77 – Al-Mursalaat
| (1) ተከታታይ ኾነው በተላኩት፣ | (1) By those [winds] sent forth in succession, |
| (2) በኀይል መንፈስን ነፋሾች በኾኑትም፣ | (2) those that blow violently, |
| (3) መበተንን በታኞች በኾኑትም፤ (ነፋሶች)፣ | (3) and scatter [rainclouds] far and wide, |
| (4) መለየትን ለይዎች በኾኑትም፣ | (4) And by those [angels] who bring criterion; |
| (5) መገሠጫን (ወደ ነቢያት) ጣይዎች በኾኑትም፣ | (5) and those who deliver revelation, |
| (6) ምክንያትን ለማስወገድ ወይም ለማስፈራራት (ጣይዎች በኾኑት መላእክት) እምላለሁ፡፡ | (6) leaving no excuse or giving warning – |
| (7) ያ የምትስፈራሩበት (ትንሣኤ) በእርግጥ ኋኝ ነው፡፡ | (7) what you are promised will surely come to pass. |
| (8) ከዋክብትም (ብርሃንዋ) በታበሰች ጊዜ፡፡ | (8) So when the stars are extinguished, |
| (9) ሰማይም በተከፈተች ጊዜ፡፡ | (9) and when the sky is split apart, |
| (10) ጋራዎችም በተንኮተኮቱ ጊዜ፡፡ | (10) and when the mountains are blown away, |
| (11) መልክተኞቹም ወቅት በተደረገላቸው ጊዜ፡፡ | (11) and when the messengers are summoned, |
| (12) ለየትኛው ቀን ተቀጠሩ (የሚባል ሲኾን)፤ | (12) until which Day has all this been postponed? |
| (13) ለመለያው ቀን (በተባለ ጊዜ፤ በፍጡሮች መካከል ይፈረዳል)፡፡ | (13) Until the Day of Judgment. |
| (14) የመለያውም ቀን ምን እንደኾነ ምን አሳወቀህ? | (14) How do you know what the Day of Judgment is? |
| (15) ለአስተባባዮች በዚያ ቀን ወዮላቸው፡፡ | (15) Woe on that Day to the deniers! |
| (16) የፊተኞቹን (ሕዝቦች) አላጠፋንምን? | (16) Did We not destroy the earlier nations? |
| (17) ከዚያም የኋለኞቹን እናስከትላቸዋለን፡፡ | (17) Then We will do likewise to the later ones. |
| (18) በአመጸኞች ሁሉ እንደዚሁ እንሠራለን፡፡ | (18) This is how We deal with the wicked. |
| (19) ለአስተባባዮች በዚያ ቀን ወዮላቸው፡፡ | (19) Woe on that Day to the deniers! |
| (20) ከደካማ ውሃ አልፈጠርናችሁምን? | (20) Did We not create you from a worthless fluid, |
| (21) በተጠበቀ መርጊያ ውስጥም (በማሕፀን) አደረግነው፡፡ | (21) then We placed it in a secure repository |
| (22) እስከ ታወቀ ልክ ድረስ፡፡ መጠንነውም፤ ምን ያማርንም | (22) for a determined period? |
| (23) መጠንነውም፤ ምን ያማርንም መጣኞች ነን! | (23) For We determined it; How excellently We determine! |
| (24) ለአስተባባዮች በዚያ ቀን ወዮላቸው፡፡ | (24) Woe on that Day to the deniers! |
| (25) ምድርን ሰብሳቢ አላደረግናትምን? | (25) Have We not made the earth a receptacle |
| (26) ሕያዋን ኾናችሁ ሙታንም ኾናችሁ፡፡ | (26) for the living and the dead, |
| (27) በውስጧም ከፍተኛዎችን ተራራዎች አደረግን፡፡ ጣፋጭ ውሃንም አጠጣናችሁ፡፡ | (27) and placed therein firm towering mountains, and given you fresh water to drink? |
| (28) ለአስተባባዮች በዚያ ቀን ወዮላቸው፡፡ | (28) Woe on that Day to the deniers! |
| (29) «ወደዚያ በእርሱ ታስተባብሉ ወደ ነበራችሁት (ቅጣት) አዝግሙ፡፡ | (29) [They will be told,] “Proceed to that [Fire] which you used to deny! |
| (30) «ባለ ሦስት ቅርንጫፎች ወደ ኾነው ጥላ አዝግሙ፤» (ይባላሉ)፡፡ | (30) Proceed to the shadow [of smoke] ascending in three columns, |
| (31) አጠላይ ያልኾነ ከእሳቱም ላንቃ የማያድን ወደ ኾነው (አዝግሙ)፡፡ | (31) that provides neither shade nor protection from the flames. |
| (32) እርሷ እንደ ታላላቅ ሕንጻ የኾኑን ቃንቄዎች ትወረውራለች፡፡ | (32) Indeed, it [Hell] throws up sparks as big as castles, |
| (33) (ቃንቄውም) ልክ ዳለቻዎች ግመሎችን ይመስላል፡፡ | (33) as if they were tawny camels. |
| (34) ለአስተባባዮች በዚያ ቀን ወዮላቸው፡፡ | (34) Woe on that Day to the deniers! |
| (35) ይህ የማይናገሩበት ቀን ነው፡፡ | (35) On that Day they won’t speak, |
| (36) ይቅርታም ይጠይቁ ዘንድ፤ ለእነርሱ አይፈቀድላቸውም፡፡ | (36) nor will they be allowed to make excuses. |
| (37) ለአስተባባዮች በዚያ ቀን ወዮላቸው፡፡ | (37) Woe on that Day to the deniers! |
| (38) ይህ መለያው ቀን ነው፡፡ እናንተንም የፊተኞቹንም ሰብሰብናችሁ፡፡ | (38) [They will be told,] “This is the Day of Judgment: We have gathered you along with the earlier generations. |
| (39) ለናንተም (ለማምለጥ) ብልሃት እንዳላችሁ ተተናኮሉኝ፡፡ | (39) So if you have any scheme, then plot it against Me.” |
| (40) ላስተባባዮች በዚያ ቀን ወዮላቸው፡፡ | (40) Woe on that Day to the deniers! |
| (41) ጥንቁቆቹ በጥላዎችና በምንጮች ውስጥ ናቸው፡፡ | (41) Indeed, the righteous will be amid shades and springs |
| (42) ከሚከጅሉትም ሁሉ በፍራፍሬዎች ውስጥ ናቸው፡፡ | (42) and will have whatever fruit they desire. |
| (43) «ትሠሩት በነበራችሁት ዋጋ የምትደሰቱ ኾናችሁ ብሉ፣ ጠጡም፤» (ይባላሉ)፡፡ | (43) [They will be told,] “Eat and drink joyfully, as a reward for what you used to do.” |
| (44) እኛ እንደዚሁ መልካም ሠሪዎችን ሁሉ እንመነዳለን፡፡ | (44) This is how We reward those who do good. |
| (45) ለአስተባባዮች በዚያ ቀን ወዮላቸው፡፡ | (45) Woe on that Day to the deniers! |
| (46) ብሉ፤ ጥቂትንም (ጊዜ) ተጠቀሙ፡፡ እናንተ አመጸኞች ናችሁና፡፡ | (46) “Eat and enjoy yourselves for a while; you are truly wicked.” |
| (47) ለአስተባባዮች በዚያ ቀን ወዮላቸው፡፡ | (47) Woe on that Day to the deniers! |
| (48) «ለእነርሱ ስገዱም» በተባሉ ጊዜ አይሰግዱም፡፡ | (48) When it is said to them, “Bow [in prayer]”, they do not bow. |
| (49) ለአስተባባዮች በዚያ ቀን ወዮላቸው፡፡ | (49) Woe on that Day to the deniers! |
| (50) ከእርሱም ሌላ በየትኛው ንግግር ያምናሉ? | (50) In which message after this [Qur’an] will they believe? |
