) then We will reduce him to the lowest of the low, |
| (6) ግን እነዚያ ያመኑት መልካሞችንም የሠሩት ለእነርሱ ተቆራጭ ያልኾነ ምንዳ አልላቸው፡፡ |
(6) except those who believe and do righteous deeds; they will have a never-ending reward. |
| (7) ታዲያ ከዚህ በኋላ በፍርዱ ምን አስተባባይ አደረገህ? |
(7) Then, what makes you deny the Judgment Day? |
| (8) አላህ ከፈራጆች ሁሉ ይበልጥ ፈራጅ አይደለምን? (ነው)፡፡ |
(8) Is not Allah the Most Just of all judges? |
