| (1) ለሰዎች እነርሱ በዝንጋቴ ውስጥ (መሰናዳትን) የተው ኾነው ሳሉ ምርመራቸው ቀረበ፡፡ | (1) The reckoning of the people has drawn near, yet they are turning away heedlessly. |
| (2) ከጌታቸው አዲስ የተወረደ ቁርኣን አይመጣላቸውም፡፡ እነሱ የሚያላግጡ ሆነው የሚያደምጡት ቢሆኑ እንጂ፡፡ | (2) Whenever new revelation comes to them from their Lord, they listen to it in jest, |
| (3) ልቦቻቸው ዝንጉዎች ኾነው (የሚያዳምጡት ቢኾኑ እንጅ)፡፡ እነዚያም የበደሉት ሰዎች መንሾካሾክን ደበቁ፡፡ «ይህ ብጤያችሁ ሰው እንጅ ሌላ ነውን እናንተም የምታዩ ስትኾኑ ድግምትን ለመቀበል ትመጣላችሁን» (አሉ)፡፡ | (3) with their hearts heedless. The wrongdoers whisper to one another in secret, “Is this but a human being just like yourselves? Will you then follow his magic, although you openly see?” |
| (4) (ሙሐመድም) «ጌታዬ ቃልን ሁሉ በሰማይና በምድር ውስጥ ያለ ሲኾን ያውቃል እርሱም ሰሚው ዐዋቂው ነው» አለ፡፡ | (4) He said, “My Lord knows every word spoken in the heavens and earth, for He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.” |
| (5) «በእውነቱ (ቁርኣኑ) የሕልሞች ቅዠቶች ነው፡፡ ይልቁንም ቀጠፈው እንዲያውም እርሱ ቅኔን ገጣሚ ነው፡፡ የቀድሞዎቹም እንደተላኩ (መልክተኛ ከኾነ) በተዓምር ይምጣብን» አሉ፡፡ | (5) Yet they say, “This [Qur’an] is a set of jumbled dreams! Rather, he has fabricated it! Rather, he is a poet! So let him bring us a sign just as the earlier messengers were sent with.” |
| (6) ከእነሱ በፊት ያጠፋናት ከተማ አላመነችም፡፡ ታዲያ እነሱ ያምናሉን | (6) Not a single town We destroyed before them believed [after receiving signs]; will they then believe? |
| (7) ከአንተም በፊት ወደእነሱ የምናወርድላቸው የኾነን ሰዎችን እንጂ ሌላን አላክንም፡፡ የማታውቁም ብትኾኑ የመጽሐፉን ባለቤቶች ጠይቁ፡፡ | (7) We did not send before you [O Prophet] except men to whom We gave revelation, so [O people] ask the People of the Scriptures if you do not know. |
| (8) ምግብን የማይበሉ አካልም አላደረግናቸውም፡፡ ዘውታሪዎችም አልነበሩም፡፡ | (8) We did not give them bodies that needed no food, nor were they immortal. |
| (9) ከዚያም ቀጠሮን ሞላንላቸው፡፡ አዳንናቸውም፡፡ የምንሻውንም ሰው (አዳን)፡፡ ወሰን አላፊዎቹንም አጠፋን፡፡ | (9) Then We fulfilled Our promise to them: We saved them and those whom We willed, and destroyed those who transgressed all bounds. |
| (10) ክብራችሁ በውስጡ ያለበትን መጽሐፍ ወደእናንተ በእርግጥ አወረድን፡፡ አታውቁምን | (10) We have sent down to you [O people] a Book in which there is honor for you. Do you not then understand? |
| (11) በዳይም ከነበረች ከተማ ያጠፋናትና ከኋላዋም ሌሎችን ሕዝቦች ያስገኘነው ብዙ ናት፡፡ | (11) [Imagine] how many towns of evildoers We have destroyed, and raised up after them another people! |
| (12) ቅጣታችንም በተሰማቸው ጊዜ እነርሱ ወዲያውኑ ከእርሷ (ለመሸሽ) ይገሠግሣሉ፡፡ | (12) When they sensed Our punishment, they started running away from it. |
| (13) አትገሥግሡ፤ ትለመኑም ይኾናልና፡፡ በእርሱ ወደ ተቀማጠላችሁበት ጸጋ ወደ መኖሪያዎቻችሁም ተመለሱ (ይባላሉ)፡፡ | (13) “Do not run away, but return to your luxuries and dwellings, perhaps you will be questioned.” |
| (14) «ዋ ጥፋታችን! እኛ በእርግጥ በዳዮች ነበርን» ይላሉ፡፡ | (14) They said, “Woe to us! We were indeed wrongdoers.” |
| (15) የታጨዱ ሬሳዎችም እስካደረግናቸው ድረስ ይህቺ ጠሪያቸው ከመኾን አልተወገደችም፡፡ | (15) They kept crying this out loud until We mowed them down, lifeless. |
| (16) ሰማይንና ምድርን በመካከላቸው ያለውንም ሁሉ ቀላጆች ኾነን አልፈጠርንም፡፡ | (16) We did not create the heavens and earth and all that is between them for fun. |
| (17) መጫወቻን (ሚስትና ልጅን) ልንይዝ በሻን ኖሮ ከእኛ ዘንድ በያዝነው ነበር፡፡ (ግን) ሠሪዎች አይደለንም፡፡ | (17) If We had wished for a pastime, We could have had it from Our own, if We were to do so. |
| (18) በእርግጥ እውነትን በውሸት ላይ እንጥላለን፡፡ አንጎሉን ያፈርሰዋልም፡፡ ወዲያውም እርሱ ጠፊ ነው፡፡ ለእናንተም ከዚያ (ሚስትና ልጅ አለው በማለት) ከምትመጥኑት ነገር ብርቱ ቅጣት አላችሁ፤ (ወዮላችሁ)፡፡ | (18) Rather, We hurl the truth at falsehood, and it crushes it, so it vanishes. Woe to you for what you falsely ascribe [to Allah]! |
| (19) በሰማያትና በምድር ያለው ሁሉም የእርሱ ነው፡፡ እርሱ ዘንድ ያሉትም (መላእክት) እርሱን ከመገዛት አይኮሩም፡፡ አይሰለቹምም፡፡ | (19) To Him belongs all those who are in the heavens and earth. Those [angels] who are with Him are not too proud to worship Him, nor do they ever grow weary. |
| (20) በሌሊትና በቀንም ያጠሩታል፤ አያርፉም፡፡ | (20) They glorify Him day and night tirelessly. |
| (21) ይልቁንም ከምድር የኾኑን እነርሱ ሙታንን የሚያስነሱን አማልክት ያዙን (የለም)፡፡ | (21) Or have they taken gods from the earth who [cannot even] resurrect the dead? |
| (22) በሁለቱ (በሰማያትና በምድር) ውስጥ ከአላህ ሌላ አማልክት በነበሩ ኖሮ በተበላሹ ነበር፡፡ የዐርሹ ጌታ አላህም ከሚሉት ሁሉ ጠራ፡፡ | (22) If there had been gods besides Allah in the heavens and earth, both realms would have fallen in disorder. Glory be to Allah – Lord of the Throne – far above what they ascribe [to Him]. |
| (23) ከሚሠራው ሁሉ አይጠየቅም፡፡ እነርሱ (ፍጥረቶቹ) ግን ይጠየቃሉ፡፡ | (23) He cannot be questioned for what He does, but they will be questioned. |
| (24) ይልቁንም ከእርሱ ሌላ አማልክትን ያዙን «አስረጃችሁን አምጡ፡፡ ይህ (ቁርኣን) እኔ ዘንድ ያለው ሕዝብ መገሰጫ ከእኔ በፊትም የነበሩት ሕዝቦች መገሰጫ ነው» በላቸው፡፡ በውነቱ አብዛኞቻቸው እውነቱን አያውቁም፡፡ ስለዚህ እነሱ እምቢተኞች ናቸው፡፡ | (24) Or have they taken other gods besides Him? Say, “Bring your proof. Here is the Book of those who are with me, and the Book of those who came before me.” Yet most of them do not know the truth, so they turn away. |
| (25) ከአንተ በፊትም እነሆ ከእኔ ሌላ አምላክ የለምና ተገዙኝ በማለት ወደርሱ የምናወርድለት ቢኾን እንጅ ከመልክተኛ አንድንም አልላክንም፡፡ | (25) “We never sent before you [O Prophet] any messenger without revealing to him that none has the right to be worshiped except Me, so worship Me.” |
| (26) «አልረሕማንም (ከመላእክት) ልጅን ያዘ» አሉ፡፡ ጥራት ተገባው፡፡ አይደለም (መላእክት) የተከበሩ ባሮች ናቸው፡፡ | (26) They say, “The Most Compassionate has begotten offspring!” Glory be to Him! In fact, those [angels] are His honored slaves. |
| (27) በንግግር አይቀድሙትም፤ (ያላለውን አይሉም)፡፡ እነርሱም በትእዛዙ ይሠራሉ፡፡ | (27) They do not speak before He speaks, and they only do as He commands. |
| (28) በፊታቸው ያለውንና በኋላቸው ያለውንም ሁሉ ያውቃል፡፡ ለወደደውም ሰው እንጅ ለሌላው አያማልዱም፡፡ እነርሱም እርሱን ከመፍራታቸው የተነሳ ተጨናቂዎች ናቸው፡፡ | (28) He knows what is ahead of them and what is behind them. They cannot intercede except for whom He pleases, and they are fearful in awe of Him. |
| (29) ከእነሱም «እኔ ከእርሱ ሌላ አምላክ ነኝ» የሚል ያንን ገሀነምን እንመነዳዋለን፡፡ እንደዚሁ በዳዮችን እንመነዳለን፡፡ | (29) If anyone of them were to say, “I am god besides Him,” We would punish him with Hell. This is how We punish the wrongdoers. |
| (30) እነዚያም የካዱት ሰማያትና ምድር የተጣበቁ የነበሩና የለያየናቸው መኾናችንን አያውቁምን ሕያው የኾነንም ነገር ሁሉ ከውሃ ፈጠርን፡፡ አያምኑምን | (30) Are the disbelievers not aware that the heavens and earth were joined together and then We split them apart? We created from water every living thing. Will they not then believe? |
| (31) በምድርም ውስጥ በእነሱ እንዳታረገርግ ጋራዎችን አደረግን፡፡ ይመሩም ዘንድ በእርሷ ውስጥ ሰፋፊ መንገዶችን አደረግን፡፡ | (31) We have set on the earth firm mountains so it does not shake with them, and We have made therein broad pathways so that they may find their way. |
| (32) ሰማይንም (ከመውደቅ) የተጠበቀ ጣራ አደረግን፡፡ እነርሱም ከተዓምራቶቿ ዘንጊዎች ናቸው፡፡ | (32) And We have made the sky a well-protected canopy, yet they turn away from its signs. |
| (33) እርሱም ሌሊትንና ቀንን፣ ፀሐይንና ጨረቃንም የፈጠረ ነው፡፡ ሁሉም በፈለካቸው ውስጥ ይዋኛሉ፡፡ | (33) It is He Who created the night and the day, the sun and the moon – each floating in its orbit. |
| (34) (ሙሐመድ ሆይ!) ካንተ በፊት ለማንም ሰው ዘለዓለም መኖርን አላደረግንም፡፡ ታዲያ ብትሞት እነሱ ዘውታሪዎች ናቸውን | (34) We did not grant immortality to any human being before you [O Prophet]. So if you die, will they live forever? |
| (35) ነፍስ ሁሉ ሞትን ቀማሽ ናት፡፡ ለመፈተንም በክፉም በበጎም እንሞክራችኋለን፡፡ ወደኛም ትመለሳላችሁ፡፡ | (35) Every soul will taste death; We test you with bad and good as a trial, then to Us you will all be returned. |
| (36) እነዚያም የካዱት ሰዎች ባዩህ ጊዜ መሳለቂያ አድርገው እንጂ አይይዙህም፡፡ እነሱ በአልረሕማን መወሳት እነርሱ ከሓዲዎች ሲሆኑ «ያ አማልክቶቻችሁን (በክፉ) የሚያነሳው ይህ ነውን» (ይላሉ)፡፡ | (36) When the disbelievers see you, they only take you in ridicule, [saying], “Is this the one who speaks ill of your gods?” while they reject even the mention of the Most Compassionate. |
| (37) ሰው ቸኳይ ሆኖ ተፈጠረ፡፡ ተዓምራቶቼን በእርግጥ አሳያችኋለሁና አታቻኩሉኝ፡፡ | (37) Man is created of haste. I will show you My signs, so do not ask Me to hasten them. |
| (38) «ይህ ቀጠሮም መቼ ነው እውነተኞች ከኾናችሁ (አምጡት)» ይላሉ፡፡ | (38) They say, “When will this promise come to pass, if you are truthful?” |
| (39) እነዚያ የካዱት ከፊቶቻቸውና ከጀርባዎቻቸው ላይ እሳትን የማይከለክሉበትን እነሱም የማይረዳዱበትን ጊዜ ቢያውቁ ኖሮ (ይህንን አይሉም ነበር)፡፡ | (39) If only the disbelievers knew the moment when they will be unable to ward the Fire off their faces or their backs, nor will they be helped. |
| (40) ይልቁንም (ሰዓቲቱ) በድንገት ትመጣቸዋለች፤ ታዋልላቸዋለችም፡፡ መመለሷንም አይችሉም፡፡ እነሱም አይቆዩም፡፡ | (40) Rather, it will come upon them suddenly and stun them; they will not be able to avert it, nor will they be given respite. |
| (41) ከአንተ በፊትም የነበሩት መልክተኞች በእርግጥ ተቀለደባቸው፡፡ በእነዚያም ከእነሱ ይቀልዱ በነበሩት በርሱ ይሳለቁበት የነበሩት (ቅጣት) ሰፈረባቸው፡፡ | (41) Indeed, there were messengers before you who were ridiculed, but those who mocked them were encompassed by what they used to ridicule. |
| (42) «ከአልረሕማን (ቅጣት) በሌሊትና በቀን የሚጠብቃችሁ ማነው» በላቸው፡፡ በእውነቱ እነሱ ከጌታቸው ግሳጼ (ከቁርአን) ዘንጊዎች ናቸው፡፡ | (42) Say, “Who can protect you by night and by day against the Most Compassionate?” Yet they turn away from the admonition of their Lord. |
| (43) ለእነሱ ከእኛ ሌላ የምትከላከልላቸው አማልክት አለቻቸውን ነፍሶቻቸውን መርዳትን አይችሉም፡፡ እነርሱም (ከሓዲዎቹ) ከእኛ አይጠበቁም፡፡ | (43) Do they have gods who can defend them against Us? They cannot even help themselves, nor will they be protected from Us. |
| (44) በእውነት እነዚህንና አባቶቻቸውን በእነሱ ላይ ዕድሜ እስከ ረዘመባቸው ድረስ አጣቀምናቸው፡፡ (ተታለሉም)፡፡ እኛ ምድርን ከጫፎችዋ የምናጎላት ኾነን ስንመጣባት አያዩምን እነሱ አሸናፊዎች ናቸውን | (44) Nevertheless, We have provided for them and their forefathers luxuries which they enjoyed for a long time. Do they not see that We gradually reduce the land from its outlying sides? Is it they who will then prevail? |
| (45) «የማስፈራራችሁ በተወረደልኝ ብቻ ነው፡፡ ግን ደንቆሮዎች በሚስፈራሩ ጊዜ ጥሪን አይሰሙም» በላቸው፡፡ | (45) Say, “I only warn you by divine revelation.” But the deaf cannot hear the call when they are warned. |
| (46) ከጌታህ ቅጣትም ወላፈን ብትነካቸው «ዋ ጥፋታችን! እኛ በዳዮች ነበርን» ይላሉ፡፡ | (46) If a mere breath of your Lord’s torment were to touch them, they would surely say, “Woe to us! We were indeed wrongdoers.” |
| (47) በትንሣኤም ቀን ትክክለኛ ሚዛኖችን እናቆማለን፡፡ ማንኛይቱም ነፍስ ምንንም አትበደልም፡፡ (ሥራው) የሰናፍጭ ቅንጣት ያክል ቢኾንም እርሷን እናመጣታለን፡፡ ተቆጣጣሪዎችም በኛ በቃ፡፡ | (47) We will place the scales of justice on the Day of Resurrection, and no soul will be wronged in the least. Even if a deed is the weight of a mustard seed, We will bring it forth. Sufficient are We as Reckoners. |
| (48) ለሙሳና ለሃሩንም እውነትንና ውሸትን የሚለይን ብርሃንንም ለጥንቁቆችም መገሰጫን በእርግጥ ሰጠናቸው፡፡ | (48) We certainly gave Moses and Aaron the Criterion, a shining light and admonition for the righteous, |
| (49) ለእነዚያ ጌታቸውን በሩቅ ለሚፈሩት እነሱም ከሰዓቲቱ ተጨናቂዎች ለኾኑ (መገሰጫን ሰጠን)፡፡ | (49) those who fear their Lord without seeing Him, and are apprehensive of the Hour. |
| (50) ይህም (ቁርኣን) ያወረድነው የኾነ ብሩክ መገሰጫ ነው፡፡ ታዲያ እናንተ ለእርሱ ከሓዲዎች ናችሁን | (50) And this [Qur’an] is a blessed reminder which We have sent down. Are you still denying it? |
| (51) ለኢብራሂምም ከዚያ በፊት ቅን መንገዱን በእርግጥ ሰጠነው፡፡ እኛም በእርሱ (ተገቢነት) ዐዋቂዎች ነበርን፡፡ | (51) Indeed, We had given Abraham sound judgment before, for We know him well. |
| (52) ለአባቱና ለሕዝቦቹ «ይህቺ ቅርጻ ቅርጽ ያቺ እናንተ ለእርሷ ተገዢዎች የኾናችሁት ምንድን ናት» ባለ ጊዜ (መራነው)፡፡ | (52) When he said to his father and his people, “What are these statues to which you are so devoted?” |
| (53) «አባቶቻችንን ለእርሷ ተገዢዎች ኾነው አገኘን» አሉት፡፡ | (53) They said, “We found our forefathers worshiping them.” |
| (54) «እናንተም አባቶቻችሁም በእርግጥ በግልጽ ስህተት ውስጥ ነበራችሁ» አላቸው፡፡ | (54) He said, “Indeed, you and your forefathers were clearly misguided.” |
| (55) «በምሩ መጣህልን ወይንስ አንተ ከሚቀልዱት ነህ» አሉት፡፡ | (55) They said, “Have you come to us with the truth, or are you joking?” |
| (56) «አይደለም ጌታችሁ የሰማያትና የምድር ጌታ ያ የፈጠራቸው ነው፡፡ እኔም በዚህ ላይ ከመስካሪዎቹ ነኝ» አለ፡፡ | (56) He said, “Nay, your Lord is the Lord of the heavens and earth, Who created them, and I am one of those who bear witness to it. |
| (57) «በአላህም እምላለሁ ዟሪዎች ኾናችሁ ከሄዳችሁ በኋላ ጣዖቶቻችሁን ተንኮል እሠራባቸዋለሁ» (አለ)፡፡ | (57) By Allah, I will surely plot against your idols after you have turned and gone away.” |
| (58) (ዘወር ሲሉ) ስብርብሮችም አደረጋቸው፡፡ ለእነሱ የኾነ አንድ ታላቅ (ጣዖት) ብቻ ሲቀር ወደርሱ ይመለሱ ዘንድ (እርሱን ተወው)፡፡ | (58) So he broke them into pieces, except the biggest of them, so that they might come back to it. |
| (59) «በአማልክቶቻችን ይህንን የሠራ ማነው እርሱ በእርግጥ ከበደለኞች ነው» አሉ፡፡ | (59) They said, “Who has done this to our gods? He is indeed one of the wrongdoers.” |
| (60) «ኢብራሂም የሚባል ጎበዝ (በመጥፎ) ሲያነሳቸው ሰምተናል» ተባባሉ፡፡ | (60) They said, “We heard a young man, speaking ill of them, who is called Abraham.” |
| (61) «ይመሰክሩበት ዘንድ በሰዎቹ ዓይን (ፊት) ላይ አምጡት» አሉ፡፡ | (61) They said, “Bring him then before the eyes of the people, so that they may witness [his trial].” |
| (62) «ኢብራሂም ሆይ! በአማልክቶቻችን ይህንን የሠራህ አንተ ነህን» አሉት፡፡ | (62) They said, “Are you the one who did this to our gods, O Abraham?” |
| (63) «አይደለም ይህ ታላቃቸው ሠራው፡፡ ይናገሩም እንደ ኾነ ጠይቋቸው» አለ፡፡ | (63) He said, “Rather, it was this biggest one who did it. So ask them, if they can speak!” |
| (64) ወደ ነፍሶቻቸውም ተመለሱ፡፡ «እናንተ (በመጠየቃችሁ) በዳዮቹ እናንተው ናችሁም» ተባባሉ፡፡ | (64) So they turned back to one another, and said, “Indeed, it is you who are the wrongdoers.” |
| (65) ከዚያም በራሶቻቸው ላይ ተገለበጡ፡፡ «እነዚህ የሚናገሩ አለመኾናቸውን በእርግጥ ዐውቀሃል፤» (አሉ)፡፡ | (65) Then they turned to their obstinacy, [saying], “You already know that they cannot speak.” |
| (66) «ታዲያ ለእናንተ ምንም የማይጠቅማችሁንና የማይጎዳችሁን ነገር ከአላህ ሌላ ትገዛላችሁን» አላቸው፡፡ | (66) Abraham said, “Do you then worship besides Allah that which can neither benefit nor harm you in the least? |
| (67) «ፎህ! ለእናንተ ከአላህ ሌላ ለምትገዙትም ነገር፤ አታውቁምን» (አለ)፡፡ | (67) Fie upon you and upon all that you worship besides Allah! Do you not have any sense?” |
| (68) «ሠሪዎች እንደ ኾናችሁ አቃጥሉት፡፡ አማልክቶቻችሁንም እርዱ» አሉ፡፡ (በእሳት ላይ ጣሉትም)፡፡ | (68) They said, “Burn him and avenge your gods, if you must do something.” |
| (69) «እሳት ሆይ! በኢብራሂም ላይ ቀዝቃዛ፤ ሰላምም ሁኚ» አልን፡፡ | (69) We said, “O fire, be cool and safe for Abraham.” |
| (70) በእርሱም ተንኮልን አሰቡ፡፡ በጣም ከሳሪዎችም አደረግናቸው፡፡ | (70) They plotted to harm him, but We made them the worst losers. |
| (71) እርሱንና ሉጥንም ወደዚያች፤ በውስጧ ለዓለማት በረከትን ወደ አደረግንባት ምድር (በመውሰድ) አዳን፡፡ | (71) And We saved him and Lot [and brought him] to the land [of Levant] that we have blessed for all people. |
| (72) ለእርሱም ኢስሐቅን ያዕቆብንም ተጨማሪ አድርገን ሰጠነው፡፡ ሁሉንም መልካሞች አደረግን፡፤ | (72) And We gave him Isaac, and then Jacob, a grandson, and We made all of them righteous. |
| (73) በትዕዛዛችንም ወደ በጎ ሥራ የሚመሩ መሪዎች አደረግናቸው፡፡ ወደእነሱም መልካም ሥራዎችን መሥራትን፣ ሶላትንም መስገድን፣ ዘካንም መስጠትን አወረድን፡፡ ለእኛ ተገዢዎችም ነበሩ፡፡ | (73) And We made them leaders, guiding people by Our command, and We inspired them to do righteous deeds, establish prayer and give zakah; and they were Our true worshipers. |
| (74) ሉጥንም ፍርድንና ዕውቀትን ሰጠነው፡፡ ከዚያችም መጥፎ ሥራዎችን ትሠራ ከነበረችው ከተማ አዳንነው፡፡ እነሱ ክፉ ሰዎች አመጸኞች ነበሩና፡፡ | (74) To Lot We gave sound judgment and knowledge, and We saved him from the town that was engrossed in shameful practices. They were Indeed an evil and rebellious people. |
| (75) በችሮታችንም ውስጥ አገባነው፡፡ እርሱ ከመልካሞቹ ነውና፡፡ | (75) And We admitted him to Our mercy, for he was one of the righteous. |
| (76) ኑሕንም ከዚያ በፊት (ጌታውን) በጠራ ጊዜ (አስታውስ)፡፡ ለእርሱም (ጥሪውን) ተቀበልነው፡፡ እርሱንም ቤተሰቦቹንም ከከባድ ጭንቅ አዳን፡፡ | (76) And [remember] Noah, when he called out to Us before, so We responded to him and saved him and his household from the great distress. |
| (77) ከነዚያም በታምራቶቻችን ከአስተባበሉት ሕዝቦች (ተንኮል) ጠበቅነው፡፡ እነሱ ክፉ ሕዝቦች አመጸኞች ነበሩና፡፡ ሁሉንም አሰጠምናቸውም፡፡ | (77) And We helped him against the people who rejected Our signs. They were indeed an evil people, so We drowned them all. |
| (78) ዳውድንና ሱለይማንንም በአዝመራው ነገር በሚፈርዱ ጊዜ የሕዝቦቹ ፍየሎች ሌሊት በርሱ ውስጥ በተሰማሩ ጊዜ (አስታውስ)፡፡ ፍርዳቸውንም ዐዋቂዎች ነበርን፡፡ | (78) And [remember] David and Solomon, when they passed judgment about the tillage into which some people’s sheep had strayed at night, and We were witnesses to their judgment. |
| (79) ለሱለይማንም (ትክክለኛይቱን ፍርድ) አሳወቅናት፡፡ ለሁሉም ጥበብንና ዕውቀትን ሰጠን፡፡ ተራራዎችን ከዳውድ ጋር የሚያወድሱ ሲኾኑ ገራን፡፡ አእዋፍንም (እንደዚሁ ገራን)፡፡ ሠሪዎችም ነበርን፡፡ | (79) We made Solomon understand it, although We gave each of them sound judgment and knowledge. We subjected the mountains and birds to glorify Allah along with David. It was We Who did all this. |
| (80) የብረት ልብስንም ሥራ ለእናንተ ከጦራችሁ ትጠብቃችሁ ዘንድ አስተማርነው፡፡ እናንተ አመስጋኞች ናችሁን | (80) And We taught him the art of making coats of mail for you to protect yourselves in your battle. Will you then be grateful? |
| (81) ለሱለይማንም ነፋስን በኀይል የምትነፍስ በትዕዛዙ ወደዚያች በእርሷ ውስጥ በረከትን ወደ አደረግንባት ምድር (ወደ ሻም) የምትፈስ ስትኾን (ገራንለት)፡፡ በነገሩ ሁሉም ዐዋቂዎች ነበርን፡፡ | (81) And to Solomon [We subjected] the raging wind, to blow by his command to the land We had blessed. It is We Who have full knowledge of everything. |
| (82) ከሰይጣናትም ለእርሱ (ሉልን ለማውጣት) የሚጠልሙንና ከዚያም ሌላ ያለን ሥራ የሚሠሩን (ገራንለት)፡፡ ለእነሱም ተጠባባቂዎች ነበርን፡፡ | (82) And among the devils [We subjected] those who dived for him and performed other duties. It is We Who were watching over them. |
| (83) አዩብንም (ኢዮብን) ጌታውን «እኔ መከራ አገኘኝ አንተም ከአዛኞች ሁሉ ይበልጥ አዛኝ ነህ» ሲል በተጣራ ጊዜ (አስታውስ)፡፡ | (83) And [remember] Job, when he cried out to his Lord, “I have been struck by adversity, and You are the Most Merciful of those who show mercy.” |
| (84) ለእርሱም ጥሪውን ተቀበልነው፡፡ ከጉዳትም በእርሱ ላይ የነበረውን ሁሉ አስወገድን፡፡ ቤተሰቦቹንም ከእነሱም ጋር መሰላቸውን ከእኛ ዘንድ ለችሮታና ለተገዢዎች ለማስገንዘብ ሰጠነው፡፡ | (84) So We responded to him and relieved his adversity, and We restored to him his family, twice as many, as a mercy from Us and as a reminder for Our worshipers. |
| (85) ኢስማዒልንም ኢድሪስንም ዙልኪፍልንም (አስታውስ)፡፡ ሁሉም ከታጋሾቹ ናቸው፡፡ | (85) And [remember] Ishmael, Idrīs and Dhul-Kifl; they were all steadfast. |
| (86) ከችሮታችንም ውስጥ አገባናቸው፡፡ እነሱ ከመልካሞቹ ናቸውና፡፡ | (86) And We admitted them to Our mercy, for they were truly righteous. |
| (87) የዓሳውንም ባለቤት ተቆጥቶ በኼደ ጊዜ (አስታውስ)፡፡ በእርሱም ላይ ፈጽሞ የማንፈርድበት መኾናችንን ጠረጠረ፡፡ (ዓሳም ዋጠው)፡፡ በጨለማዎችም ውስጥ ኾኖ ከአንተ በቀር ሌላ አምላክ የለም፡፡ ጥራት ይገባህ፡፡ እኔ በእርግጥ ከበዳዮቹ ነበርኩ በማለት ተጣራ፡፡ | (87) And [remember] the Man of the Whale [Jonah] when he departed in anger, thinking that We would not take him to task. Then he cried out in the depths of darkness, “None has the right to be worshiped except You. Glory be to You! I have certainly done wrong”. |
| (88) ለርሱም ጥሪውን ተቀበልነው፡፡ ከጭንቅም አዳነው፡፡ እንደዚሁም ምእመናንን እናድናለን፡፡ | (88) So We answered his prayer and rescued him from distress. This is how We rescue the believers. |
| (89) ዘከሪያንም «ጌታዬ ሆይ! ብቻዬን አትተወኝ፡፡ አንተም ከወራሾች ሁሉ በላጭ ነህ ሲል» ጌታውን በተጣራ ጊዜ (አስታውስ)፡፡ | (89) And [remember] Zachariah, when he cried out to his Lord, “My Lord, do not leave me childless, for You are the Best of Inheritors.” |
| (90) ለእርሱም ጥሪውን ተቀበልነው፡፡ ለእርሱም የሕያን ሰጠነው፡፡ ለእርሱም ሚስቱን አበጀንለት፡፡ እነርሱ በበጎ ሥራዎች የሚቻኮሉ ከጃዮችና ፈሪዎች ኾነው የሚለምኑንም ነበሩ፡፡ ለእኛ ተዋራጆችም ነበሩ፡፡ | (90) So We answered his prayer and gave him John, and made his wife fertile. They used to hasten in doing good deeds and used to call upon Us with hope and fear, and they were humble before Us. |
| (91) ያችንም ብልቷን የጠበቀቺውን በርሷም ውስጥ ከመንፈሳችን የነፋንባትን እርሷንም ልጅዋንም (እንደዚሁ) ለዓለማት ተዓምር ያደረግናትን (መርየምን አስታውስ)፡፡ | (91) And [remember Mary] who guarded her chastity; We breathed in her [garment] through Our spirit [Gabriel], and made her and her son a sign for all people. |
| (92) ይህች (ሕግጋት) አንዲት መንገድ ስትሆን በእርግጥ ሃይማኖታችሁ ናት፡፡ እኔም ጌታችሁ ነኝና ተገዙኝ፡፡ | (92) Indeed, this religion of yours is one religion, and I am your Lord, so worship Me alone. |
| (93) በሃይማኖታቸውም ነገር በመካከላቸው ተለያዩ፡፡ ሁሉም ወደኛ ተመላሾች ናቸው፡፡ | (93) But people have divided themselves into sects; yet they will all return to Us. |
| (94) እርሱ ያመነ ኾኖ ከበጎ ሥራዎች ማንኛውንም የሚሠራም ሰው፤ ምንዳውን አይነፈግም፡፡ እኛም ለእርሱ መዝጋቢዎች ነን፡፡ | (94) Whoever does righteous deeds while he is a believer, his efforts will not be denied, for We are recording them all. |
| (95) ባጠፋናትም ከተማ ላይ እነሱ (ወደኛ) የማይመለሱ መኾናቸው እብለት ነው፤ (ይመለሳሉ)፡፡ | (95) It is not possible for any town that We have destroyed to ever come back [to this world], |
| (96) የእጁጅና መእጁጅም እነርሱ ከየተረተሩ የሚንደረደሩ ሲኾኑ (ግድባቸው) በተከፈተች ጊዜ፥ | (96) until when Gog and Magog are let loose, swarming swiftly from every mound, |
| (97) እውነተኛውም ቀጠሮ በቀረበ ጊዜ፥ ያን ጊዜ እነሆ የእነዚያ የካዱት ሰዎች ዓይኖች ይፈጥጣሉ፡፡ «ዋ ጥፋታችን! ከዚህ (ቀን) በእርግጥ በዝንጋቴ ላይ ነበርን፤ በእውነትም በዳዮች ነበርን» (ይላሉ)፡፡ | (97) when the True Promise draws near, the eyes of those who disbelieved will stare in horror, [saying], “Woe to us! We were indeed heedless of this; nay, we were wrongdoers.” |
| (98) እናንተ ከአላህ ሌላ የምትግገዟቸውም (ጣዖታት) የገሀነም ማገዶዎች ናችሁ፡፡ እናንተ ለእርሷ ወራጆች ናችሁ፡፡ | (98) Indeed, you and all that you worship besides Allah will be the fuel for Hell; you will surely enter it. |
| (99) እነዚህ (ጣዖታት) አማልክት በነበሩ ኖሮ አይገቧዋትም ነበር፡፡ ግን ሁሉም በእርሷ ውስጥ ዘውታሪዎች ናቸው፡፡ | (99) If these [idols] had truly been gods, they would not have entered it. But they will all abide therein forever. |
| (100) ለእነርሱ በእርሷ ውስጥ መንሰቅሰቅ አላቸው፡፡ እነርሱም በውስጧ (ምንንም) አይሰሙም፡፡ | (100) They will groan therein with anguish, and they will not be able to hear anything. |
| (101) እነዚያ ከእኛ መልካሟ ቃል ለእነርሱ ያለፈችላቸው እነዚያ ከርሷ የተራቁ ናቸው፡፡ | (101) But those for whom We have decreed the finest reward, they will be far away from it. |
| (102) ድምጽዋን አይሰሙም፡፡ እነርሱም ነፍሶቻቸው በሚሹት ነገር ውስጥ ዘውታሪዎች ናቸው፡፡ | (102) They will not hear its slightest hissing, and they will abide forever in whatever their souls desire. |
| (103) ታላቁ ድንጋጤ አያስተክዛቸውም፡፡ መላእክትም ይህ ያ ትቀጠሩ የነበራችሁት ቀናችሁ ነው፤ እያሉ ይቀበሏቸዋል፡፡ | (103) They will not be grieved by the Greatest Terror, and the angels will receive them [saying], “This is your Day that you were promised”. |
| (104) ለመጽሐፎች የኾኑ ገጾች እንደሚጠቀለሉ ሰማይን የምንጠቀልልበትን ቀን (አስታውስ)፡፡ የመጀመሪያን ፍጥረት እንደ ጀመርን እንመልሰዋለን፡፡ (መፈጸሙ) በእኛ ላይ የኾነን ቀጠሮ ቀጠርን፡፡ እኛ (የቀጠርነውን) ሠሪዎች ነን፡፡ | (104) On the Day when We roll up the heavens like a scroll of records. Just as We originated the first creation, so We will bring it back. That is Our binding promise, which We will surely do. |
| (105) ምድንም መልካሞቹ ባሮቼ ይወርሷታል ማለትን ከመጽሐፉ (ከተጠበቀው ሰሌዳ) በኋላ በመጽሐፎቹ በእርግጥ ጽፈናል፡፡ | (105) We have written in the Psalms after the Preserved Record, that the land will be inherited by My righteous slaves. |
| (106) በዚህ (ቁርኣን) ውስጥ ለተገዢዎች ሕዝቦች በቂነት አልለ፡፡ | (106) Indeed, there is a message in this [Qur’an] for devoted worshipers. |
| (107) (ሙሐመድ ሆይ!) ለዓለማትም እዝነት አድርገን እንጅ አልላክንህም፡፡ | (107) We have not sent you [O Prophet] except as a mercy to the worlds. |
| (108) «ያ ወደኔ የሚወረደው አምላካችሁ አንድ አምላክ ብቻ ነው ማለት ነው፤ ታዲያ እናንተ ፍጹም ታዛዦች ናችሁን» በላቸው፡፡ | (108) Say, “It is only revealed to me that your God is only One God; will you then submit to Him? |
| (109) እምቢም ቢሉ (በማወቅ) በእኩልነት ላይ ኾነን (የታዘዝኩትን) አስታውቅኋችሁ፡፡ «የምትስፈራሩበትም ነገር ቅርብ ወይም ሩቅ መኾኑን አላውቅም፤» በላቸው፡፡ | (109) But if they turn away, say, “I have proclaimed the message to you all alike, and I do not know whether what you are warned of is near or far. |
| (110) እርሱ ከንግግር ጩኸትን ያውቃል፡፡ የምትደብቁትንም ሁሉ ያውቃል፡፡ | (110) Indeed, He knows what is said openly and knows what you conceal. |
| (111) እርሱም (ቅጣትን ማቆየት) ምናልባት ለእናንተ ፈተናና እስከ ጊዜው መጠቃቀሚያ እንደሆነም አላውቅም፤ (በላቸው)፡፡ | (111) I do not know; perhaps this [delay] is a test for you and an enjoyment for a while.” |
| (112) «ጌታዬ ሆይ! በእውነት ፍረድ፤ ጌታችንም እጅግ በጣም ሩኅሩኅ በምትሉት ነገር ላይ መታገዣ ነው» አለ፡፡ | (112) [The Prophet] said, “My Lord, judge [between us] in truth. Our Lord is the Most Compassionate Whose help is to be sought against what you describe.” |
