51 – Adh-Dhaariyat
| (1) መበተንን በታኞች በኾኑት (ነፋሶች)፡፡ | (1) By the winds that scatters [dust], |
| (2) ከባድ (ዝናምን) ተሸካሚዎች በኾኑትም (ደመናዎች)፡፡ | (2) and by the heavily-laden clouds with water, |
| (3) ገር (መንሻለልን) ተንሻላዮች በኾኑትም (መርከቦች)፡፡ | (3) and by the ships that sail with ease, |
| (4) ነገርን ሁሉ አከፋፋዮች በኾኑትም (መላእክት) እምላለሁ፡፡ | (4) and by the angels who distribute [blessings] by His command. |
| (5) የምትቀጠሩት (ትንሣኤ) እውነት ነው፡፡ | (5) Indeed, what you are promised is true, |
| (6) (እንደየሥራው) ዋጋን ማግኘትም፤ ኋኝ ነው፤ (የማይቀር ነው)፡፡ | (6) and the Judgment will surely come to pass. |
| (7) የ(ከዋክብት) መንገዶች ባለቤት በኾነችው ሰማይ እምላለሁ፡፡ | (7) By the heaven with its pathways, |
| (8) እናንተ (የመካ ሰዎች) በተለያየ ቃል ውስጥ ናችሁ፡፡ | (8) Indeed, you [Makkans] have conflicting views [about the truth]. |
| (9) ከርሱ የሚዝዞር ሰው ይዝዞራል፡፡ | (9) He who is diverted from it is destined to be diverted. |
| (10) በግምት የሚናገሩ ውሸታሞች ተረገሙ፡፡ | (10) Doomed are those who base their beliefs on conjecture. |
| (11) እነዚያ እነርሱ በሚሸፍን ስሕተተ ውስጥ ዘንጊዎች የኾኑት፡፡ | (11) those who are steeped in ignorance heedlessly. |
| (12) የዋጋ መስጫው ቀን መቼ እንደ ኾነ ይጠይቃሉ፡፡ | (12) They ask [mockingly], “When is the Day of Judgment?” |
| (13) (እነርሱ) በእሳት ላይ በሚፈተኑበት ቀን ነው፡፡ | (13) It is the Day when they will be punished by the Fire. |
| (14) «መከራችሁን ቅመሱ፤ ይህ ያ በእርሱ ትቻኮሉበት የነበራችሁት ነው» (ይባላሉ)፡፡ | (14) [It will be said], “Taste your punishment! This is what you were seeking to hasten.” |
| (15) አላህን ፈሪዎቹ በአትክልቶችና በምንጮች ውስጥ ናቸው፡፡ | (15) Indeed, the righteous will be in gardens and springs, |
| (16) ያንን ጌታቸው የሰጣቸውን ተቀባዮች ኾነው፤ (በገነት ውስጥ ይኾናሉ)፡፡ እነርሱ ከዚህ በፊት መልካም ሰሪዎች ነበሩና፡፡ | (16) receiving what their Lord will give them, for they were indeed doers of good beforehand. |
| (17) ከሌሊቱ ጥቂትን ብቻ ይተኙ ነበሩ፡፡ | (17) They used to sleep but little at night, |
| (18) በሌሊቱ መጨረሻዎችም እነርሱ ምሕረትን ይለምናሉ፡፡ | (18) and before dawn they would seek forgiveness, |
| (19) በገንዘቦቻቸውም ውስጥ ለለማኝና (ከልመና) ለተከለከለም (በችሮታቸው) መብት አልለ፡፡ | (19) and in their wealth, there was a share for the beggar and the destitute. |
| (20) በምድርም ውስጥ ለሚያረጋግጡ ሰዎች ምልክቶች አልሉ፡፡ | (20) On earth there are signs for those who are certain in faith, |
| (21) በነፍሶቻችሁም ውስጥ (ምልክቶች አልሉ)፤ ታዲያ አትመለከቱምን?› | (21) and also within yourselves. Do you not see? |
| (22) ሲሳያችሁም የምትቀጠሩትም (ፍዳና ምንዳ) በሰማይ ውስጥ ነው፡፡ | (22) And in the heaven is your provision and all that you are promised. |
| (23) በሰማይና በምድር ጌታም እምላለሁ፡፡ እርሱ እናንተ እንደምትናገሩት ብጤ እርግጠኛ ነው፡፡ | (23) By the Lord of the heaven and earth, this [resurrection] is certainly as true as the fact that you can speak. |
| (24) የተከበሩት የኢብራሂም እንግዶች ወሬ መጥቶሃልን? | (24) Has there come to you the story of Abraham’s honored guests? |
| (25) በእርሱ ላይ በገቡና «ሰለም» ባሉ ጊዜ (አስታውስ)፡፡ «ሰላም ያልታወቃችሁ ሕዝቦች ናችሁ፤» አላቸው፡፡ | (25) When they came to him and said, “Peace.” He said, “Upon you be peace.” [saying to himself] “Unknown people!” |
| (26) ወደ ቤተሰቡም ተዘነበለ፤» ወዲያውም የሰባ ወይፈንን አመጣ፡፡ | (26) Then he went quickly to his household, and came with a fat [roasted] calf, |
| (27) ወደእነርሱም (አርዶና ጠብሶ) አቀረበው፡፡ «አትበሉም ወይ?» አላቸው፡፡ | (27) and placed it before them and said, “Will you not eat?” |
| (28) ከእነርሱ መፍራትንም በልቡ አሳደረ፡፡ «አትፍራ» አሉት፡፡ በዐዋቂ ወጣት ልጅም አበሰሩት፡፡ | (28) He felt apprehensive about them. They said, “Do not be afraid,” and gave him glad tidings of a knowledgeable son. |
| (29) ሚስቱም እየጮኸች መጣች፡፡ ፊቷንም መታች፡፡ «መካን አሮጊት ነኝ» አለችም፡፡ | (29) His wife cried out loud, and struck her face [in astonishment] and said, “[I am] a barren old woman!” |
| (30) እንደዚህ ጌታሽ ብሏል፡፡ «እነሆ እርሱ ጥበባ ዐዋቂ ነውና» አሏት፡፡ | (30) They said, “This is what your Lord said. Indeed, He is the All-Wise, the All-Knowing.” |
| (31) «እናንተ መልክተኞች ሆይ! ታዲያ ነገራችሁ ምንድን ነው?» አላቸው፡፡ | (31) Abraham said, “Then what is your mission, O messengers?” |
| (32) (እነርሱም) አሉ፡- «እኛ ወደ አመጸኞች ሕዝቦች ተልከናል፡፡» | (32) They said, “We have been sent to a wicked people, |
| (33) በእነርሱ ላይ ከጭቃ የኾኑን ድንጋዮች ልንለቅባቸው (ተላክን)፡፡ | (33) to send down upon them stones of clay, |
| (34) በጌታህ ዘንድ ለድንበር አላፊዎቹ (በየስማቸው) ምልክት የተደረገባት ስትኾን፡፡ | (34) marked by your Lord for the transgressors.” |
| (35) ከምእምናንም፤ በእርሷ (በከተማቸው) ውስጥ የነበሩትን አወጣን፡፡ | (35) We brought out those believers who were there, |
| (36) በውስጧም ከሙስሊሞች ከአንድ ቤት (ቤተሰቦች) በስተቀር አላገኘንም፡፡ | (36) but We only found in it one Muslim household [Lot’s family]. |
| (37) በውስጧም ለእነዚያ አሳማሚውን ቅጣት ለሚፈሩት ምልክትን አስቀረን፡፡ | (37) And We left there a sign [as a lesson] for those who fear the painful punishment. |
| (38) በሙሳም (ወሬ) ውስጥ ወደ ፈርዖን በግልጽ ማስረጃ በላክነው ጊዜ (ምልክትን አደረግን)፡፡ | (38) And [there is a sign in the story of] Moses when We sent him to Pharaoh with compelling proofs, |
| (39) ከድጋፉ (ከሰራዊቱ) ጋርም (ከእምነት) ዞረ፡፡ (እርሱ) «ድግምተኛ ወይም ዕብድ ነው» አለም፡፡ | (39) But he and his supporters turned away, and he said about [Moses], “A magician or a madman!” |
| (40) እርሱንም ሰራዊቱንም ያዝናቸው፡፡ እርሱ ተወቃሽ ሲኾን በባሕር ውስጥም ጣልናቸው፡፡ | (40) So We seized him and his soldiers, and cast them into the sea while he was blameworthy. |
| (41) በዓድም በእነርሱ ላይ መካንን ነፋስ በላክን ጊዜ (ምልክት አልለ)፡፡ | (41) And [there is a sign in the story of] ‘Ād, when We sent against them the devastating barren wind. |
| (42) በላዩ ላይ የመጣችበትን ማንኛውንም ነገር እንደ በሰበሰ አጥንት ያደረገችው ብትኾን እንጂ አትተወውም፡፡ | (42) It spared nothing it came upon except that it reduced it to ruin and decay. |
| (43) በሰሙድም ለእነርሱ «እስከ ጊዜ (ሞታችሁ) ድረስ ተጣቀሙ» በተባሉ ጊዜ (ምልክት አልለ)፡፡ | (43) And [there is a sign in the story of] Thamūd, when they were told, “Enjoy yourselves for a while.” |
| (44) ከጌታቸው ትዕዛዝም ኮሩ፡፡ እነርሱም እያዩ ጩኸት ያዘቻቸው፡፡ | (44) But they rebelled against the command of their Lord, so the thunderbolt seized them, while they were looking on. |
| (45) መቆምንም ምንም አልቻሉም፡፡ የሚርረዱም አልነበሩም፡፡ | (45) They could not withstand it, nor could they ward it off. |
| (46) የኑሕንም ሕዝቦች ከዚህ በፊት (አጠፋን)፡፡ እነርሱ አመጸኞች ሕዝቦች ነበሩና፡፡ | (46) And the people of Noah [were also destroyed] before them. They were indeed a rebellious people. |
| (47) ሰማይንም በኀይል ገነባናት፡፡ እኛም በእርግጥ ቻዮች ነን፡፡ | (47) We built the heaven with might, and We are indeed expanding it. |
| (48) ምድርንም ዘረጋናት፡፡ ምን ያማርንም ዘርጊዎች (ነን!) | (48) And We spread out the earth. How well did We smooth it out! |
| (49) ትገነዘቡም ዘንድ ከነገሩ ሁሉ ሁለት (ተቃራኒ) ዓይነትን ፈጠርን፡፡ | (49) And We have created everything in pairs, so that you may take heed. |
| (50) «ወደ አላህም ሽሹ፤ እኔ ለእናንተ ከርሱ ግልጽ አስጠንቃቂ ነኝና» (በላቸው)፡፡ | (50) So flee to Allah. Indeed, I am a clear warner to you from Him. |
| (51) ከአላህም ጋር ሌላን አምላክ አታድርጉ፡፡ እኔ ለእናንተ ከእርሱ (የተላክሁ) ግልጽ አስፈራሪ ነኝና፡፡ | (51) And do not set up another god with Allah. Indeed, I am a clear warner to you from Him.” |
| (52) (ነገሩ) እንደዚሁ ነው፡፡ እነዚያን ከእነርሱ በፊት የነበሩትን ከመልክተኛ ማንም አልመጣቸውም፡፡ (እርሱ) «ድግምተኛ ወይም ዕብድ ነው» ያሉ ቢኾኑ እንጂ፡፡ | (52) Likewise, no messenger came to those before them without being told: “A magician, or a madman!” |
| (53) በእርሱ (በዚህ ቃል) አደራ ተባብለዋልን? አይደለም፤ እነርሱ ጥጋበኞች ሕዝቦች ናቸው፡፡ | (53) Did they suggest this to one another? Rather they are a transgressing people. |
| (54) ከእነርሱም (ክርክር) ዘወር በል፤ (ተዋቸው)፡፡ አንተ ምንም ተወቃሽ አይደለህምና፡፡ | (54) So turn away from them [O Prophet], for you are not to blame. |
| (55) ገሥጽም፤ ግሣጼ ምእመናንን ትጠቅማለችና፡፡ | (55) But keep reminding them, for reminder benefits the believers. |
| (56) ጋኔንንና ሰውንም ሊግገዙኝ እንጅ ለሌላ አልፈጠርኳቸውም፡፡ | (56) I have not created the jinn and mankind except to worship Me. |
| (57) ከነርሱም ምንም ሲሳይ አልፈልግም፡፡ ሊመግቡኝም አልሻም፡፡ | (57) I seek no provision from them, nor do I want them to feed Me. |
| (58) አላህ እርሱ ሲሳይን ሰጪ የብርቱ ኀይል ባለቤት ነው፡፡ | (58) Indeed, it is Allah Who is the All-Provider, Lord of Power, the Mighty. |
| (59) ለእነዚያም ለበደሉት እንደ ጓደኞቻቸው ፋንታ ብጤ (የቅጣት) ፋንታ አልላቸው፡፡ ስለዚህ አያስቸኩሉኝ፡፡ | (59) Indeed, those who do wrong will have a share [of punishment] like that of their predecessors, so let them not ask Me to hasten it. |
| (60) ለነዚያም ለካዱት ከዚያ ከሚቀጠሩት ቀናቸው ወዮላቸው፡ | (60) So woe to those who disbelieve from [the punishment of] the Day which they are promised. |
