| (1) ለሃሜተኛ ለዘላፊ ሁሉ ወዮለት፡፡ |
(1) Woe to every backbiter and slanderer, |
| (2) ለዚያ ገንዘብን የሰበሰበና የቆጣጠረው (ያደለበውም) ለኾነ ፤(ወዮለት)፡፡ |
(2) who amasses wealth and counts it over and again, |
| (3) ገንዘቡ የሚያዘወትረው መኾኑን ያስባል፡፡ |
(3) thinking that his wealth will make him live forever. |
| (4) ይከልከል፤ በሰባሪይቱ (እሳት) ውስጥ በእርግጥ ይጣላል፡፡ |
(4) No indeed! He will surely be cast into the Crushing Fire, |
| (5) ሰባሪይቱም ምን እንደ ኾነች ምን አሳወቀህ? |
(5) and how do you know what the Crushing Fire is? |
| (6) የተነደደችው የአላህ እሳት ናት፡፡ |
(6) It is the kindled Fire of Allah, |
| (7) ያቺ በልቦች ላይ የምትዘልቅ የኾነችው፡፡ |
(7) which reaches the hearts. |
| (8) እርሷ በእርግጥ በእነርሱ ላይ የተዘጋጀች ናት፡፡ |
(8) It will be closed down upon them, |
| (9) በተዘረጋች አዕማድ ውስጥ (የተዘጋች ናት)፡፡ |
(9) locked with towering columns. |
