72 – Al-Jinn
| (1) (ሙሐመድ ሆይ!) በል «እነሆ ከጂን የኾኑ ጭፈሮች (ቁርኣንን) አዳመጡ፡፡‹እኛ አስደናቂ የኾነን ቁርኣን ሰማንም› አሉ ማለት ወደእኔ ተወረደ፡፡ | (1) Say, “It has been revealed to me that a group of jinn listened [to the Qur’an,] and they said, ‘Indeed, we have heard a wondrous recitation |
| (2) ‹ወደ ቀጥታ መንገድ የሚመራን (ቁርአን ሰማን)፡፡ በእርሱም አመንን፡፡ በጌታችንም አንድንም አናጋራም፡፡› | (2) that guides to the right way, so we have believed in it, and we will never associate anyone with our Lord. |
| (3) ‹እነሆም የጌታችን ክብር ላቀ፡፡ ሚስትንም ልጅንም አልያዘም፡፡› | (3) And that He – our exalted and glorified Lord – has neither taken a wife nor a child; |
| (4) ‹እነሆም ቂላችን በአላህ ላይ ወሰን ያለፈን (ውሸት) ይናገር ነበር፡፡› | (4) and that the fool among us [Satan] used to say outrageous things about Allah, |
| (5) ‹እኛም ሰዎችና ጋኔኖች በአላህ ላይ ውሸትን (ቃል) አይናገሩም ማለትን ጠረጠርን፡፡› | (5) although we thought that humans and jinn would never tell lies about Allah. |
| (6) ‹እነሆም ከሰዎች የኾኑ ወንዶች በጋኔን ወንዶች ይጠበቁ ነበሩ፡፡ ኩራትንም ጨመሩዋቸው፡፡› | (6) And there were some men who used to seek refuge with some jinn, but they only increased them in burden. |
| (7) ‹እነርሱም አላህ አንድንም አይቀሰቅስም ማለትን እንደጠረጠራችሁ ጠረጠሩ፡፡› | (7) They thought, just like you [jinn] thought that Allah would never send any messenger. |
| (8) ‹እኛም ሰማይን (ለመድረስ) ፈለግን፡፡ ብርቱ ጠባቂዎችንና ችቦዎችንም ተሞልታ አገኘናት፡፡ | (8) We have sought to reach the heaven but found it filled with stern guards and flaming fire. |
| (9) ‹እኛም ከእርሷ (ወሬን) ለማደመጥ በመቀመጫዎች እንቀመጥ ነበርን፡፡ አሁን ግን የሚያዳምጥ ሰው ለእርሱ ተጠባባቂ ችቦን ያገኛል፡፡ | (9) We used to take up positions there for eavesdropping, but now anyone who eavesdrops will find a flaming fire waiting for him. |
| (10) ‹እኛም በምድር ውስጥ ባልሉ ሰዎች ክፉ ተሽቷል? ወይስ በእነርሱ ጌታቸው ደግን ነገር ሽቷል? ማለትን አናውቅም፡፡ | (10) We do not know whether evil is intended for those on earth, or their Lord intends good for them. |
| (11) ‹እኛም ከእኛ ውስጥ ደጎች አልሉ፡፡ ከኛም ከዚህ ሌላ የኾኑ አልሉ፡፡ የተለያዩ መንገዶች (ባለ ቤቶች) ነበርን፡፡ | (11) Among us are some who are righteous and some who are otherwise, for we follow divergent ways. |
| (12) ‹እኛም አላህን በምድር ውስጥ ፈጽሞ የማናቅተው፤ ሸሽተንም ፈጽሞ የማናመልጠው መኾናችንን አረጋገጥን፡፡ | (12) We have realized that we can never escape Allah on earth, nor can we ever escape Him by fleeing. |
| (13) ‹እኛም መሪውን በሰማን ጊዜ በርሱ አመንን፡፡ በጌታውም የሚያምን ሰው መግጎደልንም መጭጨመርንም አይፈራም፡፡ | (13) When we heard the guidance [of the Qur’an], we believed in it. Whoever believes in his Lord will have no fear of curtailment [from his reward] or injustice. |
| (14) «እኛም ከእኛ ውስጥ ሙስሊሞች አልሉ፡፡ ከእኛም ውስጥ በዳዮች አልሉ፡፡ የሰለሙም ሰዎች እነዚያ ቅንን መንገድ መረጡ፡፡» | (14) Among us are some who are Muslims and some who are deviant. Those who accepted Islam have sought the true guidance, |
| (15) በዳዮቹማ ለገሀነም ማገዶ ኾኑ፡፡ | (15) but those who are deviant, they will be fuel for Hell.’” |
| (16) እነሆም በመንገዲቱ ላይ ቀጥ ባሉ ኖሮ ብዙ ዝናምን ባጠጣናቸው ነበር (ማለትም ተወረደልኝ)፡፡ | (16) “If they had remained steadfast on the right way, We would have given them abundant rain, |
| (17) በእርሱ ልንሞክራቸው (ባጠጣናቸው ነበር)፡፡ ከጌታውም ማስታወሻ የሚያፈገፍግ ሰው አስቸጋሪን ቅጣት ያገባዋል፡፡ | (17) as a test for them. But whoever turns away from the remembrance of his Lord, He will make him suffer an arduous punishment. |
| (18) እነሆ መስጊዶችም የአላህ ብቻ ናቸው፡፡ (በውስጣቸው) ከአላህ ጋር አንድንም አትገዙ (ማለትም)፡፡ | (18) The mosques are for Allah alone, so do not supplicate to anyone along with Allah. |
| (19) እነሆም የአላህ ባሪያ (ሙሐመድ አላህን) የሚጠራው ኾኖ በተነሳ ጊዜ (ጋኔኖች) በእርሱ ላይ ድርብርቦች ሊኾኑ ቀረቡ (ማለትም)፡፡ | (19) Yet when the slave of Allah stood up supplicating to Him, they swarmed around him.” |
| (20) «እኔ የምግገዛው ጌታየን ብቻ ነው፡፡ በእርሱም አንድንም አላጋራም» በል፡፡ | (20) Say [O Prophet], “I only supplicate to my Lord and I do not associate anyone with Him.” |
| (21) «እኔ ለእናንተ ጉዳትንም ቀጥታንም አልችልም» በላቸው፡፡ | (21) Say, “I have no power to harm or benefit you.” |
| (22) «እኔ ከአላህ (ቅጣት) አንድም አያድነኝም፡፡ ከእርሱም ሌላ መጠጊያን አላገኝም» በላቸው፡፡ | (22) Say, “None can ever protect me from Allah [if I should disobey Him], nor can I ever find refuge except in Him. |
| (23) «ከአላህ የኾነ ማድረስን መልክቶቹንም በስተቀር (አልችልም)፡፡ አላህንና መልክተኛውንም የሚያምጽ ሰው ለእርሱ የገሀነም እሳት አልለው፡፡ በውስጧ ዘላለም ዘውታሪዎች ሲኾኑ፡፡» | (23) I only convey what I receive from Allah and His messages.” And whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger will certainly be in the Fire of Hell, abiding therein forever. |
| (24) የሚስፈራሩበትንም ባዩ ጊዜ ረዳቱ ደካማ፣ ቁጥሩም አነስተኛ የኾነው ማን እንደኾነ በእርግጥ ያውቃሉ፡፡ | (24) Until when they see what they were promised, they will realize who is weaker in helpers and fewer in number. |
| (25) «የምትስፈራሩበት ነገር ቅርብ ወይም ጌታየ ለእርሱ የተወሰነ ጊዜን የሚያደርግለት (ሩቅ) መኾኑን አላውቅም» በላቸው፡፡ | (25) Say, “I do not know if what you are promised is near or my Lord has appointed a distant time for it. |
| (26) «(እርሱ) ሩቁን ምስጢር ዐዋቂ ነው፡፡ በምስጢሩም ላይ አንድንም አያሳውቅም፡፡» | (26) [He is] the Knower of the unseen, He does not reveal His unseen to anyone, |
| (27) ከመልክተኛ ለወደደው ቢኾን እንጅ (ለሌላ አይገልጽም)፡፡ እርሱም ከስተፊቱም ከስተኋላውም ጠባቂዎችን ያደርግለታል፡፡ | (27) except the messenger whom He chooses, then He appoints angel-guards before him and behind him |
| (28) እነርሱ ዘንድ ባለው ነገር ዕውቀቱ የከበበና ነገሩንም ሁሉ በቁጥር ያጠቃለለ ሲኾን የጌታቸውን መልክቶች ያደረሱ መኾናቸውን ያውቅ ዘንድ (ጠባቂ ያደርጋል)፡፡ | (28) to ensure that the messengers fully conveyed the messages of their Lord. He encompasses in His knowledge all about them, and keeps count of all things.” |
