69 – Al-Haaqqa
| (1) እውነትን አረጋጋጪቱ (ትንሣኤ)፡፡ | (1) The Inevitable Hour! |
| (2) አረጋጋጪቱም (እርሷ) ምንድን ናት! | (2) What is the Inevitable Hour? |
| (3) አረጋጋጪቱም ምን እንደኾነች ምን አሳወቀህ? | (3) How do you know what the Inevitable Hour is? |
| (4) ሰሙድና ዓድ በቆርቋሪይቱ (ትንሣኤ) አስተባበሉ፡፡ | (4) Thamūd and ‘Ād denied the striking calamity of the Hour. |
| (5) ሠሙድማ ወሰን በሌላት ጩኸት ተጠፋ፤ (ተወደሙ)፡፡ | (5) As for Thamūd, they were destroyed by a dreadful blast. |
| (6) ዓድማ በኀይል በምትንሻሻ ብርቱ ነፋስ ተጠፉ፡፡ | (6) And as for ‘Ād, they were destroyed by a furious windstorm |
| (7) ተከታታይ በኾኑ ሰባት ሌሊቶችና ስምንት መዓልቶች ውስጥ በእነርሱ ላይ ለቀቃት፡፡ ሕዝቦቹንም፤ በውስጧ የተጣሉ ኾነው ልክ ክፍት የኾኑ የዘንባባ ግንዶች መስለው ታያቸዋለህ፡፡ | (7) which He unleashed against them for seven successive nights and eight days, so you would see the people lying dead as if they were hollow trunks of palm trees. |
| (8) ለእነርሱም ቀሪን ታያለህን? | (8) Do you see any trace of them now? |
| (9) ፈርዖን ከበፊቱ የነበሩትም ሰዎች ተገልባጮቹም (ከተሞች) በኀጢአት (ሥራዎች) መጡ፡፡ | (9) Also Pharaoh and those who came before him, and the overturned cities [of Lot] committed grave sin, |
| (10) የጌታቸውንም መልእክተኛ ትዕዛዝ ጣሱ፡፡ የበረታችንም አያያዝ ያዛቸው፡፡ | (10) each disobeying the messenger of their Lord, so He seized them with a severe punishment. |
| (11) እኛ ውሃው ባየለ ጊዜ በተንሻላይቱ ታንኳ ውስጥ ጫንናችሁ፡፡ | (11) Indeed, when the floodwater overflowed, We carried you [O humans] in the sailing Ark, |
| (12) ለእናንተ መገሰጫ ልናደርጋት አጥኒ የኾነችም ጆሮ ታጠናት ዘንድ፡፡ | (12) so that We might make it a reminder for you, and that attentive ears may take heed. |
| (13) በቀንዱም አንዲት መንነፋት በተነፋች ጊዜ፡፡ | (13) Then when the Trumpet is blown with a single blast, |
| (14) ምድርና ጋራዎችም (ከስፍራቸው) በተነሱና አንዲትን መሰባበር በተሰባበሩ ጊዜ፡፡ | (14) and the earth and mountains are lifted up and crushed with a single blow, |
| (15) በዚያ ቀን ኋኝቱ (ትንሣኤ) ትኾናለች፡፡ | (15) on that Day the Inevitable Event will occur. |
| (16) ሰማይም ትቀደዳለች፡፡ ስለዚህ እርሷ በዚያ ቀን ደካማ ናት፡፡ | (16) And the sky will split asunder and will be frail on that day, |
| (17) መላእክትም በየጫፎችዋ ላይ ይኾናሉ፡፡ የጌታህንም ዐርሽ በዚያ ቀን ስምንት መላእክት ከበላያቸው ይሸከማሉ፡፡ | (17) with the angels on all its sides, and on that Day, eight [mighty angels] will bear the Throne of your Lord above them. |
| (18) በዚያ ቀን ከእናንተ ተደባቂ (ነገሮች) የማይደበቁ ሲኾኑ ትቅቀረባላችሁ፡፡ | (18) On that day, you will be brought forth [before Allah], and none of your secrets will remain hidden. |
| (19) መጽሐፉን በቀኙ የተሰጠ ሰውማ (ለጓደኞቹ) «እንኩ፤ መጽሐፌን አንብቡ» ይላል፡፡ | (19) As for the one who is given his Record in his right hand, he will say, “Here is my Record, read it! |
| (20) «እኔ ምርመራየን የምገናኝ መኾኔን አረጋገጥኩ፤» (ተዘጋጀሁም ይላል)፡፡ | (20) I was sure that I would meet my reckoning.” |
| (21) እርሱም በተወደደች ኑሮ ውሰጥ ይኾናል፡፡ | (21) So he will be in a pleasant life, |
| (22) በከፍተኛይቱ ገነት ውስጥ፡፡ | (22) in a lofty garden, |
| (23) ፍሬዎችዋ ቅርቦች የኾኑ፡፡ | (23) with clustered fruit within his reach. |
| (24) በአለፉት ቀናት ውስጥ (በምድረ ዓለም) ባስቀደማችሁት ምክንያት ብሉ፤ ጠጡም፤ (ይባላሉ)፡፡ | (24) [They will be told,] “Eat and drink joyfully for what you did in the days gone by.” |
| (25) መጽሐፉንም በግራው የተሰጠማ «ዋ ጥፋቴ! ምነው መጽሐፌን ባልተሰጠሁ» ይላል፡፡ | (25) As for the one who is given his Record in his left hand, he will say, “Would that I had not been given my Record, |
| (26) «ምርመራየንም ምን እንደኾነ ባላወቅኩ፡፡ | (26) nor had I known anything of my reckoning! |
| (27) «እርሷ (ሞት ሕይወቴን) ምነው ፈጻሚ በኾነች፡፡ | (27) Would that it [death] had been the end of me! |
| (28) «ገንዘቤ ከእኔ ምንንም አላብቃቃኝ፤ (አልጠቀመኝም)፡፡ | (28) My wealth has been of no avail to me. |
| (29) «ኀይሌ ከእኔ ላይ ጠፋ» (ይላል)፡፡ | (29) My authority has vanished.” |
| (30) «ያዙት፤ እሰሩትም፡፡ | (30) [It will be said,] “Seize him and shackle him, |
| (31) «ከዚያም በእሳት ውሰጥ አግቡት፡፡ | (31) then make him burn in the Blazing Fire, |
| (32) «ከዚያም ርዝመቷ ሰባ ክንድ በኾነች ሰንሰለት ውስጥ አግቡት፡፡» | (32) then tie him up with a chain of seventy cubits long. |
| (33) እርሱ ታላቅ በኾነው አላህ አያምንም ነበርና፡፡ | (33) For he did not believe in Allah, the Most Great, |
| (34) ድኾችንም በማብላት ላይ አያግባባም ነበርና፡፡ | (34) nor did he encourage feeding the needy. |
| (35) ለእርሱም ዛሬ እዚህ ዘመድ የለውም፡፡ | (35) So Today he will have no close friend here, |
| (36) ምግብም ከእሳት ሰዎች ቁስል እጣቢ (እዥ) በስተቀር የለውም፡፡ | (36) nor any food except the discharge of wounds, |
| (37) ኀጢኣተኞች እንጅ ሌላ አይበላውም፤ (ይባላል)፡፡ | (37) none will eat it except the sinners.” |
| (38) በምታዩትም ነገር እምላለሁ፡፡ | (38) I swear by what you can see. |
| (39) በማታዩትም ነገር፡፡ | (39) and what you cannot see! |
| (40) እርሱ (ቁርኣን) የተከበረ መልክተኛ ቃል ነው፡፡ | (40) Indeed, this is the word of a noble Messenger, |
| (41) እርሱም የባለቅኔ ቃል (ግጥም) አይደለም፡፡ ጥቂትን ብቻ ታምናላችሁ፡፡ | (41) and it is not the word of a poet; little do you believe! |
| (42) የጠንቋይም ቃል አይደለም፡፡ ጥቂትን ብቻ ታስታውሳላችሁ፡፡ | (42) Nor is it the word of a soothsayer; little do you take heed! |
| (43) ከዓለማት ጌታ የተወረደ ነው፡፡ | (43) It is a revelation from the Lord of the worlds. |
| (44) በእኛ ላይም ከፊልን ቃላት (ያላልነውን) በቀጠፈ ኖሮ፤ | (44) If he had falsely attributed something to Us, |
| (45) በኀይል በያዝነው ነበር፡፡ | (45) We would have surely seized him by the right hand, |
| (46) ከዚያም ከእርሱ የልቡን ሥር (የተንጠለጠለበትን ጅማት) በቆረጥን ነበር፡፡ | (46) then severed his aorta, |
| (47) ከእናንተም ውስጥ ከእርሱ ላይ ከልካዮች ምንም አይኖሩም፡፡ | (47) and none of you could have rescued him. |
| (48) እርሱም (ቁርኣን) ለጥንቁቆቹ መገሠጫ ነው፡፡ | (48) This [Qur’an] is indeed a reminder for those who are righteous. |
| (49) እኛም ከእናንተ ውስጥ አስተባባዮች መኖራቸውን በእርግጥ እናውቃለን፡፡ | (49) And We surely know that some of you will be deniers, |
| (50) እርሱም (ቁርኣን) በከሓዲዎቹ ላይ ጸጸት ነው፡፡ | (50) and it will certainly be a source of regret for the disbelievers. |
| (51) እርሱም የተረጋገጠ እውነት ነው፡፡ | (51) And this is indeed the absolute truth. |
| (52) የታላቁን ጌታህንም ስም አወድስ፡፡ | (52) So glorify the name of your Lord, the Most Great. |
