40 – Al-Ghaafir
| (1) ሐ.መ (ሓ.ሚም)፤ | (1) Hā Mīm. |
| (2) የመጽሐፉ መወረድ አሸናፊ ዐዋቂ ከሆነው አላህ ነው፡፡ | (2) The revelation of this Book is from Allah, the All-Mighty, the All-Knowing, |
| (3) ኀጢአትን መሓሪ፣ ጸጸትንም ተቀባይ፣ ቅጣተ ብርቱ፣ የልግስና ባለቤት ከኾነው (አላህ የወረደ ነው)፡፡ ከእርሱ በቀር አምላክ የለም፡፡ መመለሻው ወደርሱ ብቻ ነው፡፡ | (3) the Forgiver of sin and Accepter of repentance, the Severe in punishment and Infinite in bounty. None has the right to be worshiped except Him. To Him is the final return. |
| (4) በአላህ አንቀጾች እነዚያ የካዱት ቢኾኑ እንጅ ማንም (በመዝለፍ) አይከራከርም፡፡ በያገሮችም ውስጥ መዘዋወራቸው አይሸንግልህ፡፡ | (4) None disputes against the signs of Allah except those who disbelieve, so do not be deceived by their movements in the land. |
| (5) ከእነርሱ በፊት የኑሕ ሕዝቦች ከኋላቸውም አሕዛቦቹ አስተባባሉ፡፡ ሕዝቦችም ሁሉ መልክተኛቸውን ሊይዙ አሰቡ፡፡ በውሸትም በእርሱ እውነትን ሊያጠፉበት ተከራከሩ፡፡ ያዝኳቸውም፡፡ ታዲያ ቅጣቴ እንዴት ነበር? | (5) Before them, the people of Noah rejected and so did [other] parties after them. Every nation plotted against its messenger to seize him, and falsely argued to refute the truth with falsehood, so I seized them. How [horrible] was My punishment! |
| (6) እንደዚሁም የጌታህ ቃል በእነዚያ በካዱት ላይ እነርሱ የእሳት ጓዶች ናቸው ማለት ተረጋገጠች፡፡ | (6) Thus the decree of your Lord was passed against those who disbelieve, that they will be the people of the Fire. |
| (7) እነዚያ ዐርሹን የሚሸከሙት እነዚያም በዙሪያው ያሉት በጌታቸው ምስጋና ያወድሳሉ፡፡ በእርሱም ያምናሉ፡፡ «ጌታችን ሆይ! ነገሩን ሁሉ በእዝነትና በዕውቀት ከበሃል፡፡ ስለዚህ ለእነዚያ ለተጸጸቱት መንገድህንም ለተከተሉት ምሕረት አድርግላቸው፡፡ የእሳትንም ቅጣት ጠብቃቸው፡፡» እያሉ ለእነዚያ ላመኑት ምሕረትን ይለምናሉ፡፡ | (7) Those [angels] who bear the Throne and those around it glorify their Lord with His praise and believe in Him, and seek forgiveness for those who believe, [saying], “Our Lord, Your mercy and knowledge encompass everything, so forgive those who repent and follow Your way, and protect them from the punishment of the Blazing Fire. |
| (8) «ጌታችን ሆይ! እነርሱንም፣ ከአባቶቻቸውና ከሚስቶቻቸውም፣ ከዝርዮቻቸውም፣ የበጀውን ሁሉ እነዚያን ቃል የገባህላቸውን የመኖሪያ ገነቶች አግባቸው፡፡ አንተ አሸናፊው ጥበበኛው አንተ ነህና፡፡ | (8) Our Lord, admit them to Gardens of Eternity which You have promised them, and the righteous from among their parents, their spouses and their offspring. Indeed, it is You Who are the All-Mighty, the All-Wise. |
| (9) «ከቅጣቶችም ጠብቃቸው፡፡ በዚያ ቀንም የምትጠብቃውን ሰው በእርግጥ አዘንክለት፡፡» ይህም እርሱ ታላቅ ማግኘት ነው፡፡ | (9) And protect them from the evil consequences [of their sins]. For whoever You protect from the evil consequences on that Day, You have surely bestowed mercy upon him. That is the supreme triumph.” |
| (10) እነዚያ የካዱት ሰዎች «ወደ እምነት በምትጠሩና በምትክዱ ጊዜ አላህ (እናንተን) መጥላቱ ነፍሶቻችሁን (ዛሬ) ከመጥላታችሁ የበለጠ ነው» በማለት ይጥጠራሉ፡፡ | (10) Those who disbelieve will be addressed, “Allah’s abhorrence of you when you were called to believe but you disbelieved was greater than your abhorrence of yourselves [Today].” |
| (11) «ጌታችን ሆይ! ሁለትን ሞት አሞትከን፡፡ ሁለትንም ሕይወት ሕያው አደረግከን፡፡ በኃጢኣቶቻችንም መሰከርን፡፡ ታዲያ (ከእሳት) ወደ መውጣት መንገድ አለን?» ይላሉ፡፡ | (11) They will say, “Our Lord, You have caused us to die twice and brought us to life twice. Now we acknowledge our sins; is there any way out?” |
| (12) «ይህ እነሆ አላህ ብቻውን በተጠራ ጊዜ ስለ ካዳችሁ በእርሱም ተጋሪ ቢደረግ የምታምኑ ስለ ኾናችሁ ነው፡፡ ስለዚህ ፍርዱ ከፍተኛ ታላቅ ለኾነው አላህ ብቻ ነው፡፡» | (12) [They will be told], “This is because when Allah was invoked alone, you disbelieved, but when others were associated with Him, you believed. The judgment belongs to Allah, the Most High, the All-Great.” |
| (13) እርሱ ያ (ለአምላክነቱ) ምልክቶቹን የሚያሳያችሁ ለእናንተም ከሰማይ ሲሳይን የሚያወርድላችሁ ነው፡፡ ወደእርሱም የሚመለስ ሰው ቢኾን እንጂ ሌላው አይገሰጽም፡፡ | (13) It is He Who shows you His signs and sends down for you provision from the sky, but none will take heed except those who turn to Him. |
| (14) አላህንም ከሓዲዎች ቢጠሉም ሃይማኖትን ለእርሱ አጥሪዎች ኾናችሁ ተገዙት፡፡ | (14) So call upon Allah with sincere devotion to Him, even if the disbelievers may dislike it. |
| (15) (እርሱ) ደረጃዎችን ከፍ አድራጊ የዐርሹ ባለቤት ነው፡፡ የመገናኛውን ቀን ያስፈራራ ዘንድ ከባሮቹ በሚሻው ሰው ላይ ከትዕዛዙ መንፈስን (ራእይን) ያወርዳል፡፡ | (15) He is Exalted in Rank, Lord of the Throne. He sends down the revelation by His command to whom He wills of His slaves, in order to warn of the Day of Meeting, |
| (16) እነርሱ (ከመቃብር) በሚወጡበት ቀን በአላህ ላይ ከእነርሱ ምንም ነገር አይደበቅም፡፡ «ንግሥናው ዛሬ ለማን ነው?» (ይባላል፤)፡፡ «ለአሸናፊው ለአንዱ አላህ ብቻ ነው» (ይባላል)፡፡ | (16) the Day when they will be brought forth, nothing about them will be hidden from Allah. [He will say], “To whom does the dominion belong this Day? To Allah, the One, the Subjugator! |
| (17) «ዛሬ ነፍስ ሁሉ በሠራችው ሥራ ትምመነዳለች፡፡ ዛሬ በደል የለም፡፡ አላህ በእርግጥ ምርመራው ፈጣን ነው» (ይባላል)፡፡ | (17) Today every soul will be recompensed for what it has earned; no injustice Today! Allah is swift in reckoning.” |
| (18) ቅርቢቱንም (የትንሣኤን) ቀን ልቦች ጭንቀትን የተመሉ ኾነው ላንቃዎች ዘንድ የሚደርሱበትን ጊዜ አስጠንቅቃቸው፡፡ ለበዳዮች ምንም ወዳጅና ተሰሚ አማላጅ የላቸውም፡፡ | (18) Warn them of the approaching Day, when hearts will be at the throats, full of distress. The wrongdoers will have no close friend or intercessor whose word may be heeded. |
| (19) (አላህ) የዓይኖችን ክዳት ልቦችም የሚደብቁትን ሁሉ ያውቃል፡፡ | (19) He knows the sneaky glances of the eyes and what the hearts conceal. |
| (20) አላህም በእውነት ይፈርዳል፡፡ እነዚያም ከእርሱ ሌላ የሚግገዟቸው በምንም አይፈርዱም፡፡ አላህ እርሱ ሰሚው ተመልካቹ ነው፡፡ | (20) Allah judges with justice, whereas those whom they invoke besides Him cannot judge at all. Indeed, it is Allah Who is the All-Hearing, the All-Seeing. |
| (21) የእነዚያን ከእነርሱ በፊት የነበሩትን ሕዝቦች ፍጻሜ እንዴት እንደነበረ ይመለከቱ ዘንድ በምድር ላይ አይኼዱምን? በኀይልና በምድር ላይ በተዋቸው ምልክቶች፤ ከእነርሱ ይበልጥ የበረቱ ነበሩ፡፡ አላህም በኀጢአቶቻቸው ያዛቸው፡፡ ለእነርሱም ከአላህ (ቅጣት) ምንም ጠባቂ አልነበራቸውም፡፡ | (21) Have they not traveled in the land to see what was the end of those who came before them? They were far superior in strength and left more impressive marks in the land, but Allah seized them for their sins, and they had none to protect them from Allah. |
| (22) ይህ (መያዝ) እነርሱ መልክተኞቻቸው በተዓምራቶች ይመጡባቸው ስለነበሩና ስለ ካዱ ነው፡፡ አላህም ያዛቸው፡፡ እርሱ ኀያል ቅጣተ ብርቱ ነውና፡፡ | (22) That was because their messengers came to them with clear proofs, but they disbelieved; so Allah seized them. He is indeed All-Powerful, Severe in punishment. |
| (23) ሙሳንም በተዓምራቶቻችንና በግልጽ ማስረጃ በእርግጥ ላክነው፡፡ | (23) We sent Moses with Our signs and compelling proof |
| (24) ወደ ፈርዖንና ወደ ሃማን፤ ወደ ቃሩንም (ላክነው)፡፡ «ድግምተኛ ውሸታም ነው» አሉም፡፡ | (24) to Pharaoh, Hāmān and Korah, but they said, “A magician! An utter liar!” |
| (25) ከእኛ ዘንድ እውነትን ይዞ በመጣላቸውም ጊዜ «የእነዚያን ከእርሱ ጋር ያመኑትን ሰዎች ወንዶች ልጆች ግደሉ፤ ሴቶቻቸውንም አስቀሩ» አሉ፡፡ የከሓዲዎችም ተንኮል በጥፋት ውስጥ እንጅ አይደለም፡፡ | (25) When he came to them with the truth from Us, they said, “Kill the sons of those who believe with him and keep their women alive.” However, the plots of the disbelievers are always bound to fail. |
| (26) ፈርዖንም «ተዉኝ፤ ሙሳን ልግደል፡፡ ጌታውንም ይጥራ፡፡ ያድነው እንደኾነ፡፡ እኔ ሃይማኖታችሁን ሊለውጥ፤ ወይም በምድር ውስጥ ጥፋትን ሊያሰራጭ እፈራለሁና» አለ፡፡ | (26) Pharaoh said, “Let me kill Moses, and let him call upon his Lord! For I fear that he may change your religion or spread corruption in the land.” |
| (27) ሙሳም «እኔ በምርመራው ቀን ከማያምን ትዕቢተኛ ሁሉ በጌታዬና በጌታችሁ ተጠበቅሁ» አለ፡፡ | (27) Moses said, “I seek refuge with my Lord and your Lord from every arrogant person who does not believe in the Day of Reckoning.” |
| (28) ከፈርዖንም ቤተሰቦች አንድ እምነቱን የሚደብቅ ምእመን ሰው አለ፡- «ሰውየውን ከጌታችሁ በተዓምራቶች በእርግጥ የመጣለችሁ ሲኾን ‹ጌታዬ አላህ ነው› ስለሚል ትገድላላችሁን? ውሸታምም ቢኾን ውሸቱ በርሱው ላይ ነው፡፡ እውነተኛ ቢኾን ግን የዚያ የሚያሰፈራራችሁ ከፊሉ ያገኛችኋል፡፡ አላህ ያንን እርሱ ድንበር አላፊ ውሸታም የኾነውን አይመራምና፡፡ | (28) A believing man from the house of Pharaoh, who was concealing his faith, said, “Would you kill a man simply because he says: ‘My Lord is Allah,’ even though he has come to you with clear proofs from your Lord? If he is a liar, he will suffer the consequences of his lie, but if he is truthful, some of what he is threatening you with will befall you. Surely Allah does not guide anyone who is a transgressor and an utter liar. |
| (29) «ወገኖቼ ሆይ! በምድር ላይ አሸናፊዎች ስትኾኑ ዛሬ መንግስቱ የእናንተ ነው፡፡ ታዲያ ከአላህ ቅጣት ቢመጣብን የሚያድነን ማን ነው?» (አለ)፡፡ ፈርዖን «የማየውን ነገር እንጅ፤ አላመለክታችሁም፡፡ ቅኑንም መንገድ እንጅ አልመራችሁም» አላቸው፡፡ | (29) O my people, the authority is yours today, being dominant in the land. But who would help us against Allah’s punishment, if it came upon us?” Pharaoh said, “I am only telling you what I think is right, and I am only guiding you to the right way.” |
| (30) ያም ያመነው ሰው አለ «እኔ በናንተ ላይ የአሕዛቦቹን ቀን ብጤ እፈራላችኋለሁ፡፡ | (30) The man who believed said, “O my people, I fear for you [a fate] like the day of the parties, |
| (31) «የኑሕን ሕዝቦች፣ የዓድንና የሰሙድንም፣ የእነዚያንም ከኋላቸው የነበሩትን ልማድ ብጤ (እፈራላችኋለሁ)፡፡ አላህም ለባሮቹ መበደልን የሚሻ አይደለም፡፡ | (31) like the fate of the people of Noah, ‘Ād and Thamūd, and those who came after them. And Allah does not want injustice for [His] slaves. |
| (32) «ወገኖቼ ሆይ! እኔ በእናንተ ላይ የመጠራሪያን ቀን እፈራለሁ፡፡» | (32) O my people, I fear for you the Day of crying out to one another, |
| (33) ወደ ኋላ ዞራችሁ በምትሸሹበት ቀን፤ ለናንተ ከአላህ (ቅጣት) ምንም ጠባቂ የላችሁም፡፡ አላህም የሚያጠመው ሰው ለርሱ ምንም አቅኚ የለውም፡፡ | (33) the Day when you will turn your backs fleeing; having none to protect you from Allah. Whoever Allah causes to stray, he will have no guide. |
| (34) ዩሱፍም ከዚህ በፊት ግልጽ ማስረጃዎችን በእርግጥ አመጣላቸሁ፡፡ ከዚያም እርሱ ካመጣላችሁ ነገር ከመጠራጠር አልተወገዳችሁም፡፡ በጠፋም ጊዜ «አላህ ከእርሱ ኋላ መልክተኛን በጭራሽ አይልክም» አላችሁ፡፡ አላህ እንደዚሁ ድንበር አላፊ ተጠራጣሪ የኾነን ሰው ያሳስታል፡፡ | (34) Joseph came to you before with clear proofs, but you never ceased to doubt what he brought you. Then when he died, you said, ‘Allah will never send a messenger after him.’ This is how Allah causes to stray anyone who transgresses and is given to much doubting, |
| (35) እነዚያ፤ የመጣላቸው አስረጅ ሳይኖር በአላህ ተዓምራቶች የሚከራከሩ (ክርክራቸው) አላህ ዘንድና እነዚያም አመኑት ዘንድ መጠላቱ በጣም ተለቀ፡፡ እንደዚሁ አላህ በኩሩ ጨካኝ (ሰው) ልብ ሁሉ ላይ ያትማል፡፡ | (35) those who argue against Allah’s signs with no proof given to them. How loathsome is that to Allah and to those who believe! This is how Allah seals the heart of every arrogant tyrant.” |
| (36) ፈርዖንም አለ «ሃማን ሆይ! መንገዶችን እደርስ ዘንድ ረዢም ሕንጻን ለእኔ ካብልኝ፡፡ | (36) Pharaoh said, “O Hāmān, build a tower for me so that I may reach the pathways – |
| (37) «የሰማያትን መንገዶች (እደርስ ዘንድ)፣ ወደ ሙሳም አምላክ እመለከት ዘንድ፡፡ እኔም ውሸታም ነው ብዬ በእርግጥ እጠረጥረዋለሁ» (አለ)፡፡ እንደዚሁም ለፈርዖን መጥፎ ሥራው ተሸለመለት፡፡ ከቅን መንገድም ታገደ፡፡ የፈርዖንም ተንኮል በከሳራ ውስጥ እንጅ አይደለም፡፡ | (37) the pathways to the heavens so that I have a look at the God of Moses, for I think he is a liar.” This is how Pharaoh’s evil deeds were made appealing to him and he was hindered from the [right] way, and the plan of Pharaoh led only to ruin. |
| (38) ያም ያመነው አለ «ወገኖቼ ሆይ! ተከተሉኝ፡፡ ቀጥታውን መንገድ እመራችኋለሁና፡፡ | (38) The man who believed said, “O my people, follow me, I will guide you to the right way. |
| (39) «ወገኖቼ ሆይ! ይህቺ ቅርቢቱ ሕይወት (ጥቂት) መጣቀሚያ ብቻ ናት፡፡ መጨረሻይቱም ዓለም እርሷ መርጊያ አገር ናት፡፡» | (39) O my people, the life of this world is only a brief enjoyment, whereas the Hereafter is the permanent abode. |
| (40) «መጥፎን የሠራ ሰው ብጤዋን እንጅ አይምመነዳም፡፡ እርሱ ምእመን ኾኖ ከወንድ ወይም ከሴት በጎን የሠራም ሰው እነዚያ ገነትን ይገባሉ፡፡ በእርሷ ውስጥ ያለ ቁጥጥር ይመገባሉ፡፡ | (40) Whoever does an evil deed will only be recompensed with the like thereof, but whoever does righteous deed, whether male or female, and he is a believer – it is they who will enter Paradise, wherein they will be given provision without measure. |
| (41) «ወገኖቼም ሆይ! ወደ መዳን የምጠራችሁ ስኾን ወደ እሳትም የምትጠሩኝ ስትኾኑ ለኔ ምን አለኝ! | (41) O my people, how is it that I call you to salvation while you call me to the Fire? |
| (42) «በአላህ ልክድና በእርሱም ለእኔ ዕውቀት የሌለኝን ነገር በእርሱ እንዳጋራ ትጠሩኛላችሁ፡፡ እኔም ወደ አሸናፊው፤ መሓሪው (አላህ) እጠራችኋለሁ፡፡ | (42) You call me to disbelieve in Allah and associate with Him what I have no knowledge of, while I call you to the All-Mighty, the Most Forgiving. |
| (43) «በእርግጥ ወደእርሱ የምትጠሩብኝ (ጣዖት) ለእርሱ በቅርቢቱም ኾነ በመጨረሻይቱ ዓለም (ተሰሚ) ጥሪ የለውም፡፡ መመለሻችንም በእርግጥ ወደ አላህ ነው፡፡ ወሰን አላፊዎቹም እነሱ የእሳት ጓዶች ናቸው፡፡ | (43) There is no doubt that those [gods] to whom you call me are not worthy of calling upon, neither in this world nor in the Hereafter. Our return is to Allah, and it is the transgressors who are the people of the Fire. |
| (44) «ወደ ፊትም ለእናንተ የምላችሁን ምክር (ቅጣትን በምታዩ ጊዜ) ታስታውሳላችሁ፡፡ ነገሬንም ሁሉ ወደ አላህ አስጠጋለሁ፡፡ አላህ ባሮቹን ተመልካች ነውና፡፡» | (44) You will remember what I am telling you, and I entrust my affairs to Allah. Allah is All-Seeing of [His] slaves.” |
| (45) ከመከሩዋቸውም መጥፎዎች አላህ ጠበቀው፡፡ በፈርዖን ቤተሰቦችም ላይ ክፉ ቅጣት ሰፈረባቸው፡፡ | (45) So Allah protected him from the evil that they plotted, and the people of Pharaoh were overwhelmed by an evil punishment: |
| (46) እሳት በጧትና በማታ በእርሷ ላይ ይቀርባሉ፡፡ ሰዓቲቱም በምትኾንበት ቀን «የፈርዖንን ቤተሰቦች ብርቱን ቅጣት (ገሀነምን) አግቡዋቸው» (ይባላል)፡፡ | (46) the Fire, which they will be exposed to [in their graves] morning and evening, and on the Day when the Hour takes place [it will be said], “Admit the people of Pharaoh into the most severe punishment.” |
| (47) በእሳትም ውስጥ የሚከራከሩበትን ጊዜ (አስታውስ)፡፡ ደካማዎቹም ለእነዚያ ለኮሩት «እኛ ለእናንተ ተከታዮች ነበርንና እናንተ (አሁን) ከእሳት ከፊሉን ከእኛ ላይ ገፍታሪዎች ናችሁን?» ይላሉ፡፡ | (47) [Imagine] when they will argue in the Fire: the weak will say to those who were arrogant, “We were your followers, can you then relieve us of a portion of the Fire?” |
| (48) እነዚያም የኮሩት «እኛ ሁላችንም በውስጧ ነን፡፡ አላህ በባሮቹ መካከል በእርግጥ ፈረደ» ይላሉ፡፡ | (48) Those who were arrogant will say, “We are all in it. Allah has already passed judgment among [His] slaves.” |
| (49) እነዚያም በእሳት ውሰጥ ያሉት ለገሀነም ዘበኞች «ጌታችሁን ለምኑልን፤ ከእኛ ላይ ከቅጣቱ አንድን ቀን ያቃልልን» ይላሉ፡፡ | (49) Those who are in the Fire will say to the keepers of Hell, “Pray to your Lord to lighten for us the punishment for just one day.” |
| (50) (ዘበኞቹም) «መልእክተኞቻችሁ በተዓምራቶች ይመጡላችሁ አልነበሩምን?» ይላሉ፡፡ (ከሓዲዎቹም) «እንዴታ መጥተውናል እንጅ፤ (ግን አስተባበልናቸው)» ይላሉ፡፡ | (50) They will say, “Did your messengers not come to you with clear proofs?” They will say, “Yes.” They will say, “Then keep praying! The prayer of the disbelievers is only in vain.” |
| (51) እኛ መልክተኞቻችንን፣ እነዚያንም ያመኑትን በቅርቢቱ ሕይወት ምስክሮችም በሚቆሙበት ቀን በእርግጥ እንረዳለን፡፡ | (51) We will surely help Our messengers and those who believe in the life of this world and on the Day when the witnesses will come forward, |
| (52) በደለኞችን ምክንያታቸው በማይጠቅማቸው ቀን (እንረዳለን)፡፡ ለእነርሱም ርግማን አልላቸው፡፡ ለእነርሱም መጥፎ አገር አልላቸው፡፡ | (52) the Day when the excuses of the wrongdoers will be of no benefit to them; and they will be cursed and for them there will be the worst abode. |
| (53) ሙሳንም መምሪያን በእርግጥ ሰጠነው፡፡ የእስራኤልንም ልጆች መጽሐፉን አወረስናቸው፡፡ | (53) We gave Moses guidance, and made the Children of Israel inherit the Scripture, |
| (54) ለባለ አእምሮዎች መሪና ገሳጭ ሲኾን፡፡ | (54) as a guide and a reminder to people of understanding. |
| (55) (ሙሐመድ ሆይ!) ታገስም የአላህ ተስፋ እውነት ነውና፡፡ ለስህተትህም ምሕረትን ለምን፡፡ ከቀትር በኋላም በማለዳም ጌታሀን ከማመስገን ጋር አጥራው፡፡ | (55) So be patient, for Allah’s promise is true. Seek forgiveness for your sin, and glorify your Lord with His praise evening and morning. |
| (56) እነዚያ የመጣላቸው አስረጅ ሳይኖር በአላህ አንቀጾች የሚከራከሩ በልቦቻቸው ውስጥ እነርሱ ደራሾቹ ያልኾኑት ኩራት ብቻ እንጅ ምንም የለም፡፡ በአላህም ተጠበቅ፡፡ እነሆ እርሱ ሰሚው ተመልካቹ ነውና፡፡ | (56) Those who argue against the verses of Allah without any proof given to them, there is nothing in their hearts but a quest for dominance which they will never attain. So seek refuge with Allah, for He is the All-Hearing, the All-Seeing. |
| (57) ሰማያትንና ምድርን መፍጠር ሰዎችን ከመፍጠር ይልቅ ታላቅ ነው፡፡ ግን አብዛኛዎቹ ሰዎች አያውቁም፡፡ | (57) The creation of the heavens and earth is far greater than the creation of mankind, but most people do not know. |
| (58) ዕውርና የሚያይ እነዚያም አምነው መልካሞችን የሠሩና መጥፎ ሠሪው አይስተካከሉም፡፡ በጣም ጥቂትን ብቻ ትገሰጻላችሁ፡፡ | (58) The blind and the seeing are not equal, nor are those who believe and do righteous deeds [equal] to those who do evil. Little do you take heed! |
| (59) ሰዓቲቱ በእርግጥ መጪ ናት፡፡ በእርሷ ጥርጥር የለም፡፡ ግን አብዛኞቹ ሰዎች አያምኑም፡፡ | (59) Indeed, the Hour is coming; there is no doubt about it, but most people do not believe. |
| (60) ጌታችሁም አለ «ለምኑኝ፤ እቀበላችኋለሁና፡፡ እነዚያ እኔን ከመግገዛት የሚኮሩት ተዋራጆች ኾነው ገሀነምን በእርግጥ ይገባሉ፡፡ | (60) Your Lord says, “Call upon Me; I will respond to you. Those who are too proud to worship Me will enter Hell, utterly debased.” |
| (61) አላህ ያ ለእናንተ ሌሊትን በውስጡ ልታርፉበት (ጨለማ) ቀንንም (ልትሠሩበት) የሚያሳይ ያደረገላችሁ ነው፡፡ አላህ በሰዎች ላይ በእርግጥ የችሮታ ባለቤት ነውና፡፡ ግን አብዛኛዎቹ ሰዎች አያመሰግኑም፡፡ | (61) It is Allah Who has made the night for you to rest therein and the day bright. Indeed, Allah is the Most Bountiful to people, but most people are ungrateful. |
| (62) ይሃችሁ ጌታችሁ አላህ ነው፤ የነገሩ ሁሉ ፈጣሪ ነው፤ ከርሱ ሌላ አምላክ የለም፤ ታዲያ (ከእምነት) ወዴት ትመለሳላችሁ፡፡ | (62) Such is Allah, your Lord, the Creator of everything; none has the right to be worshiped except Him. How can you be deluded? |
| (63) እንደዚሁ እነዚያ በአላህ አንቀጾች ይክዱ የነበሩት (ከእምነት) ይመለሳሉ፡፡ | (63) This is how deluded are those who rejected Allah’s signs. |
| (64) አላህ ያ ምድርን መርጊያ ሰማይንም ጣሪያ ያደረገላችሁ ነው፡፡ የቀረጻችኁም ቅርጻችሁንም ያሳመረ ከጣፋጮችም ሲሳዮች የሰጣችሁ ነው፡፡ ይሃችሁ ጌታችሁ አላህ ነው፡፡ የዓለማትም ጌታ አላህ ላቀ፡፡ | (64) It is Allah Who has made the earth a dwelling place for you and the sky a canopy. He shaped you and perfected your form, and provided you with good things. Such is Allah, your Lord; Blessed is Allah, Lord of the worlds. |
| (65) እርሱ ብቻ (ሁል ጊዜ) ሕያው ነው፤ ከርሱ ሌላ አምላክ የለም፤ ሃይማኖትንም ለእርሱ ያጠራችሁ ስትኾኑ «ምስጋና ለዓለማት ጌታ ለአላህ ይኹን» የምትሉ ኾናችሁ ተገዙት፡፡ | (65) He is the Ever-Living; none has the right to be worshiped except Him. So call upon Him with sincere devotion to Him. All praise be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. |
| (66) «እኔ ከጌታዬ አስረጂዎች በመጡልኝ ጊዜ እነዚያን ከአላህ ሌላ የምትገዙዋቸውን እንዳልገዛ ተከልክያለሁ፡፡ ለዓለማት ጌታም እንድገዛ ታዝዣለሁ» በላቸው፡፡ | (66) Say [O Prophet], “I have been forbidden to worship those whom you worship besides Allah, since the clear proofs have come to me from my Lord, and I have been commanded to submit to the Lord of the worlds.” |
| (67) እርሱ ያ ከዐፈር ከዚያም ከፍትወት ጠብታ ከዚያም ከረጋ ደም የፈጠራችሁ ነው፡፡ ከዚያም ሕጻናት አድርጎ ያወጣችኋል፡፡ ከዚያም ጥንካሬያችሁን ትደርሱ ዘንድ፤ ከዚያም ሽማግሌዎች ትኾኑ ዘንድ (ያቆያችኋል)፡፡ ከእናንተም ውስጥ ከዚህ በፊት የሚሞት አልለ፡፡ (ይህንንም ያደረገው ልትኖሩና) የተወሰነ ጊዜንም ልትደርሱ ታውቁም ዘንድ ነው፡፡ | (67) It is He Who created you from dust, then from a sperm-drop, then from a clinging clot. Then He brings you out as an infant, so that you may reach your age of full strength, then you become old, even though some of you may die earlier – and so that you may reach an appointed term, and so that you may understand. |
| (68) እርሱ ያ ሕያው የሚያደርግ የሚገድልም ነው፡፡ አንዳችን ነገር በሻም ጊዜ ለእርሱ የሚለውን «ኹን» ነው፤ ወዲያውም ይኾናል፡፡ | (68) It is He Who gives life and causes death. When He decrees a matter, He only says to it, “Be,” and it is. |
| (69) ወደእነዚያ በአላህ አንቀጾች ወደሚከራከሩት (ከእምነት) እንዴት እንደሚመለሱ አታይምን? | (69) Do you not see those who dispute concerning the signs of Allah, how can they be turned away? |
| (70) ወደእነዚያ በመጽሐፉ በዚያም መልክተኞቻችንን በእርሱ በላክንበት ወዳስተባበሉት (አታይምን?) ወደፊትም ያውቃሉ፡፡ | (70) those who reject the Book and what We sent Our messengers with. They will soon come to know, |
| (71) እንዛዝላዎቹና ሰንሰለቶቹ በአንገቶቻቸው ላይ በተደረጉ ጊዜ (በእርሷ) ይጎተታሉ፡፡ | (71) when the shackles will be around their necks, and with chains they will be dragged |
| (72) በገሀነም ውስጥ (ይጎተታሉ)፤ ከዚያም በእሳት ውስጥ ይማገዳሉ፡፡ | (72) into the scalding water, then they will be burned in the Fire. |
| (73) ከዚያም ለእነርሱ ይባላሉ (በአላህ) «ታጋሯቸው የነበራችሁት የታሉ?» | (73) Then it will be said to them, “Where are those whom you used to associate as partners |
| (74) «ከአላህ ሌላ (የምታጋሩዋቸው)፤ ከኛ ተሰወሩን?» «ከቶ ከዚህ በፊት ምንንም የምንገዛ አልነበርንም» ይላሉ፤ እንደዚሁ አላህ ከሓዲዎችን ያሳስታል፡፡ | (74) with Allah?” They will say, “We have lost them; rather, we never used to call upon anything before.” This is how Allah causes the disbelievers to stray. |
| (75) ይህ (ቅጣት) ያላግባብ በምድር ውሰጥ ትደሰቱ በነበራችሁትና ትንበጣረሩ በነበራችሁት ነው (ይባላሉ)፡፡ | (75) [They will be told], “This is because you used to rejoice on earth wrongfully, and you used to exult [arrogantly]. |
| (76) የገሀነምን በሮች በውስጧ ዘውታሪዎች ስትኾኑ ግቡ (ይባላሉ)፡፡ የትዕቢተኞችም መኖሪያ (ገሀነም) ምን ትከፋ! | (76) Enter the gates of Hell, abiding therein forever. Terrible is indeed the abode of the arrogant!” |
| (77) ታገስም የአላህ ቀጠሮ እውነት ነውና፡፡ የዚያንም የምናስፈራራቸውን ከፊሉን (በሕይወትህ) ብናሳይህ (መልካም ነው)፡፡ ወይም ብንገድልህ ወደኛ ይመለሳሉ፡፡ | (77) So be patient [O Prophet]. Allah’s promise is true; whether We show you some of what We threaten them with, or cause you to die [before that], to Us they will be returned. |
| (78) ካንተ በፊትም መልክተኞችን በእርግጥ ልከናል፡፡ ከእነርሱ ባንተ ላይ የተረክንልህ አልለ፡፡ ከእነርሱም ባንተ ላይ ያልተረክነው አልለ፡፡ ለማንኛውም መልክተኛ በአላህ ፈቃድ ካልኾነ ተዓምርን ሊያመጣ አይገባውም፡፡ የአላህም ትእዛዝ በመጣ ጊዜ በእውነት ይፈረዳል፡፡ እዚያ ዘንድም አጥፊዎቹ ይከስራሉ፡፡ | (78) We have sent messengers before you; of them are some whose stories We have told you, and some We have not. It was not for a messenger to bring a sign except with Allah’s permission. But when the decree of Allah comes, judgment will be passed with justice, thereupon the people of falsehood will be in utter loss. |
| (79) አላህ ያ ለእናንተ ግመልን ከብትንና ፍየልን ከእርሷ (ከፊሏን) ልትጋልቡ የፈጠረላችሁ ነው፡፡ ከእርሷም ትበላላችሁ፡፡ | (79) Allah is the One Who made the livestock for you, so that you may ride some and eat others, |
| (80) ለእናንተም በእርሷ ውስጥ ጥቅሞች አልሏችሁ፡፡ በእርሷም ላይ (እቃን በመጫን) በልቦቻችሁ ያሰባችሁትን ጉዳይ ትደርሱ ዘንድ (ፈጠረላችሁ)፡፡ በእርሷም ላይ በመርከቦችም ላይ ትሳፈራላችሁ፡፡ | (80) and you may have other benefits from them, and by them you may fulfill your heartfelt need [to reach distant places], and on them and on the ships you are carried. |
| (81) ተዓምራቱንም ያሳያችኋል፡፡ ታዲያ ከአላህ ተዓምራት የትኛውን ትክዳላችሁ? | (81) And He shows you His signs; so which of the signs of Allah will you deny? |
| (82) የእነዚያን ከእነርሱ በፊት የነበሩትን ሕዝቦች ፍጻሜ እንዴት እንደነበረ ይመለከቱ ዘንድ በምድር ላይ አይኼዱምን? ከእነርሱ ይበልጥ ብዙዎች በኀይልና በምድር ላይ በተዋቸው ምልክቶችም በጣም ብርቱዎች ነበሩ፡፡ ያም ይሠሩት የነበሩት ከእነርሱ ምንም አልጠቀማቸውም፡፡ | (82) Have they not traveled through the land to see what was the end of those who came before them? They were more in number and far superior in strength, and more impressive in marks that they left behind in the land, but all what they had earned was of no avail to them. |
| (83) መልክተኞቻቸውም ተዓምራቶችን ባመጡላቸው ጊዜ እነርሱ ዘንድ ባለው ዕውቀት ተደሰቱ፡፡ በእርሱ ይሳለቁበት የነበሩት ቅጣትም በእነርሱ ላይ ሰፈረባቸው፡፡ | (83) When their messengers came to them with clear proofs, they exulted in whatever knowledge they had, and they were overwhelmed by what they used to ridicule. |
| (84) ብርቱ ቅጣታችንንም ባዩ ጊዜ «በአላህ አንድ ሲኾን አምነናል፤ በእርሱም እናጋራ በነበርነው (ጣዖታት) ክደናል» አሉ፡፡ | (84) But when they saw Our punishment, they said, “We believe in Allah alone, and we reject what we used to associate with Him.” |
| (85) ብርቱ ቅጣታችንን ባዩ ጊዜ ማመናቸውም የሚጠቅማቸው አልነበረም፡፡ የአላህን ደንብ ያችን በባሮቹ ውስጥ ያለፈችውን (ተጠንቀቁ) በዚያ ጊዜም ከሓዲዎች ከሰሩ፡፡ | (85) But their faith was of no benefit to them when they saw Our punishment. This has always been Allah’s way with His slaves; whereupon the disbelievers were in utter loss. |
