84 – Al-Inshiqaaq
| (1) ሰማይ በተቀደደች ጊዜ፤ | (1) When the sky is rent asunder, |
| (2) ለጌታዋም (ትዕዛዝ) በሰማች ጊዜ፤ (ልትሰማ) ተገባትም፤ | (2) and hearkens to its Lord, as it must, |
| (3) ምድርም በተለጠጠች ጊዜ፤ | (3) and when the earth is leveled out, |
| (4) በውስጧ ያለውንም ሁሉ በጣለችና ባዶ በኾነች ጊዜ፤ | (4) and casts out all what it contains, and becomes empty, |
| (5) ለጌታዋም በሰማች ጊዜ፤ (መስማት) ተገባትም፤ (ሰው ሁሉ ሥራውን ይገናኛል)፡፡ | (5) and hearkens to its Lord, as it must, |
| (6) አንተ ሰው ሆይ! አንተ ጌታህን (በሞት) እስከምትገናኝ ድረስ ልፋትን ለፊ ነህ፤ ተገናኚውም ነህ፡፡ | (6) O humans, you are toiling towards your Lord, and you will surely meet Him. |
| (7) መጽሐፉን በቀኙ የተሰጠ ሰውማ፤ | (7) Whoever is given his Record in his right hand, |
| (8) በእርግጥ ቀላልን ምርመራ ይመረመራል፡፡ | (8) he will have an easy reckoning, |
| (9) ወደ ቤተሰቦቹም ተደሳች ኾኖ ይመለሳል፡፡ | (9) and he will return to his people joyfully. |
| (10) መጽሐፉን በጀርባው ኋላ የተሰጠ ሰውማ፤ | (10) But whoever is given his Record from behind his back, |
| (11) (ዋ! ጥፋቴ በማለት) ጥፋትን በእርግጥ ይጠራል፡፡ | (11) he will call out for destruction, |
| (12) የተጋጋመች እሳትንም ይገባል፡፡ | (12) and he will enter the Blazing Fire. |
| (13) እርሱ በቤተሰቡ ውስጥ ተደሳች ነበርና፡፡ | (13) Indeed, he used to live among his people joyfully. |
| (14) እርሱ (ወደ አላህ) የማይመለስ መኾኑን አስቧልና፡፡ | (14) and he thought that he would never return [to Allah]. |
| (15) አይደለም (ይመለሳል)፡፡ ጌታው በእርሱ (መመለስ) ዐዋቂ ነበር፤ (ነውም)፡፡ | (15) Indeed he will! His Lord was always watching him. |
| (16) አትካዱ፤ በወጋገኑ እምላለሁ፡፡ | (16) Indeed, I swear by the twilight, |
| (17) በሌሊቱም በሰበሰውም ሁሉ፤ | (17) and by the night and what it covers, |
| (18) በጨረቃውም በሞላ ጊዜ (እምላለሁ)፡፡ | (18) and by the moon when it becomes full, |
| (19) ከኹነታ በኋላ ወደ ሌላ ኹነታ ትለዋወጣላችሁ፡፡ | (19) You will surely pass from one stage to another. |
| (20) የማያምኑት ለእነርሱ ምን አላቸው? | (20) Then what is the matter with them that they do not believe, |
| (21) በእነርሱም ላይ ቁርኣን በተነበበ ጊዜ የማይሰግዱት፤ (ምንአላቸው?) | (21) and when the Qur’an is recited to them, they do not prostrate? |
| (22) በእርግጡ እነዚያ የካዱት (በትንሣኤ) ያስተባብላሉ፡፡ | (22) Rather, the disbelievers persist in denying it, |
| (23) አላህም (በልቦቻቸው) የሚቆጥሩትን ዐዋቂ ነው፡፡ | (23) but Allah knows best whatever they harbor in their hearts. |
| (24) በአሳማሚ ቅጣትም አብስራቸው፡፡ | (24) So give them the tidings of a painful punishment. |
| (25) ግን እነዚያ ያመኑና መልካሞችን የሠሩ ለእነርሱ የማይቆረጥ ምንዳ አልላቸው፡፡ | (25) But those who believe and do righteous deeds will have a never-ending reward. |
