يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا أَوْفُوا بِالْعُقُودِ ۚ أُحِلَّتْ لَكُم بَهِيمَةُ الْأَنْعَامِ إِلَّا مَا يُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْكُمْ غَيْرَ مُحِلِّي الصَّيْدِ وَأَنتُمْ حُرُمٌ ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَحْكُمُ مَا يُرِيدُ  [1]

(1) እናንተ ያመናችሁ ሆይ! በቃል ኪዳኖች ሙሉ፡፡ በእናንተ ላይ የሚነበበው ብቻ ሲቀር፡፡ የግመል፣ የከብት፣ የበግና የፍየል እንስሳዎች እናንተ በሐጅ ሥራ ላይ ኾናችሁ ማደንን የተፈቀደ ሳታደረጉ ለእናንተ ተፈቀዱ፡፡ አላህ የሚሻውን ይፈርዳል፡፡

(1) O you who believe, fulfill your covenants. Lawful to you are all grazing livestock, except what is recited to you [in this Qur’an], as well as hunting while you are in the state of pilgrimage. Allah ordains what He wills.

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا تُحِلُّوا شَعَائِرَ اللَّهِ وَلَا الشَّهْرَ الْحَرَامَ وَلَا الْهَدْيَ وَلَا الْقَلَائِدَ وَلَا آمِّينَ الْبَيْتَ الْحَرَامَ يَبْتَغُونَ فَضْلًا مِّن رَّبِّهِمْ وَرِضْوَانًا ۚ وَإِذَا حَلَلْتُمْ فَاصْطَادُوا ۚ وَلَا يَجْرِمَنَّكُمْ شَنَآنُ قَوْمٍ أَن صَدُّوكُمْ عَنِ الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ أَن تَعْتَدُوا ۘ وَتَعَاوَنُوا عَلَى الْبِرِّ وَالتَّقْوَىٰ ۖ وَلَا تَعَاوَنُوا عَلَى الْإِثْمِ وَالْعُدْوَانِ ۚ وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ ۖ إِنَّ اللَّهَ شَدِيدُ الْعِقَابِ  [2]

(2) እናንተ ያመናችሁ ሆይ! የአላህ (ክልክል ያደረጋቸውን) ምልክቶች የተፈቀዱ አታድርጉ፡፡ የተከበረውንም ወር በመጋደል አትድፈሩ፡፡ ወደ መካ የሚነዱትን መስዋዕትና የሚታበቱባቸውንም ገመዶች ከጌታቸው ችሮታንና ውዴታን ፈልገው ወደ ተከበረው ቤት አሳቢዎችንም ሰዎች (አትንኩ)፡፡ ከሐጅም ሥራ በወጣችሁ ጊዜ ዐድኑ፡፡ ከተከበረው መስጊድ ስለከለከሉዋችሁ ሰዎችን መጥላትም (በነሱ ላይ) ወሰን እንድታልፉ አይገፋፋችሁ፡፡ በበጎ ነገርና አላህን በመፍራትም ተረዳዱ፡፡ ግን በኃጢአትና ወሰንን በማለፍ አትረዳዱ፡፡ አላህንም ፍሩ፡፡ አላህ ቅጣተ ብርቱ ነውና፡፡

(2) O you who believe, do not violate the sanctity of the rituals of Allah, nor of the sacred month, nor the sacrificial animals, nor the garlands, nor those [pilgrims] proceeding to the Sacred House seeking their Lord’s grace and pleasure. When your pilgrimage has ended, you may hunt. However, do not let the hatred of a people who barred you from the Sacred Mosque lead you to transgress. Cooperate with one another in goodness and righteousness, and do not cooperate in sin and transgression. And fear Allah, for Allah is severe in punishment.

حُرِّمَتْ عَلَيْكُمُ الْمَيْتَةُ وَالدَّمُ وَلَحْمُ الْخِنزِيرِ وَمَا أُهِلَّ لِغَيْرِ اللَّهِ بِهِ وَالْمُنْخَنِقَةُ وَالْمَوْقُوذَةُ وَالْمُتَرَدِّيَةُ وَالنَّطِيحَةُ وَمَا أَكَلَ السَّبُعُ إِلَّا مَا ذَكَّيْتُمْ وَمَا ذُبِحَ عَلَى النُّصُبِ وَأَن تَسْتَقْسِمُوا بِالْأَزْلَامِ ۚ ذَٰلِكُمْ فِسْقٌ ۗ الْيَوْمَ يَئِسَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِن دِينِكُمْ فَلَا تَخْشَوْهُمْ وَاخْشَوْنِ ۚ الْيَوْمَ أَكْمَلْتُ لَكُمْ دِينَكُمْ وَأَتْمَمْتُ عَلَيْكُمْ نِعْمَتِي وَرَضِيتُ لَكُمُ الْإِسْلَامَ دِينًا ۚ فَمَنِ اضْطُرَّ فِي مَخْمَصَةٍ غَيْرَ مُتَجَانِفٍ لِّإِثْمٍ ۙ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ  [3]

(3) በክት፣ ፈሳሽ ደምም፣ የእሪያ (አሣማ) ሥጋም፣ በርሱ ከአላህ (ስም) ሌላ የተነሳበትም፣ የታነቀችም፣ ተደብድባ የተገደለችም፣ ተንከባላ የሞተችም፣ በቀንድ ተውግታ የሞተችም፣ ከርሷ አውሬ የበላላትም (ከእነዚህ በሕይወት ደርሳችሁ) ያረዳችሁት ብቻ ሲቀር ለጣዖታትም የታረደው በአዝላምም ዕድልን መፈለጋችሁ በእናንተ ላይ እርም ተደረገ፡፡ ይህ ድርጊት አመጽ ነው፡፡ ዛሬ እነዚያ የካዱት ከሃይማኖታችሁ ተስፋ ቆረጡ፡፡ ስለዚህ አትፍሩዋቸው፡፡ ፍሩኝም፡፡ ዛሬ ሃይማኖታችሁን ለናንተ ሞላሁላችሁ፡፡ ጸጋዬንም በናንተ ላይ ፈጸምኩ፡፡ ለእናንተም ኢስላምን ከሃይማኖት በኩል ወደድኩ፡፡ በረኃብ ወቅት ወደ ኃጢአት ያዘነበለ ሳይሆን (እርም የኾኑትን ለመብላት) የተገደደ ሰውም (ይብላ)፡፡ አላህ መሓሪ አዛኝ ነውና፡፡

(3) Forbidden to you are carrion, blood, the flesh of swine, and that which is sacrificed to other than Allah; and that which is killed by strangling, or by a violent blow, or by a headlong fall, or by being gored; and that which is partly eaten by a predator unless you slaughter it [before it dies]; and that which is sacrificed to idols. Also it is forbidden to use arrows [of chance] to determine your decisions. This is all evil practice. Today the disbelievers have lost all hope in [eliminating] your religion, so do not fear them but fear Me. Today I have perfected your religion for you, completed My favor upon you, and have chosen Islam as your religion. But if anyone is compelled by severe hunger, not intending to sin, then Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

يَسْأَلُونَكَ مَاذَا أُحِلَّ لَهُمْ ۖ قُلْ أُحِلَّ لَكُمُ الطَّيِّبَاتُ ۙ وَمَا عَلَّمْتُم مِّنَ الْجَوَارِحِ مُكَلِّبِينَ تُعَلِّمُونَهُنَّ مِمَّا عَلَّمَكُمُ اللَّهُ ۖ فَكُلُوا مِمَّا أَمْسَكْنَ عَلَيْكُمْ وَاذْكُرُوا اسْمَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ ۖ وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ سَرِيعُ الْحِسَابِ  [4]

(4) ለእነርሱ ምን እንደተፈቀደላቸው ይጠይቁሃል፡፡ በላቸው፡- «ለእናንተ መልካሞች ሁሉና እነዚያም ከአዳኞች አሰልጣኞች ኾናችሁ ያስተማራችኋቸው (ያደኑት) ተፈቀደላችሁ፡፡ አላህ ከአስተማራችሁ ዕውቀት ታስተምሯቸዋላችሁ፡፡ ለእናንተም ከያዙላችሁ ነገር ብሉ፡፡ በርሱም ላይ የአላህን ስም አውሱ፡፡ አላህንም ፍሩ አላህ ምርመራው ፈጣን ነውና፡፡»

(4) They ask you [O Prophet] what is lawful to them. Say, “All good things are lawful for you, and that which is caught by your trained hunting animals and birds of prey, training them as Allah has taught you. Eat what they catch for you, but mention the name of Allah upon it.” And fear Allah, for Allah is swift in reckoning.

الْيَوْمَ أُحِلَّ لَكُمُ الطَّيِّبَاتُ ۖ وَطَعَامُ الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ حِلٌّ لَّكُمْ وَطَعَامُكُمْ حِلٌّ لَّهُمْ ۖ وَالْمُحْصَنَاتُ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنَاتِ وَالْمُحْصَنَاتُ مِنَ الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ إِذَا آتَيْتُمُوهُنَّ أُجُورَهُنَّ مُحْصِنِينَ غَيْرَ مُسَافِحِينَ وَلَا مُتَّخِذِي أَخْدَانٍ ۗ وَمَن يَكْفُرْ بِالْإِيمَانِ فَقَدْ حَبِطَ عَمَلُهُ وَهُوَ فِي الْآخِرَةِ مِنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ  [5]

(5) ዛሬ መልካሞች ሁሉ ለናንተ ተፈቀዱ፡፡ የእነዚያም መጽሐፍን የተሰጡት ሰዎች ምግብ (ያረዱት) ለእናንተ የተፈቀደ ነው፡፡ ምግባችሁም ለነሱ የተፈቀደ ነው፡፡ ከምእመናት ጥብቆቹም ከእነዚያ ከእናንተ በፊት መጽሐፍን ከተሰጡት ሴቶች ጥብቆቹም፤ ዘማዊዎችና (ዝሙተኞች) የምስጢር ወዳጅ ያዢዎች ሳትኾኑ ጥብቆች ኾናችሁ መህሮቻቸውን በሰጣችኋቸው ጊዜ (ልታገቡዋቸው የተፈቀዱ ናቸው)፡፡ ከእምነትም የሚመለስ ሰው በእርግጥ ሥራው ተበላሸ፡፡ በመጨረሻም ቀን እርሱ ከከሳሪዎቹ ነው፡፡

(5) Today all good things have been made lawful to you. As the food of the people of the Book is lawful to you, and your food is lawful to them. And [it is lawful to marry] chaste believing women and chaste women from among those who were given the Book before you, provided that you give them their dowries in honest wedlock, neither fornicating nor taking them as secret lovers. Whoever rejects the faith, all his efforts will be worthless and in the Hereafter he will be among the losers.

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِذَا قُمْتُمْ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ فَاغْسِلُوا وُجُوهَكُمْ وَأَيْدِيَكُمْ إِلَى الْمَرَافِقِ وَامْسَحُوا بِرُءُوسِكُمْ وَأَرْجُلَكُمْ إِلَى الْكَعْبَيْنِ ۚ وَإِن كُنتُمْ جُنُبًا فَاطَّهَّرُوا ۚ وَإِن كُنتُم مَّرْضَىٰ أَوْ عَلَىٰ سَفَرٍ أَوْ جَاءَ أَحَدٌ مِّنكُم مِّنَ الْغَائِطِ أَوْ لَامَسْتُمُ النِّسَاءَ فَلَمْ تَجِدُوا مَاءً فَتَيَمَّمُوا صَعِيدًا طَيِّبًا فَامْسَحُوا بِوُجُوهِكُمْ وَأَيْدِيكُم مِّنْهُ ۚ مَا يُرِيدُ اللَّهُ لِيَجْعَلَ عَلَيْكُم مِّنْ حَرَجٍ وَلَٰكِن يُرِيدُ لِيُطَهِّرَكُمْ وَلِيُتِمَّ نِعْمَتَهُ عَلَيْكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ  [6]

(6) እናንተ ያመናችሁ ሆይ! ወደ ሶላት በቆማችሁ (ለመቆም ባሰባችሁ) ጊዜ ፊቶቻችሁን፣ እጆቻችሁንም እስከ ክርኖች እጠቡ፡፡ ራሶቻችሁንም (በውሃ) አብሱ፡፡ እግሮቻችሁንም እስከ ቁርጭምጭሚቶች (እጠቡ)፡፡ (ሴት ጋር በመገናኘት ወይም በሌላ ምክንያት «ጀናባ») ብትኾኑ (ገላችሁን) ታጠቡ፡፡ በሽተኞች ወይም በጉዞ ላይ ብትኾኑም ወይም ከእናንተ አንዳችሁ ከዓይነ ምድር ቢመጣ ወይም ሴቶችን ብትነካኩና ውሃን ባታገኙ ንጹሕን የምድር ገጽ አስቡ ፡፡ ከሱም ፊቶቻችሁንና እጆቻችሁን አብሱ፡፡ አላህ በእናንተ ላይ ምንም ችግር ሊያደርግ አይሻም፡፡ ግን ታመሰግኑ ዘንድ ሊያጠራችሁና ጸጋውን በእናንተ ላይ ሊሞላ ይሻል፡፡

(6) O you who believe, when you rise up for prayer, wash your faces, and your hands up to the elbows; wipe over your heads; and wash your feet up to the ankles. If you are in a state of major impurity, cleanse yourselves [by taking a bath]. But if you are ill, on a journey, or have relieved yourselves, or had sexual contact with women and find no water, then purify yourselves with clean earth, and wipe your faces and hands therewith. Allah does not want to impose hardship on you, rather He wants to purify you and complete His favor upon you, so that you may be grateful.

وَاذْكُرُوا نِعْمَةَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ وَمِيثَاقَهُ الَّذِي وَاثَقَكُم بِهِ إِذْ قُلْتُمْ سَمِعْنَا وَأَطَعْنَا ۖ وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلِيمٌ بِذَاتِ الصُّدُورِ  [7]

(7) በእናንተም ላይ (የለገሰውን) የአላህን ጸጋ ያንንም ሰምተናል ታዘናልም ባላችሁ ጊዜ በርሱ ያጠበቀባችሁን ቃል ኪዳኑን አስታውሱ፡፡ አላህንም ፍሩ፡፡ አላህ በደረቶች ውስጥ ያለውን ሁሉ ዐዋቂ ነውና፡፡

(7) Remember Allah’s favor upon you, and His covenant that He made with you when you said, “We hear and obey.” And fear Allah, for Allah is All-Knowing of what is in the hearts.

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا كُونُوا قَوَّامِينَ لِلَّهِ شُهَدَاءَ بِالْقِسْطِ ۖ وَلَا يَجْرِمَنَّكُمْ شَنَآنُ قَوْمٍ عَلَىٰ أَلَّا تَعْدِلُوا ۚ اعْدِلُوا هُوَ أَقْرَبُ لِلتَّقْوَىٰ ۖ وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ خَبِيرٌ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ  [8]

(8) እናንተ ያመናችሁ ሆይ! ለአላህ ቀጥተኞች በትክክል መስካሪዎች ኹኑ፡፡ ሕዝቦችንም መጥላት ባለማስተካከል ላይ አይገፋፋችሁ፡፡ አስተካክሉ፡፡ እርሱ (ማስተካከል) ለአላህ ፍራቻ በጣም የቀረበ ነው፡፡ አላህንም ፍሩ፡፡ አላህ በምትሠሩት ሁሉ ውስጠ ዐዋቂ ነው፡፡

(8) O you who believe, stand firm for Allah by bearing true testimony, and do not let the hatred of a people lead you away from justice. Be just; that is closer to righteousness. And fear Allah, for Allah is All-Aware of what you do.

وَعَدَ اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ ۙ لَهُم مَّغْفِرَةٌ وَأَجْرٌ عَظِيمٌ  [9]

(9) እነዚያንም ያመኑትንና በጎ ሥራዎችን የሠሩትን አላህ (ገነትን) ተስፋ አደረገላቸው፡፡ ለእነርሱ ምሕረትና ታላቅ ምንዳ አላቸው፡፡

(9) Allah has promised those who believe and do righteous deeds that they will have forgiveness and a great reward.

وَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا وَكَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِنَا أُولَٰئِكَ أَصْحَابُ الْجَحِيمِ  [10]

(10) እነዚያም የካዱና በተአምራቶቻችን ያስተባበሉ እነዚያ የእሳት ጓዶች ናቸው፡፡

(10) But those who disbelieve and reject Our verses, they are the people of the Blazing Fire.

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اذْكُرُوا نِعْمَتَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ إِذْ هَمَّ قَوْمٌ أَن يَبْسُطُوا إِلَيْكُمْ أَيْدِيَهُمْ فَكَفَّ أَيْدِيَهُمْ عَنكُمْ ۖ وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ ۚ وَعَلَى اللَّهِ فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ  [11]

(11) እናንተ ያመናችሁ ሆይ! ሕዝቦች እጆቻቸውን ወደ እናንተ ሊዘረጉ ባሰቡና እጆቻቸውን ከእናንተ ላይ በከለከላችሁ ጊዜ በናንተ ላይ (የዋለላችሁን) የአላህን ጸጋ አስታውሱ፡፡ አላህንም ፍሩ፡፡ ምእመናንም በአላህ ላይ ይመኩ፡፡

(11) O you who believe, remember Allah’s favor upon you when some people planned to stretch their hands against you, but He held their hands back from you. And fear Allah, and in Allah let the believers put their trust.

وَلَقَدْ أَخَذَ اللَّهُ مِيثَاقَ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ وَبَعَثْنَا مِنْهُمُ اثْنَيْ عَشَرَ نَقِيبًا ۖ وَقَالَ اللَّهُ إِنِّي مَعَكُمْ ۖ لَئِنْ أَقَمْتُمُ الصَّلَاةَ وَآتَيْتُمُ الزَّكَاةَ وَآمَنتُم بِرُسُلِي وَعَزَّرْتُمُوهُمْ وَأَقْرَضْتُمُ اللَّهَ قَرْضًا حَسَنًا لَّأُكَفِّرَنَّ عَنكُمْ سَيِّئَاتِكُمْ وَلَأُدْخِلَنَّكُمْ جَنَّاتٍ تَجْرِي مِن تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ ۚ فَمَن كَفَرَ بَعْدَ ذَٰلِكَ مِنكُمْ فَقَدْ ضَلَّ سَوَاءَ السَّبِيلِ  [12]

(12) አላህም የእስራኤልን ልጆች የጠበቀ ቃል ኪዳን በእርግጥ ያዘባቸው፡፡ ከነርሱም ዐስራ ሁለትን አለቆች አስነሳን፡፡ አላህም አላቸው፤ «እኔ ከናንተ ጋር ነኝ፤ ሶላትን ብታስተካክሉ ግዴታ ምጽዋትንም ብትሰጡ በመልክተኞቼም ብታምኑ ብትረዱዋቸውም ለአላህም መልካም ብድርን ብታበድሩ ኀጢአቶቻችሁን ከናንተ በእርግጥ አብሳለሁ፡፡ ከሥሮቻቸው ወንዞች የሚፈሱባቸውን ገነቶችም በእርግጥ አገባችኋለሁ፡፡ ከዚህም በኋላ ከእናንተ የካደ ሰው ቀጥተኛውን መንገድ በእርግጥ ተሳሳተ፡፡»

(12) Allah took a covenant from the Children of Israel and appointed twelve chiefs from among them. Allah said, “I am with you. If you establish prayer, give zakah, believe in My messengers and support them, and give Allah a goodly loan, I will surely forgive your sins and admit you into gardens under which rivers flow. But whoever of you disbelieves after this has truly strayed from the straight path.”

فَبِمَا نَقْضِهِم مِّيثَاقَهُمْ لَعَنَّاهُمْ وَجَعَلْنَا قُلُوبَهُمْ قَاسِيَةً ۖ يُحَرِّفُونَ الْكَلِمَ عَن مَّوَاضِعِهِ ۙ وَنَسُوا حَظًّا مِّمَّا ذُكِّرُوا بِهِ ۚ وَلَا تَزَالُ تَطَّلِعُ عَلَىٰ خَائِنَةٍ مِّنْهُمْ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا مِّنْهُمْ ۖ فَاعْفُ عَنْهُمْ وَاصْفَحْ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ الْمُحْسِنِينَ  [13]

(13) ቃል ኪዳናቸውንም በማፍረሳቸው ረገምናቸው፡፡ ልቦቻቸውንም ደረቆች አደረግን፡፡ ቃላትን ከቦታዎቻቸው ይለውጣሉ፡፡ በርሱም ከታዘዙበት ነገር ፈንታን ተው፡፡ ከእነሱም ጥቂቶች ሲቀሩ ከነርሱ የኾነን ክዳት የምታውቅባቸው ከመኾን አትወገድም፡፡ ከእነርሱም ይቅርታ አድርግ እለፋቸውም፡፡ አላህ መልካም ሠሪዎችን ይወዳልና፡፡

(13) As a result of their breaking of the covenant We cursed them and made their hearts grow hard. They distort words [of the Scripture] from their context, and forgot parts of what was enjoined upon them. You will not cease to discover betrayal on their part except for a few. So pardon them and overlook, for Allah loves those who do good.

وَمِنَ الَّذِينَ قَالُوا إِنَّا نَصَارَىٰ أَخَذْنَا مِيثَاقَهُمْ فَنَسُوا حَظًّا مِّمَّا ذُكِّرُوا بِهِ فَأَغْرَيْنَا بَيْنَهُمُ الْعَدَاوَةَ وَالْبَغْضَاءَ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ ۚ وَسَوْفَ يُنَبِّئُهُمُ اللَّهُ بِمَا كَانُوا يَصْنَعُونَ  [14]

(14) ከእነዚያም እኛ ክርስቲያኖች ነን ካሉት የጠበቀ ቃል ኪዳናቸውን ያዝን፡፡ በእርሱም ከታዘዙበት ነገር ፈንታን ተውት፡፡ ስለዚህ እስከ ትንሣኤ ቀን ድረስ በመካከላቸው ጠብንና ጥላቻን ጣልንባቸው፡፡ አላህም ይሠሩት የነበሩትን ሁሉ በእርግጥ ይነግራቸዋል፡፡

(14) And from among those who say, “We are Christians,” We took a covenant from them, but they forgot a part of what was enjoined upon them. So We induced hostility and hatred among them until the Day of Resurrection, and Allah will inform them of what they used to do.

يَا أَهْلَ الْكِتَابِ قَدْ جَاءَكُمْ رَسُولُنَا يُبَيِّنُ لَكُمْ كَثِيرًا مِّمَّا كُنتُمْ تُخْفُونَ مِنَ الْكِتَابِ وَيَعْفُو عَن كَثِيرٍ ۚ قَدْ جَاءَكُم مِّنَ اللَّهِ نُورٌ وَكِتَابٌ مُّبِينٌ  [15]

(15) የመጽሐፉ ባለቤቶች ሆይ! ከመጽሐፉ ትሸሽጉት ከነበራችሁት ነገር ብዙውን ለእናንተ የሚገልጽ ከብዙውም የሚተው ሲኾን መልክተኛችን (ሙሐመድ) በእርግጥ መጣላችሁ፡፡ ከአላህ ዘንድ ብርሃንና ገላጭ መጽሐፍ በእርግጥ መጣላችሁ፡፡

(15) O People of the Book, there has come to you Our Messenger, revealing to you much of what you have been concealing of the Scripture, and overlooking much. There has surely come to you from Allah a light and a clear Book,

يَهْدِي بِهِ اللَّهُ مَنِ اتَّبَعَ رِضْوَانَهُ سُبُلَ السَّلَامِ وَيُخْرِجُهُم مِّنَ الظُّلُمَاتِ إِلَى النُّورِ بِإِذْنِهِ وَيَهْدِيهِمْ إِلَىٰ صِرَاطٍ مُّسْتَقِيمٍ  [16]

(16) አላህ ውዴታውን የተከተሉትን ሰዎች የሰላምን መንገዶች በእርሱ ይመራቸዋል፡፡ በፈቃዱም ከጨለማዎች ወደ ብርሃን ያወጣቸዋል፡፡ ወደ ቀጥተኛም መንገድ ይመራቸዋል፡፡

(16) through which Allah guides those who seek His pleasure to the ways of peace, and brings them out of the depths of darkness to the light by His Will, and guides them to a straight path.

لَّقَدْ كَفَرَ الَّذِينَ قَالُوا إِنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ الْمَسِيحُ ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ ۚ قُلْ فَمَن يَمْلِكُ مِنَ اللَّهِ شَيْئًا إِنْ أَرَادَ أَن يُهْلِكَ الْمَسِيحَ ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ وَأُمَّهُ وَمَن فِي الْأَرْضِ جَمِيعًا ۗ وَلِلَّهِ مُلْكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا ۚ يَخْلُقُ مَا يَشَاءُ ۚ وَاللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ  [17]

(17) እነዚያ አላህ እርሱ የመርየም ልጅ አልመሲሕ ነው ያሉ በእርግጥ ካዱ፡፡ የመርየምን ልጅ አልመሲሕን እናቱንም በምድር ያለንም ሁሉ ለማጥፋት ቢሻ ከአላህ ማዳንን የሚችል ማነው በላቸው፡፡ የሰማያትና የምድር የመካከላቸውም ንግሥና የአላህ ብቻ ነው፡፡ የሚሻውን ይፈጥራል፡፡ አላህም በነገሩ ሁሉ ላይ ቻይ ነው፡፡

(17) Those who say, “Allah is the Messiah, son of Mary,” have certainly disbelieved. Say, “Who has the power to prevent Allah, if He chose to destroy the Messiah, son of Mary, his mother, and all those who are on earth?” To Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and earth and everything between them. He creates what He wills, and Allah is Most Capable of all things.

وَقَالَتِ الْيَهُودُ وَالنَّصَارَىٰ نَحْنُ أَبْنَاءُ اللَّهِ وَأَحِبَّاؤُهُ ۚ قُلْ فَلِمَ يُعَذِّبُكُم بِذُنُوبِكُم ۖ بَلْ أَنتُم بَشَرٌ مِّمَّنْ خَلَقَ ۚ يَغْفِرُ لِمَن يَشَاءُ وَيُعَذِّبُ مَن يَشَاءُ ۚ وَلِلَّهِ مُلْكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا ۖ وَإِلَيْهِ الْمَصِيرُ  [18]

(18) አይሁዶችና ክርስቲያኖችም «እኛ የአላህ ልጆችና ወዳጆቹ ነን» አሉ፡፡ «ታዲያ በኃጢአቶቻችሁ ለምን ያሰቃያችኋል አይደላችሁም እናንተ ከፈጠራቸው ሰዎች ናችሁ» በላቸው፡፡ ለሚሻው ሰው ይምራል፡፡ የሚሻውንም ሰው ይቀጣል፡፡ የሰማያትና የምድርም በመካከላቸውም ያለው ሁሉ ንግሥና የአላህ ብቻ ነው፡፡ መመለሻም ወደርሱ ብቻ ነው፡፡

(18) The Jews and Christians say, “We are Allah’s children and His beloved ones.” Say, “Why then does He punish you for your sins? Rather, you are humans just like anyone else He created. He forgives whom He wills and punishes whom He wills.” To Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and earth and all that is between them, and to Him is the final return.”

يَا أَهْلَ الْكِتَابِ قَدْ جَاءَكُمْ رَسُولُنَا يُبَيِّنُ لَكُمْ عَلَىٰ فَتْرَةٍ مِّنَ الرُّسُلِ أَن تَقُولُوا مَا جَاءَنَا مِن بَشِيرٍ وَلَا نَذِيرٍ ۖ فَقَدْ جَاءَكُم بَشِيرٌ وَنَذِيرٌ ۗ وَاللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ  [19]

(19) እናንተ የመጽሐፉ ሰዎች ሆይ! «አብሳሪና አስፈራሪ አልመጣልንም» እንዳትሉ ከመልክተኞች በመቋረጥ ጊዜ ላይ ሲኾን (ሕጋችንን) የሚያብራራ ኾኖ መልክተኛችን በእርግጥ መጣላችሁ፡፡ አብሳሪና አስፈራሪም በእርግጥ መጣላችሁ፡፡ አላህም በነገሩ ሁሉ ላይ ቻይ ነው፡፡

(19) O People of the Book, there has come to you Our Messenger, making things clear to you, after an interval between the messengers, so you do not say, “No bearer of glad tidings or a warner has ever come to us.” Now there has come to you a bearer of glad tidings and a warner. And Allah is Most Capable of all things.

وَإِذْ قَالَ مُوسَىٰ لِقَوْمِهِ يَا قَوْمِ اذْكُرُوا نِعْمَةَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ إِذْ جَعَلَ فِيكُمْ أَنبِيَاءَ وَجَعَلَكُم مُّلُوكًا وَآتَاكُم مَّا لَمْ يُؤْتِ أَحَدًا مِّنَ الْعَالَمِينَ  [20]

(20) ሙሳም ለሕዝቦቹ ባለ ጊዜ (አስታውስ)፡- «ሕዝቦቼ ሆይ የአላህን ጸጋ በውስጣችሁ ነቢያትን ባደረገና ነገሥታትንም ባደረጋችሁ ከዓለማትም ለአንድም ያልሰጠውን ችሮታ በሰጣችሁ ጊዜ በእናንተ ላይ (ያደረገውን ጸጋ) አስታውሱ፡፡»

(20) And [remember] when Moses said to his people, “O my people, remember the favor of Allah upon you when He appointed prophets from among you, made you sovereign, and gave you what He had not given any other people in the world.

يَا قَوْمِ ادْخُلُوا الْأَرْضَ الْمُقَدَّسَةَ الَّتِي كَتَبَ اللَّهُ لَكُمْ وَلَا تَرْتَدُّوا عَلَىٰ أَدْبَارِكُمْ فَتَنقَلِبُوا خَاسِرِينَ  [21]

(21) «ሕዝቦቼ ሆይ! ያችን አላህ ለእናንተ ያደረጋትን የተቀደሰችውን መሬት ግቡ፡፡ ወደ ኋላችሁም አትመለሱ፡፡ ከሳሪዎች ኾናችሁ ትመለሳላችሁና፡፡»

(21) O my people, enter the Holy Land which Allah has ordained for you, and do not turn back or else you will return as losers.”

قَالُوا يَا مُوسَىٰ إِنَّ فِيهَا قَوْمًا جَبَّارِينَ وَإِنَّا لَن نَّدْخُلَهَا حَتَّىٰ يَخْرُجُوا مِنْهَا فَإِن يَخْرُجُوا مِنْهَا فَإِنَّا دَاخِلُونَ  [22]

(22) «ሙሳ ሆይ! በርስዋ ውስጥ ኀያላን ሕዝቦች አሉ፡፡ ከርስዋም እስከሚወጡ ድረስ እኛ ፈጽሞ አንገባትም፡፡ ከርስዋም ቢወጡ እኛ ገቢዎች ነን» አሉ፡፡

(22) They said, “O Moses, there is an extremely mighty people in this land; we will never enter it until they leave it. Then if they leave, only then we will enter.”

قَالَ رَجُلَانِ مِنَ الَّذِينَ يَخَافُونَ أَنْعَمَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِمَا ادْخُلُوا عَلَيْهِمُ الْبَابَ فَإِذَا دَخَلْتُمُوهُ فَإِنَّكُمْ غَالِبُونَ ۚ وَعَلَى اللَّهِ فَتَوَكَّلُوا إِن كُنتُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ  [23]

(23) ከእነዚያ (አላህን) ከሚፈሩትና አላህ በእነርሱ ላይ ከለገሰላቸው የኾኑ ሁለት ሰዎች «በእነርሱ (በኀያሎቹ) ላይ በሩን ግቡ፡፡ በገባችሁትም ጊዜ እናንተ አሸናፊዎች ናችሁ፡፡ ምእመናንም እንደኾናችሁ በአላህ ላይ ተመኩ» አሉ፡፡

(23) Two men who feared Allah, and who had been favored by Allah said, “Enter upon them through the gate! Once you enter it, you will surely be victorious. And put your trust in Allah if you are believers.”

قَالُوا يَا مُوسَىٰ إِنَّا لَن نَّدْخُلَهَا أَبَدًا مَّا دَامُوا فِيهَا ۖ فَاذْهَبْ أَنتَ وَرَبُّكَ فَقَاتِلَا إِنَّا هَاهُنَا قَاعِدُونَ  [24]

(24) «ሙሳ ሆይ! በውስጧ እስካሉ ድረስ እኛ ፈጽሞ ምን ጊዜም አንገባትም፡፡ ስለዚህ ኺድ አንተና ጌታህ ተጋደሉም እኛ እዚህ ተቀማጮች ነን» አሉ፡፡

(24) They said, “O Moses, we will never enter it as long as they are there. Go, you and your Lord, and fight; we are staying right here!”

قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّي لَا أَمْلِكُ إِلَّا نَفْسِي وَأَخِي ۖ فَافْرُقْ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَ الْقَوْمِ الْفَاسِقِينَ  [25]

(25) «ጌታዬ ሆይ እኔ ራሴንና ወንድሜን በቀር (ላስገድድ) አልችልም፡፡ በእኛና በአመጸኞቹም ሕዝቦች መካከል ለይ» አለ፡፡

(25) He said, “O my Lord, I have no control over anyone except myself and my brother, so separate us from these rebellious people.”

قَالَ فَإِنَّهَا مُحَرَّمَةٌ عَلَيْهِمْ ۛ أَرْبَعِينَ سَنَةً ۛ يَتِيهُونَ فِي الْأَرْضِ ۚ فَلَا تَأْسَ عَلَى الْقَوْمِ الْفَاسِقِينَ  [26]

(26) እርስዋም (የተቀደሰችው መሬት) በእነርሱ ላይ አርባ ዓመት እርም ናት፡፡ በምድረ በዳ ይንከራተታሉ፡፡ «በአመጸኞችም ሕዝቦች ላይ አትዘን» አለው፡፡

(26) [Allah] said, “Then this land will be forbidden to them for forty years, while they will be straying through the land. Therefore, do not grieve over the rebellious people.”

وَاتْلُ عَلَيْهِمْ نَبَأَ ابْنَيْ آدَمَ بِالْحَقِّ إِذْ قَرَّبَا قُرْبَانًا فَتُقُبِّلَ مِنْ أَحَدِهِمَا وَلَمْ يُتَقَبَّلْ مِنَ الْآخَرِ قَالَ لَأَقْتُلَنَّكَ ۖ قَالَ إِنَّمَا يَتَقَبَّلُ اللَّهُ مِنَ الْمُتَّقِينَ  [27]

(27) በነርሱም ላይ የአደምን ሁለት ልጆች ወሬ ቁርባንን ባቀረቡና (አላህ) ከአንደኛቸው ተቀብሎ ከሌላው ባልተቀበለ ጊዜ (የኾነውን) በእውነት አንብብላቸው፡፡ «በእርግጥ እገድልሃለሁ» አለው፡፡ (ተገዳዩ) «አላህ የሚቀበለው እኮ ከጥንቁቆቹ ብቻ ነው» አለ፡፡

(27) Relate to them the story of the two sons of Adam in truth, when both offered a sacrifice; it was accepted from one [Abel] but not accepted from the other [Cain]. The latter said, “I will kill you.” The former said, “Allah only accepts from those who fear Him.

لَئِن بَسَطتَ إِلَيَّ يَدَكَ لِتَقْتُلَنِي مَا أَنَا بِبَاسِطٍ يَدِيَ إِلَيْكَ لِأَقْتُلَكَ ۖ إِنِّي أَخَافُ اللَّهَ رَبَّ الْعَالَمِينَ  [28]

(28) «ልትገድለኝ እጅህን ወደኔ ብትዘረጋ እኔ ልገድልህ እጄን ወዳንተ የምዘረጋ አይደለሁም፡፡ እኔ የዓለማትን ጌታ አላህን እፈራለሁና» አለ፡፡

(28) Even if you stretch your hand forward to kill me, I will not stretch my hand forward to kill you, for I fear Allah, the Lord of the worlds.

إِنِّي أُرِيدُ أَن تَبُوءَ بِإِثْمِي وَإِثْمِكَ فَتَكُونَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّارِ ۚ وَذَٰلِكَ جَزَاءُ الظَّالِمِينَ  [29]

(29) «እኔ በኃጢአቴና በኃጢአትህ ልትመለስና ከእሳት ጓዶች ልትኾን እሻለሁ፤ ይኽም የበደለኞች ቅጣት ነው» (አለ)፡፡

(29) I would rather let you bear your sin against me and your own sin, and thus you will be one of the people of the Fire; such is the recompense of the wrongdoers.”

فَطَوَّعَتْ لَهُ نَفْسُهُ قَتْلَ أَخِيهِ فَقَتَلَهُ فَأَصْبَحَ مِنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ  [30]

(30) ነፍሱም ወንድሙን መግደልን ለርሱ ሸለመችለት፤(አነሳሳችው፤)፡፡ ገደለውም፡፡ ከከሳሪዎቹም ኾነ፡፡

(30) But the former justified to himself the killing of his brother and killed him, and thus became one of the losers.

فَبَعَثَ اللَّهُ غُرَابًا يَبْحَثُ فِي الْأَرْضِ لِيُرِيَهُ كَيْفَ يُوَارِي سَوْءَةَ أَخِيهِ ۚ قَالَ يَا وَيْلَتَا أَعَجَزْتُ أَنْ أَكُونَ مِثْلَ هَٰذَا الْغُرَابِ فَأُوَارِيَ سَوْءَةَ أَخِي ۖ فَأَصْبَحَ مِنَ النَّادِمِينَ  [31]

(31) የወንድሙንም ሬሳ እንዴት እንደሚሸሽግ ያሳየው ዘንድ አላህ መሬትን የሚጭር ቁራን ላከለት፡፡ «ወይ እኔ የወንድሜን ሬሳ እሸሽግ ዘንድ እንደዚህ ቁራ ብጤ መኾን አቃተኝን» አለ፡፡ ከጸጸተኞችም ኾነ፡፡

(31) Then Allah sent a crow scratching the ground to show him how to bury the corpse of his brother. He said, “Woe to me! Have I failed even to be like this crow to bury the corpse of my brother?” And he became one of the remorseful.

مِنْ أَجْلِ ذَٰلِكَ كَتَبْنَا عَلَىٰ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ أَنَّهُ مَن قَتَلَ نَفْسًا بِغَيْرِ نَفْسٍ أَوْ فَسَادٍ فِي الْأَرْضِ فَكَأَنَّمَا قَتَلَ النَّاسَ جَمِيعًا وَمَنْ أَحْيَاهَا فَكَأَنَّمَا أَحْيَا النَّاسَ جَمِيعًا ۚ وَلَقَدْ جَاءَتْهُمْ رُسُلُنَا بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ ثُمَّ إِنَّ كَثِيرًا مِّنْهُم بَعْدَ ذَٰلِكَ فِي الْأَرْضِ لَمُسْرِفُونَ  [32]

(32) በዚህ ምክንያት በእስራኤል ልጆች ላይ እነሆ ያለ ነፍስ (መግደል) ወይም በምድር ላይ ያለማጥፋት (ካልሆነ በስተቀር) ነፍስን የገደለ ሰው ሰዎቹን ሁሉ እንደገደለ ነው፤ ሕያው ያደረጋትም ሰው ሰዎቹን ሁሉ ሕያው እንዳደረገ ነው ማለትን ጻፍን፡፡ መልክተኞቻችንም በግልጽ ተዓምራት በእርግጥ መጡዋቸው፡፡ ከዚያም ከዚህ በኋላ ከእነሱ ብዙዎቹ በምድር ላይ ወሰንን አላፊዎች ናቸው፡፡

(32) For this reason We ordained for the Children of Israel that whoever kills a person – unless in retribution for murder or corruption in the land – it is as if he killed all mankind; and whoever saves a life, it is as if he saved the life of all mankind. Our messengers came to them with clear signs, yet many of them continued to exceed the limits afterwards in the land.

إِنَّمَا جَزَاءُ الَّذِينَ يُحَارِبُونَ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ وَيَسْعَوْنَ فِي الْأَرْضِ فَسَادًا أَن يُقَتَّلُوا أَوْ يُصَلَّبُوا أَوْ تُقَطَّعَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَأَرْجُلُهُم مِّنْ خِلَافٍ أَوْ يُنفَوْا مِنَ الْأَرْضِ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ لَهُمْ خِزْيٌ فِي الدُّنْيَا ۖ وَلَهُمْ فِي الْآخِرَةِ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ  [33]

(33) የእነዚያ አላህንና መልክተኛውን የሚዋጉ በምድርም ላይ ለማጥፋት የሚተጉ ሰዎች ቅጣት መገደል ወይም መሰቀል ወይም እጆቻቸውንና እግሮቻቸውን በማፈራረቅ መቆረጥ ወይም ከአገር መባረር ነው፡፡ ይህ በነሱ በቅርቢቱ ዓለም ውርደት ነው፡፡ በመጨረሻይቱም ለእነርሱ ከባድ ቅጣት አላቸው፡፡

(33) The penalty for those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger, and spread corruption in the land, is that they should be executed, or crucified, or their hands and feet amputated on opposite sides, or banished from the land. This is a disgrace for them in this world, and for them in the Hereafter, there will be a great punishment.

إِلَّا الَّذِينَ تَابُوا مِن قَبْلِ أَن تَقْدِرُوا عَلَيْهِمْ ۖ فَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّ اللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ  [34]

(34) እነዚያ በእነርሱ ላይ ከመቻላችሁ (ከመወሰናችሁ) በፊት የተጸጸቱ ሲቀሩ፡፡ አላህም መሓሪ አዛኝ መኾኑን እወቁ፡፡

(34) Except those who repent before you seize them; in that case, know that Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَابْتَغُوا إِلَيْهِ الْوَسِيلَةَ وَجَاهِدُوا فِي سَبِيلِهِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ  [35]

(35) እናንተ ያመናችሁ ሆይ! አላህን ፍሩ፡፡ ወደርሱም መቃረቢያን (መልካም ሥራን) ፈልጉ፡፡ ትድኑ ዘንድም በእርሱ መንገድ ታገሉ፡፡

(35) O you who believe, fear Allah and seek the means of nearness to Him, and struggle in His way, so that you may succeed.

إِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لَوْ أَنَّ لَهُم مَّا فِي الْأَرْضِ جَمِيعًا وَمِثْلَهُ مَعَهُ لِيَفْتَدُوا بِهِ مِنْ عَذَابِ يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ مَا تُقُبِّلَ مِنْهُمْ ۖ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ  [36]

(36) እነዚያ የካዱት ሰዎች በምድር ላይ ያለው ሁሉ ከእርሱም ጋር ብጤው ከትንሣኤ ቀን ቅጣት በእርሱ ሊበዡበት ለእነርሱ በኖራቸው ኖሮ ከእነሱ ተቀባይን ባላገኙ ነበር፡፡ ለእነሱም አሳማሚ ቅጣት አላቸው፡፡

(36) As for those who disbelieved, even if they were to possess everything on earth and the like of it to ransom themselves from the punishment of the Day of Resurrection, it would not be accepted from them, and for them there will be a painful punishment.

يُرِيدُونَ أَن يَخْرُجُوا مِنَ النَّارِ وَمَا هُم بِخَارِجِينَ مِنْهَا ۖ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ مُّقِيمٌ  [37]

(37) ከእሳት ሊወጡ ይፈልጋሉ፡፡ እነርሱም ከርስዋ ወጪዎች አይደሉም፡፡ ለእነርሱም ዘውታሪ ቅጣት አላቸው፡፡

(37) They will wish to get out of the Fire, but they will never get out of it, and for them there will be an everlasting punishment.

وَالسَّارِقُ وَالسَّارِقَةُ فَاقْطَعُوا أَيْدِيَهُمَا جَزَاءً بِمَا كَسَبَا نَكَالًا مِّنَ اللَّهِ ۗ وَاللَّهُ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمٌ  [38]

(38) ሰራቂውንና ሰራቂይቱንም በሠሩት ነገር ለቅጣት ከአላህ የኾነን መቀጣጫ እጆቻቸውን ቁረጡ፡፡ አላህም አሸናፊ ጥበበኛ ነው፡፡

(38) As for the thief, male or female, amputate their hands as a deterrent punishment from Allah for what they have done. Allah is All-Mighty, All-Wise.

فَمَن تَابَ مِن بَعْدِ ظُلْمِهِ وَأَصْلَحَ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ يَتُوبُ عَلَيْهِ ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ  [39]

(39) ከበደሉም በኋላ የተጸጸተና ሥራውን ያሳመረ አላህ ጸጸቱን ከእርሱ ይቀበለዋል፡፡ አላህ መሓሪ አዛኝ ነውና፡፡

(39) But whoever repents after having committed wrong and mends his way, Allah will accept his repentance, for Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

أَلَمْ تَعْلَمْ أَنَّ اللَّهَ لَهُ مُلْكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ يُعَذِّبُ مَن يَشَاءُ وَيَغْفِرُ لِمَن يَشَاءُ ۗ وَاللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ  [40]

(40) የሰማያትና የምድር ንግሥና የሱ (የአላህ) ብቻ መኾኑን አላወቅክምን የሚሻውን ሰው ይቀጣል፡፡ ለሚሻውም ሰው ይምራል፡፡ አላህም በነገሩ ሁሉ ላይ ቻይ ነው፡፡

(40) Do you not know that the dominion of the heavens and earth belongs to Allah? He punishes whom He wills and forgives whom He wills, and Allah is Most Capable of all things.

يَا أَيُّهَا الرَّسُولُ لَا يَحْزُنكَ الَّذِينَ يُسَارِعُونَ فِي الْكُفْرِ مِنَ الَّذِينَ قَالُوا آمَنَّا بِأَفْوَاهِهِمْ وَلَمْ تُؤْمِن قُلُوبُهُمْ ۛ وَمِنَ الَّذِينَ هَادُوا ۛ سَمَّاعُونَ لِلْكَذِبِ سَمَّاعُونَ لِقَوْمٍ آخَرِينَ لَمْ يَأْتُوكَ ۖ يُحَرِّفُونَ الْكَلِمَ مِن بَعْدِ مَوَاضِعِهِ ۖ يَقُولُونَ إِنْ أُوتِيتُمْ هَٰذَا فَخُذُوهُ وَإِن لَّمْ تُؤْتَوْهُ فَاحْذَرُوا ۚ وَمَن يُرِدِ اللَّهُ فِتْنَتَهُ فَلَن تَمْلِكَ لَهُ مِنَ اللَّهِ شَيْئًا ۚ أُولَٰئِكَ الَّذِينَ لَمْ يُرِدِ اللَّهُ أَن يُطَهِّرَ قُلُوبَهُمْ ۚ لَهُمْ فِي الدُّنْيَا خِزْيٌ ۖ وَلَهُمْ فِي الْآخِرَةِ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ  [41]

(41) አንተ መልክተኛ ሆይ! እነዚያ በክሕደት የሚቻኮሉት ከእነዚያ ልቦቻቸው ያላመኑ ሲኾኑ በአፎቻቸው «አመንን» ካሉትና ከእነዚያም አይሁድ ከኾኑት ሲኾኑ አያሳዝኑህ፡፡ (እነርሱ) ውሸትን አዳማጮች ናቸው፡፡ ለሌሎች ወዳንተ ላልመጡ ሕዝቦች አዳማጮች ናቸው፡፡ ንግግሮችን ከቦታቸው ሌላ ያጣምማሉ፡፡ «ይህንን (የተጣመመውን) ብትስሰጡ ያዙት፡፡ ባትስሰጡትም ተጠንቀቁ» ይላሉ፡፡ አላህም መፈተኑን የሚሻበትን ሰው ለእርሱ ከአላህ (ለመከላከል) ምንንም አትችልም፡፡ እነዚህ እነዚያ አላህ ልቦቻቸውን ማጥራትን ያልሻላቸው ናቸው፡፡ ለእነርሱ በቅርቢቱ ዓለም ውርደት አላቸው፡፡ ለእነርሱም በመጨረሻይቱ ዓለም ከባድ ቅጣት አላቸው፡፡

(41) O Messenger, do not grieve for those who rush to disbelief – those who say with their mouths, “We believe”, but their hearts have no faith, nor those Jews who eagerly listen to falsehood and to those who have not yet come to you. They distort the words [of Allah] out of their context saying, “If you are given this [ruling] accept it, but if you are not given, then beware.” Whoever Allah wills to be misguided, there is nothing you can do to avail him against Allah. They are those whose hearts Allah did not will to purify. For them there is disgrace in this world, and in the Hereafter they will suffer a great punishment.

سَمَّاعُونَ لِلْكَذِبِ أَكَّالُونَ لِلسُّحْتِ ۚ فَإِن جَاءُوكَ فَاحْكُم بَيْنَهُمْ أَوْ أَعْرِضْ عَنْهُمْ ۖ وَإِن تُعْرِضْ عَنْهُمْ فَلَن يَضُرُّوكَ شَيْئًا ۖ وَإِنْ حَكَمْتَ فَاحْكُم بَيْنَهُم بِالْقِسْطِ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ الْمُقْسِطِينَ  [42]

(42) ውሸትን አዳማጮች እርምን በላተኞች ናቸው፡፡ ወደአንተ ቢመጣም በመካከላቸው ፍረድ፡፡ ወይም ተዋቸው፡፡ ብትተዋቸውም ምንም አይጎዱህም፡፡ ብትፈርድም በመካከላቸው በትክክል ፍረድ፡፡ አላህ በትክክል ፈራጆችን ይወዳልና፡፡

(42) They eagerly listen to lies and consume unlawful gains. If they come to you [O Prophet], either judge between them or turn away from them. If you turn away from them, they cannot harm you in the least. But if you judge, then judge between them with justice, for Allah loves those who are just.

وَكَيْفَ يُحَكِّمُونَكَ وَعِندَهُمُ التَّوْرَاةُ فِيهَا حُكْمُ اللَّهِ ثُمَّ يَتَوَلَّوْنَ مِن بَعْدِ ذَٰلِكَ ۚ وَمَا أُولَٰئِكَ بِالْمُؤْمِنِينَ  [43]

(43) እነርሱም ዘንድ ተውራት እያለች በውስጧ የአላህ ፍርድ ያለባት ስትኾን እንዴት ያስፈርዱሃል! ከዚያም ከዚህ በኋላ እንዴት ይሸሻሉ! እነዚያም በፍጹም ምእምናን አይደሉም፡፡

(43) But how is it that they seek your judgment when they have the Torah which contains Allah’s judgment, and they still turn away? Such people are not believers.

إِنَّا أَنزَلْنَا التَّوْرَاةَ فِيهَا هُدًى وَنُورٌ ۚ يَحْكُمُ بِهَا النَّبِيُّونَ الَّذِينَ أَسْلَمُوا لِلَّذِينَ هَادُوا وَالرَّبَّانِيُّونَ وَالْأَحْبَارُ بِمَا اسْتُحْفِظُوا مِن كِتَابِ اللَّهِ وَكَانُوا عَلَيْهِ شُهَدَاءَ ۚ فَلَا تَخْشَوُا النَّاسَ وَاخْشَوْنِ وَلَا تَشْتَرُوا بِآيَاتِي ثَمَنًا قَلِيلًا ۚ وَمَن لَّمْ يَحْكُم بِمَا أَنزَلَ اللَّهُ فَأُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْكَافِرُونَ  [44]

(44) እኛ ተውራትን በውስጥዋ መምሪያና ብርሃን ያለባት ስትኾን አወረድን፡፡ እነዚያ ትዕዛዝን የተቀበሉት ነቢያት በእነዚያ አይሁዳውያን በኾኑት ላይ በርሷ ይፈርዳሉ፡፡ ሊቃውንቱና ዐዋቂዎቹም ከአላህ መጽሐፍ እንዲጠብቁ በተደረጉትና በርሱም ላይ መስካሪዎች በኾኑት (ይፈርዳሉ)፡፡ ሰዎችንም አትፍሩ፡፡ ፍሩኝም፡፡ በአንቀጾቼም አነስተኛን ዋጋ አትለውጡ፡፡ አላህም ባወረደው ነገር ያልፈረደ ሰው እነዚያ ከሓዲዎቹ እነርሱ ናቸው፡፡

(44) We sent down the Torah which contains guidance and light; the prophets who submitted themselves to Allah were judging by it for the Jews, and so did the rabbis and scholars because they were entrusted to protect the Scripture of Allah, and they were witnesses to it. So do not fear people but fear Me, and do not trade My verses for a small price. Whoever does not judge according to what Allah has revealed, it is they who are the disbelievers.

وَكَتَبْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ فِيهَا أَنَّ النَّفْسَ بِالنَّفْسِ وَالْعَيْنَ بِالْعَيْنِ وَالْأَنفَ بِالْأَنفِ وَالْأُذُنَ بِالْأُذُنِ وَالسِّنَّ بِالسِّنِّ وَالْجُرُوحَ قِصَاصٌ ۚ فَمَن تَصَدَّقَ بِهِ فَهُوَ كَفَّارَةٌ لَّهُ ۚ وَمَن لَّمْ يَحْكُم بِمَا أَنزَلَ اللَّهُ فَأُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الظَّالِمُونَ  [45]

(45) በእነርሱም ላይ በውስጧ «ነፍስ በነፍስ ዓይንም በዓይን አፍንጫም በአፍንጫ ጆሮም በጆሮ ጥርስም በጥርስ (ይያዛል)፡፡» ቁስሎችንም ማመሳሰል አለባቸው ማለትን ጻፍን፡፡ በእርሱም የመጸወተ (የማረ) ሰው እርሱ ለርሱ (ለሠራው ኃጢአት) ማስተሰሪያ ነው፡፡ አላህም ባወረደው ነገር የማይፈርድ ሰው፤ እነዚያ በደለኞቹ እነርሱ ናቸው፡፡

(45) We ordained for them therein, “A life for a life, an eye for an eye, a nose for a nose, an ear for an ear, a tooth for a tooth, and for wounds equal retaliation.” But if anyone waives it charitably, then it will be an expiation for him. Whoever does not judge according to what Allah has revealed, it is they who are the wrongdoers.

وَقَفَّيْنَا عَلَىٰ آثَارِهِم بِعِيسَى ابْنِ مَرْيَمَ مُصَدِّقًا لِّمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ مِنَ التَّوْرَاةِ ۖ وَآتَيْنَاهُ الْإِنجِيلَ فِيهِ هُدًى وَنُورٌ وَمُصَدِّقًا لِّمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ مِنَ التَّوْرَاةِ وَهُدًى وَمَوْعِظَةً لِّلْمُتَّقِينَ  [46]

(46) በፈለጎቻቸውም (በነቢያቶቹ ፈለግ) ላይ የመርየምን ልጅ ዒሳን ከተውራት በስተፊቱ ያለውን አረጋጋጭ ሲኾን አስከተልን፡፡ ኢንጂልንም በውስጡ ቀጥታና ብርሃን ያለበት በስተፊቱ ያለችውን ተውራትንም የሚያረጋግጥ ለጥንቁቆችም መሪና ገሳጭ ሲኾን ሰጠነው፡፡

(46) And in their footsteps We sent Jesus, son of Mary, confirming the Torah that came before him, and We gave him the Gospel that contained guidance and light, confirming what came before it in the Torah; a guidance and admonition for the righteous.

وَلْيَحْكُمْ أَهْلُ الْإِنجِيلِ بِمَا أَنزَلَ اللَّهُ فِيهِ ۚ وَمَن لَّمْ يَحْكُم بِمَا أَنزَلَ اللَّهُ فَأُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْفَاسِقُونَ  [47]

(47) የኢንጅልም ባለቤቶች በውስጡ አላህ ባወረደው ሕግ ይፍረዱ፡፡ አላህም ባወረደው የማይፈርድ ሰው እነዚያ አመጸኞች እነርሱ ናቸው፡፡

(47) Let the people of the Gospel judge according to what Allah has revealed therein. Whoever does not judge according to what Allah has revealed, it is they who are the rebellious.

وَأَنزَلْنَا إِلَيْكَ الْكِتَابَ بِالْحَقِّ مُصَدِّقًا لِّمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ مِنَ الْكِتَابِ وَمُهَيْمِنًا عَلَيْهِ ۖ فَاحْكُم بَيْنَهُم بِمَا أَنزَلَ اللَّهُ ۖ وَلَا تَتَّبِعْ أَهْوَاءَهُمْ عَمَّا جَاءَكَ مِنَ الْحَقِّ ۚ لِكُلٍّ جَعَلْنَا مِنكُمْ شِرْعَةً وَمِنْهَاجًا ۚ وَلَوْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ لَجَعَلَكُمْ أُمَّةً وَاحِدَةً وَلَٰكِن لِّيَبْلُوَكُمْ فِي مَا آتَاكُمْ ۖ فَاسْتَبِقُوا الْخَيْرَاتِ ۚ إِلَى اللَّهِ مَرْجِعُكُمْ جَمِيعًا فَيُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا كُنتُمْ فِيهِ تَخْتَلِفُونَ  [48]

(48) ወደ አንተም መጽሐፉን ከበፊቱ ያለውን መጽሐፍ አረጋጋጭና በእርሱ ላይ ተጠባባቂ ሲኾን በእውነት አወረድን፡፡ በመካከላቸውም አላህ ባወረደው ሕግ ፍረድ፡፡ እውነቱም ከመጣልህ በኋላ ዝንባሌዎቻቸውን አትከተል፡፡ ከእናንተ ለሁሉም ሕግንና መንገድን አደረግን፡፡ አላህም በሻ ኖሮ አንድ ሕዝብ ባደረጋችሁ ነበር፡፡ ግን በሰጣችሁ ሕግጋት ሊሞክራችሁ (ለያያችሁ)፡፡ በጎ ሥራዎችንም (ለመሥራት) ተሽቀዳደሙ፤ መመለሻችሁ በጠቅላላ ወደ አላህ ነው፡፡ በእርሱም ትለያዩበት የነበራችሁትን ነገር ይነግራችኋል፡፡

(48) We have revealed to you [O Prophet] the Book in truth, confirming the scriptures that came before it and as a criterion over them. So judge between them according to what Allah has revealed, and do not follow their desires in disregard of the truth that has come to you. To each of you We have ordained a law and a way of life. If Allah had willed, He would have made you a single community, but He tests you in what He has given you. So compete with one another in doing good deeds. To Allah you will all return, then He will inform you concerning things over which you used to differ.

وَأَنِ احْكُم بَيْنَهُم بِمَا أَنزَلَ اللَّهُ وَلَا تَتَّبِعْ أَهْوَاءَهُمْ وَاحْذَرْهُمْ أَن يَفْتِنُوكَ عَن بَعْضِ مَا أَنزَلَ اللَّهُ إِلَيْكَ ۖ فَإِن تَوَلَّوْا فَاعْلَمْ أَنَّمَا يُرِيدُ اللَّهُ أَن يُصِيبَهُم بِبَعْضِ ذُنُوبِهِمْ ۗ وَإِنَّ كَثِيرًا مِّنَ النَّاسِ لَفَاسِقُونَ  [49]

(49) በመካከላቸውም አላህ ባወረደው ሕግ ፍረድ፡፡ ፍላጎቶቻቸውንም አትከተል፡፡ አላህም ወደ አንተ ካወረደው ከከፊሉ እንዳያሳስቱህ ተጠንቀቃቸው (ማለትን አወረድን)፡፡ ቢዞሩም አላህ የሚሻው በከፊሉ ኃጢአታቸው ሊቀጣቸው መኾኑን ዕወቅ፡፡ ከሰዎቹም ብዙዎቹ አመጸኞች ናቸው፡፡

(49) And judge between them [O Prophet] according to what Allah has revealed, and do not follow their desires. And beware of them, lest they entice you away from some of what Allah has sent down to you. If they turn away, then know that it is Allah’s will to punish them for some of their sins, and many people are indeed rebellious.

أَفَحُكْمَ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ يَبْغُونَ ۚ وَمَنْ أَحْسَنُ مِنَ اللَّهِ حُكْمًا لِّقَوْمٍ يُوقِنُونَ  [50]

(50) የማይምንነትን ፍርድ ይፈልጋሉን ለሚያረጋግጡም ሰዎች ከአላህ ይበልጥ ፍርዱ ያማረ ማን ነው

(50) Do they seek the judgment of the times of ignorance? Who could be better than Allah in judgment for people who are certain in faith?

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا تَتَّخِذُوا الْيَهُودَ وَالنَّصَارَىٰ أَوْلِيَاءَ ۘ بَعْضُهُمْ أَوْلِيَاءُ بَعْضٍ ۚ وَمَن يَتَوَلَّهُم مِّنكُمْ فَإِنَّهُ مِنْهُمْ ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَهْدِي الْقَوْمَ الظَّالِمِينَ  [51]

(51) እናንተ ያመናችሁ ሆይ! አይሁዶችንና ክርስቲያኖችን ረዳቶች አድርጋችሁ አትያዙ፡፡ ከፊላቸው ለከፊሉ ረዳቶች ናቸው፡፡ ከእናንተም ውስጥ ረዳቶች የሚያደርጋቸው ሰው እርሱ ከነርሱ ነው፡፡ አላህ አመጸኞችን ሕዝቦች አያቀናም፡፡

(51) O you who believe, do not take the Jews and Christians as allies; they are allies of one another. Whoever among you takes them as allies is indeed one of them. Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people.

فَتَرَى الَّذِينَ فِي قُلُوبِهِم مَّرَضٌ يُسَارِعُونَ فِيهِمْ يَقُولُونَ نَخْشَىٰ أَن تُصِيبَنَا دَائِرَةٌ ۚ فَعَسَى اللَّهُ أَن يَأْتِيَ بِالْفَتْحِ أَوْ أَمْرٍ مِّنْ عِندِهِ فَيُصْبِحُوا عَلَىٰ مَا أَسَرُّوا فِي أَنفُسِهِمْ نَادِمِينَ  [52]

(52) እነዚያንም በልቦቻቸው ውስጥ (የንፍቅና) በሽታ ያለባቸውን ሰዎች «የጊዜ መለዋወጥ እንዳያገኘን እንፈራለን የሚሉ» ሲኾኑ በእነርሱ (ለመረዳት) ሲቻኮሉ ታያቸዋለህ፡፡ አላህም ድል መንሳትን ወይም ከእርሱ ዘንድ የኾነን ነገር (ማጋለጥን) ሊያመጣ በነፍሶቻቸው ውስጥ በደበቁትም ነገር ተጸጻቾች ሲሆኑ ተረጋገጠ፡፡

(52) You see those with sickness in their hearts rushing to them, saying, “We fear a misfortune may strike us.” Perhaps Allah will bring about victory or some other decision from Himself, then they will regret what they kept hidden in their hearts.

وَيَقُولُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا أَهَٰؤُلَاءِ الَّذِينَ أَقْسَمُوا بِاللَّهِ جَهْدَ أَيْمَانِهِمْ ۙ إِنَّهُمْ لَمَعَكُمْ ۚ حَبِطَتْ أَعْمَالُهُمْ فَأَصْبَحُوا خَاسِرِينَ  [53]

(53) እነዚያም ያመኑት ሰዎች፡- «እነዚያ እነርሱ ከእናንተ ጋር ነን ብለው የጠነከረ መሐላቸውን በአላህ የማሉት እነዚህ ናቸውን» ይላሉ፡፡ ሥራዎቻቸው ተበላሹ፡፡ ከሳሪዎችም ኾኑ፡፡

(53) And those who believe say, “Are these the people who swore their solemn oaths by Allah that they were with you?” Their deeds have become worthless, and they have become losers.

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مَن يَرْتَدَّ مِنكُمْ عَن دِينِهِ فَسَوْفَ يَأْتِي اللَّهُ بِقَوْمٍ يُحِبُّهُمْ وَيُحِبُّونَهُ أَذِلَّةٍ عَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِينَ أَعِزَّةٍ عَلَى الْكَافِرِينَ يُجَاهِدُونَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَلَا يَخَافُونَ لَوْمَةَ لَائِمٍ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ فَضْلُ اللَّهِ يُؤْتِيهِ مَن يَشَاءُ ۚ وَاللَّهُ وَاسِعٌ عَلِيمٌ  [54]

(54) እናንተ ያመናችሁ ሆይ! ከእናንተ ውስጥ ከሃይማኖቱ የሚመለስ ሰው አላህ (በእነርሱ ስፍራ) የሚወዳቸውንና የሚወዱትን፣ በምእመናን ላይ ትሑቶች፣ በከሓዲዎች ላይ ኀያላን የኾኑን በአላህ መንገድ የሚታገሉን የወቃሽን ወቀሳ የማይፈሩን ሕዝቦች በእርግጥ ያመጣል፡፡ ይኸ የአላህ ችሮታ ነው፤ ለሚሻው ሰው ይሰጠዋል፤ አላህም ችሮታው ሰፊ ዐዋቂ ነው፡፡

(54) O you who believe, Whoever among you renounces his faith, Allah will bring a people whom He loves and who love Him. They will be humble towards the believers but strict towards the disbelievers, striving in the way of Allah and fearing no reproach from any critic. This is Allah’s favor which He gives to whom He wills. And Allah is All-Bountiful, All-Knowing.

إِنَّمَا وَلِيُّكُمُ اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا الَّذِينَ يُقِيمُونَ الصَّلَاةَ وَيُؤْتُونَ الزَّكَاةَ وَهُمْ رَاكِعُونَ  [55]

(55) ረዳታችሁ አላህና መልክተኛው እነዚያም ያመኑት ብቻ ናቸው፡፡ (እነርሱ) እነዚያ ሶላትን በደንቡ የሚሰግዱ እነርሱም ያጎነበሱ ኾነው ምጽዋትን የሚሰጡ ናቸው፡፡

(55) Your only allies are Allah, His Messenger, and those believers who establish prayer and give zakah with humble submission.

وَمَن يَتَوَلَّ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا فَإِنَّ حِزْبَ اللَّهِ هُمُ الْغَالِبُونَ  [56]

(56) አላህንና መልክተኛውን እነዚያንም ያመኑትን የሚወዳጅ ሰው (ከአላህ ጭፍሮች ይኾናል)፡፡ የአላህም ጭፍሮች እነርሱ አሸናፊዎች ናቸው፡፡

(56) Whoever takes Allah, His Messenger, and the believers as their allies, then it is the party of Allah that will certainly prevail.

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا تَتَّخِذُوا الَّذِينَ اتَّخَذُوا دِينَكُمْ هُزُوًا وَلَعِبًا مِّنَ الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ وَالْكُفَّارَ أَوْلِيَاءَ ۚ وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ  [57]

(57) እናንተ ያመናችሁ ሆይ! ከእነዚያ ከበፊታችሁ መጽሐፍን ከተሰጡት እነዚያን ሃይማኖታችሁን ማላገጫና መጫወቻ አድርገው የያዙትን ከሓዲዎችንም ረዳቶች አድርጋችሁ አትያዙ፡፡ ምእምናንም እንደኾናችሁ አላህን ፍሩ፡፡

(57) O you who believe, do not take as allies those who were given the Scripture before you and the disbelievers who ridicule your religion and make fun of it. And fear Allah if you are believers.

وَإِذَا نَادَيْتُمْ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ اتَّخَذُوهَا هُزُوًا وَلَعِبًا ۚ ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ قَوْمٌ لَّا يَعْقِلُونَ  [58]

(58) ወደ ሶላትም በጠራችሁ ጊዜ (ጥሪይቱን) መሳለቂያና መጫወቻ አድርገው ይይዟታል፡፡ ይህ እነርሱ የማያውቁ ሕዝቦች በመኾናቸው ነው፡፡

(58) When you give the call to prayer, they ridicule it and make fun of it; that is because they are a people who have no understanding.

قُلْ يَا أَهْلَ الْكِتَابِ هَلْ تَنقِمُونَ مِنَّا إِلَّا أَنْ آمَنَّا بِاللَّهِ وَمَا أُنزِلَ إِلَيْنَا وَمَا أُنزِلَ مِن قَبْلُ وَأَنَّ أَكْثَرَكُمْ فَاسِقُونَ  [59]

(59) «የመጽሐፉ ባለቤቶች ሆይ! በአላህና ወደኛ በተወረደው በፊትም በተወረደው ለማመናችን አብዛኞቻችሁም አመጸኞች ለመኾናችሁ እንጅ (ሌላን ነገር) ከኛ ትጠላላችሁን» በላቸው፡፡

(59) Say, “O People of the Book, do you resent us only because we believe in Allah and what has been sent down to us and what was sent down before, and that most of you are rebellious?”

قُلْ هَلْ أُنَبِّئُكُم بِشَرٍّ مِّن ذَٰلِكَ مَثُوبَةً عِندَ اللَّهِ ۚ مَن لَّعَنَهُ اللَّهُ وَغَضِبَ عَلَيْهِ وَجَعَلَ مِنْهُمُ الْقِرَدَةَ وَالْخَنَازِيرَ وَعَبَدَ الطَّاغُوتَ ۚ أُولَٰئِكَ شَرٌّ مَّكَانًا وَأَضَلُّ عَن سَوَاءِ السَّبِيلِ  [60]

(60) «አላህ ዘንድ ቅጣቱ ከዚህ የከፋ ነገር ልንገራችሁን» በላቸው፡፡ (እርሱም) «አላህ የረገመው ሰው በእርሱም ላይ ተቆጣበት፡፡ ከእነርሱም ዝንጀሮዎችንና ከርከሮዎችን ያደረገው ጣዖትንም የተገዛ ሰው (ሃይማኖት) ነው፡፡ እነዚያ በጣም በከፋ ስፍራ ናቸው፡፡» ከቀጥተኛውም መንገድ በጣም የተሳሳቱ ናቸው፡፡

(60) Say, “Shall I inform you of those who deserve a worse punishment from Allah? Those who have been cursed by Allah and incurred His wrath, and He turned them into monkeys and pigs, and devil worshipers. Such are far worse in position and farther astray from the straight path.”

وَإِذَا جَاءُوكُمْ قَالُوا آمَنَّا وَقَد دَّخَلُوا بِالْكُفْرِ وَهُمْ قَدْ خَرَجُوا بِهِ ۚ وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا كَانُوا يَكْتُمُونَ  [61]

(61) በመጡዋችሁም ጊዜ (ወደእናንተ) ከክህደት ጋር በእርግጥ የገቡ እነርሱም ከርሱ ጋር በእርግጥ የወጡ ሲኾኑ «አምነናል» ይላሉ፡፡ አላህም ይደብቁት የነበሩትን ነገር በጣም ዐዋቂ ነው፡፡

(61) When they come to you [believers] they say, “We believe”, but in fact they are committed to disbelief both prior to their coming and after their leaving, and Allah knows best what they conceal.

وَتَرَىٰ كَثِيرًا مِّنْهُمْ يُسَارِعُونَ فِي الْإِثْمِ وَالْعُدْوَانِ وَأَكْلِهِمُ السُّحْتَ ۚ لَبِئْسَ مَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ  [62]

(62) ከእነርሱም ብዙዎቹን በኃጢአትና በበደል እርምንም በመብላታቸው የሚጣደፉ ሲኾኑ ታያለህ፡፡ ይሠሩት የነበሩት ነገር በጣም ከፋ!

(62) You see many of them rushing into sin and transgression, and consuming unlawful earnings. Terrible indeed is what they do!

لَوْلَا يَنْهَاهُمُ الرَّبَّانِيُّونَ وَالْأَحْبَارُ عَن قَوْلِهِمُ الْإِثْمَ وَأَكْلِهِمُ السُّحْتَ ۚ لَبِئْسَ مَا كَانُوا يَصْنَعُونَ  [63]

(63) ቀሳውስቱና ሊቃውንቱ ከኃጢአት ንግግራቸውና እርምን ከመብላታቸው አይከለክሏቸውም ኖሮአልን ይሠሩት የነበሩት ነገር በጣም ከፋ!

(63) Why is it that their rabbis and scholars do not forbid them from saying words of sin and consuming unlawful earnings? Terrible indeed is what they commit!

وَقَالَتِ الْيَهُودُ يَدُ اللَّهِ مَغْلُولَةٌ ۚ غُلَّتْ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَلُعِنُوا بِمَا قَالُوا ۘ بَلْ يَدَاهُ مَبْسُوطَتَانِ يُنفِقُ كَيْفَ يَشَاءُ ۚ وَلَيَزِيدَنَّ كَثِيرًا مِّنْهُم مَّا أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكَ مِن رَّبِّكَ طُغْيَانًا وَكُفْرًا ۚ وَأَلْقَيْنَا بَيْنَهُمُ الْعَدَاوَةَ وَالْبَغْضَاءَ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ ۚ كُلَّمَا أَوْقَدُوا نَارًا لِّلْحَرْبِ أَطْفَأَهَا اللَّهُ ۚ وَيَسْعَوْنَ فِي الْأَرْضِ فَسَادًا ۚ وَاللَّهُ لَا يُحِبُّ الْمُفْسِدِينَ  [64]

(64) አይሁዶችም «የአላህ እጅ የታሰረች ናት» አሉ፡፡ እጆቻቸው ይታሰሩ ባሉትም ነገር ይረገሙ፡፡ አይደለም (የአላህ) እጆቹ የተዘረጉ ናቸው፡፡ እንደሚሻ ይለግሳል፡፡ ከጌታህም ወደ አንተ የተወረደው (ቁርኣን) ከእነሱ ብዙዎቹን ትዕቢትንና ክህደትን በእርግጥ ይጨምራቸዋል፡፡ በመካከላቸውም ጠብንና ጥላቻን እስከ ትንሣኤ ቀን ድረስ ጣልን፡፡ ለጦር እሳትን ባያያዙ (ባጫሩ) ቁጥር አላህ ያጠፋታል፡፡ በምድርም ውስጥ ለማበላሸት ይሮጣሉ፡፡ አላህም አበላሺዎችን አይወድም፡፡

(64) The Jews say, “Allah’s Hand is restrained.” Their hands have been restrained and they have been cursed for what they say. Rather, His both Hands are wide open, spending as He pleases. What has been sent down to you from your Lord will surely increase many of them in transgression and disbelief. We have cast among them animosity and hatred until the Day of Resurrection. Every time they kindle the fire of war, Allah extinguishes it. They strive to spread corruption in the land, and Allah does not like those who spread corruption.

وَلَوْ أَنَّ أَهْلَ الْكِتَابِ آمَنُوا وَاتَّقَوْا لَكَفَّرْنَا عَنْهُمْ سَيِّئَاتِهِمْ وَلَأَدْخَلْنَاهُمْ جَنَّاتِ النَّعِيمِ  [65]

(65) የመጽሐፉም ባለቤቶች ባመኑና (ከክህደትም) በተጠነቀቁ ኖሮ ከእነሱ ኃጢኣቶቻቸውን በእርግጥ ባበስንና የመጠቀሚያ ገነቶችንም በእርግጥ ባገባናቸው ነበር፡፡

(65) Had the People of the Book believed and feared Allah, We would have surely expiated their sins from them and admitted them to Gardens of Pleasure.

وَلَوْ أَنَّهُمْ أَقَامُوا التَّوْرَاةَ وَالْإِنجِيلَ وَمَا أُنزِلَ إِلَيْهِم مِّن رَّبِّهِمْ لَأَكَلُوا مِن فَوْقِهِمْ وَمِن تَحْتِ أَرْجُلِهِم ۚ مِّنْهُمْ أُمَّةٌ مُّقْتَصِدَةٌ ۖ وَكَثِيرٌ مِّنْهُمْ سَاءَ مَا يَعْمَلُونَ  [66]

(66) እነርሱም ተውራትንና ኢንጂልን ከጌታቸውም ወደእነሱ የተወረደውን መጽሐፍ ባቋቋሙ (በሠሩበት) ኖሮ ከበላያቸውና ከእግሮቻቸው ሥር በተመገቡ ነበር፡፡ ከእነሱ ውስጥ ትክክለኞች ሕዝቦች አልሉ፡፡ ከእነሱም ብዙዎቹ የሚሠሩት ነገር ከፋ!

(66) If they had upheld the Torah and the Gospel, and what has been sent down to them from their Lord, they would have been given abundant provisions from above them and from below their feet. Among them are some who are on the right way, but most of them do evil deeds.

يَا أَيُّهَا الرَّسُولُ بَلِّغْ مَا أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكَ مِن رَّبِّكَ ۖ وَإِن لَّمْ تَفْعَلْ فَمَا بَلَّغْتَ رِسَالَتَهُ ۚ وَاللَّهُ يَعْصِمُكَ مِنَ النَّاسِ ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَهْدِي الْقَوْمَ الْكَافِرِينَ  [67]

(67) አንተ መልክተኛ ሆይ! ከጌታህ ወዳንተ የተወረደውን አድርስ፡፡ ባትሠራም መልክቱን አላደረስክም፡፡ አላህም ከሰዎች ይጠብቅሃል፡፡ አላህ ከሓዲዎችን ሕዝቦች አያቀናምና፡፡

(67) O Messenger, convey what has been sent down to you from your Lord. If you do not do that, then you have not conveyed His message. Allah will protect you from the people. Allah does not guide the disbelieving people.

قُلْ يَا أَهْلَ الْكِتَابِ لَسْتُمْ عَلَىٰ شَيْءٍ حَتَّىٰ تُقِيمُوا التَّوْرَاةَ وَالْإِنجِيلَ وَمَا أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكُم مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ ۗ وَلَيَزِيدَنَّ كَثِيرًا مِّنْهُم مَّا أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكَ مِن رَّبِّكَ طُغْيَانًا وَكُفْرًا ۖ فَلَا تَأْسَ عَلَى الْقَوْمِ الْكَافِرِينَ  [68]

(68) «እናንተ የመጽሐፉ ባለቤቶች ሆይ! ተውራትንና ኢንጂልን ከጌታችሁም ወደእናንተ የተወረደውን እስከምታቆሙ (እስከምትሠሩባቸው) ድረስ በምንም ላይ አይደላችሁም» በላቸው፡፡ ከጌታህም ወደ አንተ የተወረደው ቁርኣን ከእነሱ ብዙዎቹን ትዕቢትንና ክህደትን በእርግጥ ይጨምርባቸዋል፡፡ በከሓዲያን ሕዝቦችም ላይ አትዘን፡፡

(68) Say, “O People of the Book, you have nothing to stand on unless you observe the Torah and the Gospel and what has been sent down to you from your Lord.” Your Lord’s revelation to you [O Prophet] will only increase them in transgression and disbelief. So do not grieve over the disbelieving people.

إِنَّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَالَّذِينَ هَادُوا وَالصَّابِئُونَ وَالنَّصَارَىٰ مَنْ آمَنَ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ وَعَمِلَ صَالِحًا فَلَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ  [69]

(69) እነዚያ ያመኑና እነዚያም አይሁዳውያን የኾኑ፣ ሳቢያኖችም፣ ክርስቲያኖችም (ከነርሱ) በአላህና በመጨረሻው ቀን ያመነና መልካምን ሥራ የሠራ ሰው በነርሱ ላይ ፍርሃት የለባቸውም፡፡ እነርሱም አያዝኑም፡፡

(69) The believers, and those who are Jews, and the Sabians and Christians [before Muhammad] – those of them who believed in Allah and the Last Day and did righteous deeds, they will have no fear, nor will they grieve.

لَقَدْ أَخَذْنَا مِيثَاقَ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ وَأَرْسَلْنَا إِلَيْهِمْ رُسُلًا ۖ كُلَّمَا جَاءَهُمْ رَسُولٌ بِمَا لَا تَهْوَىٰ أَنفُسُهُمْ فَرِيقًا كَذَّبُوا وَفَرِيقًا يَقْتُلُونَ  [70]

(70) የእስራኤልን ልጆች የጠበቀ ቃል ኪዳን በእርግጥ ያዝንባቸው፡፡ ወደእነሱም መልክተኞችን ላክን፡፡ ነፍሶቻቸው በማትወደው ነገር መልእክተኛ በመጣላቸው ቁጥር ከፊሉን አስተባበሉ፤ ከፊሉንም ይገድላሉ፡፡

(70) We took the covenant from the Children of Israel and sent them messengers. Every time there came to them a messenger with something that did not suit their desires, they denied some of them and murdered others.

وَحَسِبُوا أَلَّا تَكُونَ فِتْنَةٌ فَعَمُوا وَصَمُّوا ثُمَّ تَابَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِمْ ثُمَّ عَمُوا وَصَمُّوا كَثِيرٌ مِّنْهُمْ ۚ وَاللَّهُ بَصِيرٌ بِمَا يَعْمَلُونَ  [71]

(71) ፈተናም አለመኖርዋን ጠረጠሩ፡፡ ታወሩም፣ ደነቆሩም፣ ከዚያም አላህ ከነርሱ ላይ ጸጸትን ተቀበለ፡፡ ከዚያም ከእነሱ ብዙዎቹ ታወሩ፣ ደነቆሩም፡፡ አላህም የሚሠሩትን ሁሉ ተመልካች ነው፡፡

(71) They thought that there would be no consequences, so they became blind and deaf [to the truth]. Then Allah forgave them, but again many of them became blind and deaf. And Allah is All-Seeing of what they do.

لَقَدْ كَفَرَ الَّذِينَ قَالُوا إِنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ الْمَسِيحُ ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ ۖ وَقَالَ الْمَسِيحُ يَا بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ اعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ رَبِّي وَرَبَّكُمْ ۖ إِنَّهُ مَن يُشْرِكْ بِاللَّهِ فَقَدْ حَرَّمَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ الْجَنَّةَ وَمَأْوَاهُ النَّارُ ۖ وَمَا لِلظَّالِمِينَ مِنْ أَنصَارٍ  [72]

(72) እነዚያ «አላህ እርሱ የመርየም ልጅ አልመሲሕ ነው» ያሉ በእርግጥ ካዱ፡፡ አልመሲህም አለ፡- «የእስራኤል ልጆች ሆይ! ጌታዬንና ጌታችሁን አላህን ተገዙ፡፡» እነሆ! በአላህ የሚያጋራ ሰው አላህ በርሱ ላይ ገነትን በእርግጥ እርም አደረገ፡፡ መኖሪያውም እሳት ናት፡፡ ለበዳዮችም ምንም ረዳቶች የሏቸውም፡፡

(72) They have certainly disbelieved, those who say, “Allah is the Messiah, son of Mary.” But the Messiah said, “O Children of Israel, worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord.” Whoever associates any partners with Allah, Allah has forbidden Paradise for him, and his abode will be the Fire. And the wrongdoers will have no helpers.

لَّقَدْ كَفَرَ الَّذِينَ قَالُوا إِنَّ اللَّهَ ثَالِثُ ثَلَاثَةٍ ۘ وَمَا مِنْ إِلَٰهٍ إِلَّا إِلَٰهٌ وَاحِدٌ ۚ وَإِن لَّمْ يَنتَهُوا عَمَّا يَقُولُونَ لَيَمَسَّنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِنْهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ  [73]

(73) እነዚያ «አላህ የሦስት ሦስተኛ ነው» ያሉ በእርግጥ ካዱ፡፡ ከአምላክም አንድ አምላክ እንጅ ሌላ የለም፡፡ ከሚሉትም ነገር ባይከለከሉ ከነሱ እነዚያን የካዱትን አሳማሚ ቅጣት በእርግጥ ይነካቸዋል፡፡

(73) They have certainly disbelieved, those who say, “Allah is one of Three.” None has the right to be worshiped except One God. If they do not desist from saying this, those who disbelieve from among them will be afflicted with a painful punishment.

أَفَلَا يَتُوبُونَ إِلَى اللَّهِ وَيَسْتَغْفِرُونَهُ ۚ وَاللَّهُ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ  [74]

(74) ወደ አላህ አይመለሱምና ምሕረትን አይለምኑትምን አላህም መሓሪ አዛኝ ነው፡፡

(74) Why do they not turn to Allah in repentance and seek His forgiveness? For Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

مَّا الْمَسِيحُ ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ إِلَّا رَسُولٌ قَدْ خَلَتْ مِن قَبْلِهِ الرُّسُلُ وَأُمُّهُ صِدِّيقَةٌ ۖ كَانَا يَأْكُلَانِ الطَّعَامَ ۗ انظُرْ كَيْفَ نُبَيِّنُ لَهُمُ الْآيَاتِ ثُمَّ انظُرْ أَنَّىٰ يُؤْفَكُونَ  [75]

(75) የመርየም ልጅ አልመሲሕ ከበፊቱ መልክተኞች በእርግጥ ያለፉ የኾነ መልክተኛ እንጅ ሌላ አይደለም፡፡ እናቱም በጣም እውነተኛ ናት፡፡ (ሁለቱም) ምግብን የሚበሉ ነበሩ፤ አንቀጾችን ለነርሱ (ለከሓዲዎች) እንዴት እንደምናብራራ ተመልከት ከዚያም (ከእውነት) እንዴት እንደሚመለሱ ተመልከት፡፡

(75) The Messiah, son of Mary, was no more than a messenger. There were messengers who passed away before him, and His mother was a woman of truth; they both ate food. See how We make Our signs clear to them, yet see how they are deluded!

قُلْ أَتَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ مَا لَا يَمْلِكُ لَكُمْ ضَرًّا وَلَا نَفْعًا ۚ وَاللَّهُ هُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ  [76]

(76) «ከአላህ ሌላ ለእናንተ መጉዳትንና መጥቀምን የማይችልን ትገዛላችሁን» በላቸው፡፡ አላህም እርሱ ሰሚው ዐዋቂ ነው፡፡

(76) Say, “Do you worship besides Allah that which can neither harm nor benefit you?! And Allah is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.”

قُلْ يَا أَهْلَ الْكِتَابِ لَا تَغْلُوا فِي دِينِكُمْ غَيْرَ الْحَقِّ وَلَا تَتَّبِعُوا أَهْوَاءَ قَوْمٍ قَدْ ضَلُّوا مِن قَبْلُ وَأَضَلُّوا كَثِيرًا وَضَلُّوا عَن سَوَاءِ السَّبِيلِ  [77]

(77) «እናንተ የመጽሐፉ ባለቤቶች ሆይ! በሃይማኖታችሁ ከእውነት ሌላ የኾነን (ማለፍ) ወሰንን አትለፉ፡፡ በፊትም በእርግጥ የተሳሳቱትንና ከቀጥተኛው መንገድም (አሁን) የተሳሳቱን ሕዝቦች ከንቱ ዝንባሌዎች አትከተሉ» በላቸው፡፡

(77) Say, “O People of the Book, do not exceed the limits of the truth in your religion, nor follow the desires of people who went astray before, and misled many and themselves strayed from the straight path.”

لُعِنَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِن بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ عَلَىٰ لِسَانِ دَاوُودَ وَعِيسَى ابْنِ مَرْيَمَ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ بِمَا عَصَوا وَّكَانُوا يَعْتَدُونَ  [78]

(78) ከእስራኤል ልጆች እነዚያ የካዱት በዳውድና በመርየም ልጅ በዒሳ ምላስ ተረገሙ፡፡ ይህ ትእዛዝን በመጣሳቸውና ወሰንን የሚያልፉ በመኾናቸው ነው፡፡

(78) Those who disbelieved from the Children of Israel were cursed on the tongue of David and Jesus son of Mary. That was because of their disobedience and their persistence in transgression.

كَانُوا لَا يَتَنَاهَوْنَ عَن مُّنكَرٍ فَعَلُوهُ ۚ لَبِئْسَ مَا كَانُوا يَفْعَلُونَ  [79]

(79) ከሠሩት መጥፎ ነገር አይከላከሉም ነበር፡፡ ይሠሩት የነበሩት ነገር በእርግጥ ከፋ!

(79) They did not forbid one another from committing evil deeds. Terrible was indeed what they used to do!

تَرَىٰ كَثِيرًا مِّنْهُمْ يَتَوَلَّوْنَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا ۚ لَبِئْسَ مَا قَدَّمَتْ لَهُمْ أَنفُسُهُمْ أَن سَخِطَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِمْ وَفِي الْعَذَابِ هُمْ خَالِدُونَ  [80]

(80) ከእነሱ ብዙዎቹን እነዚያን የካዱትን ሲወዳጁ ታያለህ፡፡ በእነሱ ላይ አላህ የተቆጣባቸው በመኾኑ ለእነርሱ ነፍሶቻቸው ያስቀደሙት ሥራ በጣም ከፋ፡፡ እነሱም በቅጣት ውስጥ ዘውታሪዎች ናቸው፡፡

(80) You see many of them taking those who disbelieve as allies. Terrible was indeed what they have done for themselves, for they have incurred Allah’s wrath and they will abide in the punishment forever.

وَلَوْ كَانُوا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللَّهِ وَالنَّبِيِّ وَمَا أُنزِلَ إِلَيْهِ مَا اتَّخَذُوهُمْ أَوْلِيَاءَ وَلَٰكِنَّ كَثِيرًا مِّنْهُمْ فَاسِقُونَ  [81]

(81) በአላህና በነቢዩ ወደርሱም በተወረደው ቁርኣን የሚያምኑ በኾኑ ኖሮ ወዳጆች አድርገው ባልያዙዋቸው ነበር፡፡ ግን ከነርሱ ብዙዎቹ አመጠኞች ናቸው፡፡

(81) If they had believed in Allah and the Prophet, and what has been sent down to him, they would not have taken them as allies, but most of them are evildoers.

لَتَجِدَنَّ أَشَدَّ النَّاسِ عَدَاوَةً لِّلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا الْيَهُودَ وَالَّذِينَ أَشْرَكُوا ۖ وَلَتَجِدَنَّ أَقْرَبَهُم مَّوَدَّةً لِّلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا الَّذِينَ قَالُوا إِنَّا نَصَارَىٰ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّ مِنْهُمْ قِسِّيسِينَ وَرُهْبَانًا وَأَنَّهُمْ لَا يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ  [82]

(82) አይሁዶችንና እነዚያን ያጋሩትን ለእነዚያ ለአመኑት በጠላትነት ከሰዎች ሁሉ ይበልጥ የበረቱ ኾነው በእርግጥ ታገኛለህ፡፡ እነዚያንም «እኛ ክርስቲያኖች ነን» ያሉትን ለእነዚያ ለአመኑት በወዳጅነት በእርግጥ ይበልጥ የቀረቧቸው ኾነው ታገኛለህ፡፡ ይህ ከእነሱ ውስጥ ቀሳውስትና መነኮሳት በመኖራቸውና እነሱም የማይኮሩ በመኾናቸው ነው፡፡

(82) You will surely find that the most hostile people towards the believers are the Jews and those who associate partners with Allah, and you will surely find that the closest of them in affection to the believers are those who say, “We are Christians.” That is because among them are priests and monks, and they are not arrogant.

وَإِذَا سَمِعُوا مَا أُنزِلَ إِلَى الرَّسُولِ تَرَىٰ أَعْيُنَهُمْ تَفِيضُ مِنَ الدَّمْعِ مِمَّا عَرَفُوا مِنَ الْحَقِّ ۖ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا آمَنَّا فَاكْتُبْنَا مَعَ الشَّاهِدِينَ  [83]

(83) ወደ መልክተኛውም የተወረደውን (ቁርኣን) በሰሙ ጊዜ እውነቱን ከማወቃቸው የተነሳ ዓይኖቻቸው እንባን ሲያፈሱ ታያለህ፡፡ «ጌታችን ሆይ! አመንን ከመስካሪዎቹም ጋር ጻፈን » ይላሉ፡፡

(83) When they hear what has been sent down to the Messenger, you see their eyes overflowing with tears because of recognizing the truth. They say, “Our Lord, we believe, so record us among those who testify [to the truth].

وَمَا لَنَا لَا نُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَمَا جَاءَنَا مِنَ الْحَقِّ وَنَطْمَعُ أَن يُدْخِلَنَا رَبُّنَا مَعَ الْقَوْمِ الصَّالِحِينَ  [84]

(84) «በአላህና ከውነትም በመጣልን ነገር የማናምን ጌታችንም ከመልካም ሰዎች ጋር ሊያስገባን የማንከጅል ለኛ ምን አለን» (ይላሉ)፡፡

(84) Why should we not believe in Allah and the truth that has come to us? And we hope that our Lord will include us in the company of the righteous people.”

فَأَثَابَهُمُ اللَّهُ بِمَا قَالُوا جَنَّاتٍ تَجْرِي مِن تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا ۚ وَذَٰلِكَ جَزَاءُ الْمُحْسِنِينَ  [85]

(85) ባሉትም ምክንያት አላህ በስሥሮቻቸው ወንዞች የሚፈሱባቸውን ገነቶች በውስጣቸው ዘውታሪዎች ሲኾኑ መነዳቸው፡፡ ይህም የበጎ ሠሪዎች ዋጋ ነው፡፡

(85) So Allah rewarded them for what they said with gardens under which rivers flow, abiding therein forever. Such is the reward of those who do good.

وَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا وَكَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِنَا أُولَٰئِكَ أَصْحَابُ الْجَحِيمِ  [86]

(86) እነዚያም የካዱና በአንቀጾቻችን ያስተባበሉ እነዚያ የእሳት ጓዶች ናቸው፡፡

(86) But those who disbelieve and reject Our signs, they are the people of the Blazing Fire.

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا تُحَرِّمُوا طَيِّبَاتِ مَا أَحَلَّ اللَّهُ لَكُمْ وَلَا تَعْتَدُوا ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ الْمُعْتَدِينَ  [87]

(87) እናንተ ያመናችሁ ሆይ! አላህ ለናንተ የፈቀደላችሁን ጣፋጮች እርም አታድርጉ፡፡ ወሰንንም አትለፉ፡፡ አላህ ወሰን አላፊዎችን አይወድምና፡፡

(87) O you who believe, do not prohibit the good things that Allah has made lawful for you, and do not exceed the limits, for Allah does not like those who exceed the limits.

وَكُلُوا مِمَّا رَزَقَكُمُ اللَّهُ حَلَالًا طَيِّبًا ۚ وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ الَّذِي أَنتُم بِهِ مُؤْمِنُونَ  [88]

(88) አላህም ከሰጣችሁ ሲሳይ የተፈቀደ ጣፋጭ ሲኾን ብሉ፡፡ ያንንም እናንተ በርሱ አማኞች የኾናችሁበትን አላህን ፍሩ፡፡

(88) Eat of the lawful and good things that Allah has provided for you, and fear Allah in Whom you believe.

لَا يُؤَاخِذُكُمُ اللَّهُ بِاللَّغْوِ فِي أَيْمَانِكُمْ وَلَٰكِن يُؤَاخِذُكُم بِمَا عَقَّدتُّمُ الْأَيْمَانَ ۖ فَكَفَّارَتُهُ إِطْعَامُ عَشَرَةِ مَسَاكِينَ مِنْ أَوْسَطِ مَا تُطْعِمُونَ أَهْلِيكُمْ أَوْ كِسْوَتُهُمْ أَوْ تَحْرِيرُ رَقَبَةٍ ۖ فَمَن لَّمْ يَجِدْ فَصِيَامُ ثَلَاثَةِ أَيَّامٍ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ كَفَّارَةُ أَيْمَانِكُمْ إِذَا حَلَفْتُمْ ۚ وَاحْفَظُوا أَيْمَانَكُمْ ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ يُبَيِّنُ اللَّهُ لَكُمْ آيَاتِهِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ  [89]

(89) አላህ በመሐላዎቻችሁ በውድቁ አይዛችሁም፡፡ ግን መሐላዎችን (ባሰባችሁት) ይይዛችኋል፡፡ ማስተሰሪያውም ቤተሰቦቻችሁን ከምትመግቡት ከመካከለኛው (ምግብ) ዐስርን ምስኪኖች ማብላት ወይም እነሱን ማልበስ ወይም ጫንቃን ነጻ ማውጣት ነው፤ (ከተባሉት አንዱን) ያላገኘም ሰው ሦስት ቀኖችን መጾም ነው፤ ይህ በማላችሁ ጊዜ የመሐላዎቻችሁ ማካካሻ ነው፡፡ መሐላዎቻችሁንም ጠብቁ፡፡ እንደዚሁ አላህ ለናንተ አንቀጾችን ያብራራል፡፡ እናንተ ልታመሰግኑ ይከጀላልና፡፡

(89) Allah will not hold you accountable for your unintentional oaths, but He will hold you accountable for your deliberate oaths. The expiation thereof is to feed ten needy people from what you normally feed your own family, or to clothe them, or to emancipate a slave. However, if someone cannot afford it, then he must fast for three days. That is the expiation for breaking your oaths. But be mindful of your oaths. This is how Allah makes His verses clear to you, so that you may be grateful.

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِنَّمَا الْخَمْرُ وَالْمَيْسِرُ وَالْأَنصَابُ وَالْأَزْلَامُ رِجْسٌ مِّنْ عَمَلِ الشَّيْطَانِ فَاجْتَنِبُوهُ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ  [90]

(90) እናንተ ያመናችሁ ሆይ! የሚያሰክር መጠጥ ቁማርም ጣዖታትም አዝላምም ከሰይጣን ሥራ የኾኑ እርኩስ ብቻ ናቸው፡፡ (እርኩስን) ራቁትም ልትድኑ ይከጀላልና፡፡

(90) O you who believe, intoxicants, gambling, [sacrificing on] stone alters and divining arrows are of Satan’s evil work; therefore avoid such [evil], so that you may be successful.

إِنَّمَا يُرِيدُ الشَّيْطَانُ أَن يُوقِعَ بَيْنَكُمُ الْعَدَاوَةَ وَالْبَغْضَاءَ فِي الْخَمْرِ وَالْمَيْسِرِ وَيَصُدَّكُمْ عَن ذِكْرِ اللَّهِ وَعَنِ الصَّلَاةِ ۖ فَهَلْ أَنتُم مُّنتَهُونَ  [91]

(91) ሰይጣን የሚፈልገው በሚያሰክር መጠጥና በቁማር በመካከላችሁ ጠብንና ጥላቻን ሊጥል አላህን ከማውሳትና ከስግደትም ሊያግዳችሁ ብቻ ነው፡፡ ታዲያ እናንተ (ከእነዚህ) ተከልካዮች ናችሁን (ተከልከሉ)፡፡

(91) Satan only wants to create enmity and hatred between you through intoxicants and gambling, and to prevent you from remembering Allah and from prayer. Will you not then abstain?

وَأَطِيعُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُوا الرَّسُولَ وَاحْذَرُوا ۚ فَإِن تَوَلَّيْتُمْ فَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّمَا عَلَىٰ رَسُولِنَا الْبَلَاغُ الْمُبِينُ  [92]

(92) አላህንም ተገዙ፡፡ መልክተኛውንም ታዘዙ፡፡ ተጠንቀቁም፡፡ ብትሸሹም፤ በመልክተኛችን ላይ ያለበት ግልጽ ማድረስ ብቻ መኾኑን ዕወቁ፡፡

(92) Obey Allah and obey the Messenger and be cautious. But if you turn away, then know that the duty of Our Messenger is only to convey the message clearly.

لَيْسَ عَلَى الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ جُنَاحٌ فِيمَا طَعِمُوا إِذَا مَا اتَّقَوا وَّآمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ ثُمَّ اتَّقَوا وَّآمَنُوا ثُمَّ اتَّقَوا وَّأَحْسَنُوا ۗ وَاللَّهُ يُحِبُّ الْمُحْسِنِينَ  [93]

(93) በእነዚያ ባመኑትና በጎ ሥራዎችን በሠሩት ላይ (ክህደትን) በተጠነቀቁና ባመኑ መልካም ሥራዎችንም በሠሩ ከዚያም (የሚያሰክርንና ቁማርን) በተጠነቀቁና ባመኑ ከዚያም (ከተከለከለው ሁሉ) በተጠነቀቁና (ሥራን) ባሳመሩ ጊዜ (ከመከልከሉ በፊት) በተመገቡት ነገር ኃጢአት የለባቸውም፡፡ አላህም በጎ ሠሪዎችን ይወዳል፡፡

(93) There is no blame on those who believe and do righteous deeds for what they consumed before [its prohibition], so long as they fear Allah, believe and do righteous deeds, then they fear Allah [more] and believe, then they fear Allah and do good, for Allah loves those who do good.

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَيَبْلُوَنَّكُمُ اللَّهُ بِشَيْءٍ مِّنَ الصَّيْدِ تَنَالُهُ أَيْدِيكُمْ وَرِمَاحُكُمْ لِيَعْلَمَ اللَّهُ مَن يَخَافُهُ بِالْغَيْبِ ۚ فَمَنِ اعْتَدَىٰ بَعْدَ ذَٰلِكَ فَلَهُ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ  [94]

(94) እናንተ ያመናችሁ ሆይ! (በሐጅ ጊዜ) እጆቻችሁና ጦሮቻችሁ በሚያገኙት ታዳኝ አውሬ አላህ ይሞክራችኋል፡፡ በሩቅ ኾኖ የሚፈራውን ሰው አላህ ሊገልጽ (ይሞክራችኋል)፡፡ ከዚያም በኋላ ወሰንን ያለፈና ያደነ ሰው ለርሱ አሳማሚ ቅጣት አለው፡፡

(94) O you who believe, Allah will surely test you with game within the reach of your hands and spears, so that Allah may distinguish those who fear Him unseen. Whoever transgresses after that, for him there will be a painful punishment.

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا تَقْتُلُوا الصَّيْدَ وَأَنتُمْ حُرُمٌ ۚ وَمَن قَتَلَهُ مِنكُم مُّتَعَمِّدًا فَجَزَاءٌ مِّثْلُ مَا قَتَلَ مِنَ النَّعَمِ يَحْكُمُ بِهِ ذَوَا عَدْلٍ مِّنكُمْ هَدْيًا بَالِغَ الْكَعْبَةِ أَوْ كَفَّارَةٌ طَعَامُ مَسَاكِينَ أَوْ عَدْلُ ذَٰلِكَ صِيَامًا لِّيَذُوقَ وَبَالَ أَمْرِهِ ۗ عَفَا اللَّهُ عَمَّا سَلَفَ ۚ وَمَنْ عَادَ فَيَنتَقِمُ اللَّهُ مِنْهُ ۗ وَاللَّهُ عَزِيزٌ ذُو انتِقَامٍ  [95]

(95) እናንተ ያመናችሁ ሆይ! እናንት በሐጅ ሥራ ውስጥ ስትኾኑ አውሬን አትግደሉ፡፡ ከእናንተም እያወቀ የገደለው ሰው ቅጣቱ ከእናንተ ሁለት የትክክለኛነት ባለቤቶች የሚፈርዱበት የኾነ ወደ ካዕባ ደራሽ መሥዋዕት ሲኾን ከቤት እንስሳዎች የገደለውን ነገር ብጤ መስጠት ወይም ምስኪኖችን ማብላት ወይም የዚህን ልክ መጾም ማካካሻ ነው፡፡ (ይኽም) የሥራውን ከባድ ቅጣት እንዲቀምስ ነው፡፡ (ሳይከለከል በፊት) ካለፈው ነገር አላህ ይቅርታ አደረገ፡፡ (ወደ ጥፋቱም) የተመለሰም ሰው አላህ ከርሱ ይበቀላል፡፡ አላህም አሸናፊ የመበቀል ባለቤት ነው፡፡

(95) O you who believe, do not kill game while you are on pilgrimage. Whoever of you kills it deliberately should compensate by offering its equivalent – as judged by two just men among you – to be offered at the Sacred House, or by feeding the needy, or by fasting its equivalent, so that he may taste the consequence of his deed. Allah has pardoned what has passed, but whoever does it again, Allah will subject him to retribution, for Allah is All-Mighty, Capable of Retribution.

أُحِلَّ لَكُمْ صَيْدُ الْبَحْرِ وَطَعَامُهُ مَتَاعًا لَّكُمْ وَلِلسَّيَّارَةِ ۖ وَحُرِّمَ عَلَيْكُمْ صَيْدُ الْبَرِّ مَا دُمْتُمْ حُرُمًا ۗ وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ الَّذِي إِلَيْهِ تُحْشَرُونَ  [96]

(96) የባሕር ታዳኝና ምግቡ ለእናንተም ለመንገደኞችም መጠቀሚያ ይኾን ዘንድ ለናንተ ተፈቀደ፡፡ በሐጅም ላይ እስካላችሁ ድረስ የየብስ አውሬ በናንተ ላይ እርም ተደረገ፡፡ ያንንም ወደርሱ የምትሰበሰቡበትን አላህን ፍሩ፡፡

(96) It is lawful for you to hunt and eat seafood, as a provision for you and for the travelers. But hunting land animals is forbidden to you as long as you are on pilgrimage. And fear Allah to Whom you will be gathered.

جَعَلَ اللَّهُ الْكَعْبَةَ الْبَيْتَ الْحَرَامَ قِيَامًا لِّلنَّاسِ وَالشَّهْرَ الْحَرَامَ وَالْهَدْيَ وَالْقَلَائِدَ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ لِتَعْلَمُوا أَنَّ اللَّهَ يَعْلَمُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمٌ  [97]

(97) ከዕባን፣ የተከበረውን ቤት፣ ክልክል የኾነውንም ወር፣ መስዋዕቱንና ባለ ምልክቶቹንም መንጋዎች አላህ ለሰዎች መቋቋሚያ አደረገ፡፡ ይህ አላህ በሰማያት ያለውን ሁሉ በምድርም ያለውን ሁሉ የሚያውቅ መኾኑን አላህም ነገሩን ሁሉ ዐዋቂ መኾኑን እንድታውቁ ነው፡፡

(97) Allah has made the Ka‘ba, the Sacred House, a source of stability for people, and also the sacred month, the sacrificial animals and the garlands [by which they are identified]. This is so that you may know that Allah knows all that is in the heavens and all that is on earth, and that Allah is All-Knowing of everything.

اعْلَمُوا أَنَّ اللَّهَ شَدِيدُ الْعِقَابِ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ  [98]

(98) አላህ ቅጣተ ብርቱ መኾኑን አላህም መሓሪ አዛኝ መኾኑን እወቁ፡፡

(98) Know that Allah is severe in punishment and that Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

مَّا عَلَى الرَّسُولِ إِلَّا الْبَلَاغُ ۗ وَاللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ مَا تُبْدُونَ وَمَا تَكْتُمُونَ  [99]

(99) በመልክተኛው ላይ ማድረስ እንጅ ሌላ የለበትም፡፡ አላህም የምትገልጹትን ነገር የምትደብቁትንም ሁሉ ያውቃል፡፡

(99) The Messenger’s duty is only to convey the message; Allah knows what you reveal and what you conceal.

قُل لَّا يَسْتَوِي الْخَبِيثُ وَالطَّيِّبُ وَلَوْ أَعْجَبَكَ كَثْرَةُ الْخَبِيثِ ۚ فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ يَا أُولِي الْأَلْبَابِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ  [100]

(100) «የመጥፎው (ገንዘብ) ብዛት ቢያስደንቃችሁም እንኳ መጥፎውና ጥሩው አይስተካከሉም፡፡ ባለልቦች ሆይ! አላህንም ፍሩ፤ እናንተ ልትድኑ ይከጀላልና፤» በላቸው፡፡

(100) Say, “Evil and good are not equal, even if the abundance of evil may impress you. So fear Allah, O people of understanding, so that you may be successful.”

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا تَسْأَلُوا عَنْ أَشْيَاءَ إِن تُبْدَ لَكُمْ تَسُؤْكُمْ وَإِن تَسْأَلُوا عَنْهَا حِينَ يُنَزَّلُ الْقُرْآنُ تُبْدَ لَكُمْ عَفَا اللَّهُ عَنْهَا ۗ وَاللَّهُ غَفُورٌ حَلِيمٌ  [101]

(101) እናንተ ያመናችሁ ሆይ! ለእናንተ ቢገለጹ ከሚያስከፏችሁ ነገሮች አትጠይቁ፡፡ ቁርኣንም በሚወርድበት ጊዜ ከእርሷ ብትጠይቁ ለናንተ ትገለጻለች፤ ከእርሷ አላህ ይቅርታ አደረገ፡፡ አላህም መሓሪ ታጋሽ ነው፡፡

(101) O you who believe, do not ask about things which, if they are made known to you, would only cause you hardship. If you inquire about them while the Qur’an is being revealed, they will be made known to you. Allah has pardoned you for it. Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Forbearing.

قَدْ سَأَلَهَا قَوْمٌ مِّن قَبْلِكُمْ ثُمَّ أَصْبَحُوا بِهَا كَافِرِينَ  [102]

(102) ከናንተም በፊት ሕዝቦች በእርግጥ ጠየቋት፡፡ ከዚያም በእርሷ (ምክንያት) ከሓዲዎች ኾኑ፡፡

(102) Some people before you asked such questions, then they became disbelievers as a result of that.

مَا جَعَلَ اللَّهُ مِن بَحِيرَةٍ وَلَا سَائِبَةٍ وَلَا وَصِيلَةٍ وَلَا حَامٍ ۙ وَلَٰكِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا يَفْتَرُونَ عَلَى اللَّهِ الْكَذِبَ ۖ وَأَكْثَرُهُمْ لَا يَعْقِلُونَ  [103]

(103) ከበሒራ ከሳኢባም ከወሲላም ከሓምም አላህ ምንንም (ሕግ) አላደረገም፡፡ ግን እነዚያ የካዱት በአላህ ላይ ውሸትን ይቀጣጥፋሉ፡፡ አብዛኞቻቸውም አያውቁም፡፡

(103) Allah did not ordain any such thing as the Bahīrah, Sā’ibah, Wasīlah, and Hām [camels dedicated to idols]. Rather those who disbelieve fabricate lies against Allah, and most of them do not understand.

وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ تَعَالَوْا إِلَىٰ مَا أَنزَلَ اللَّهُ وَإِلَى الرَّسُولِ قَالُوا حَسْبُنَا مَا وَجَدْنَا عَلَيْهِ آبَاءَنَا ۚ أَوَلَوْ كَانَ آبَاؤُهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ شَيْئًا وَلَا يَهْتَدُونَ  [104]

(104) ለእነርሱም አላህ ወደ አወረደውና ወደ መልክተኛው ኑ በተባሉ ጊዜ «አባቶቻችንን በርሱ ላይ ያገኘንበት ነገር ይበቃናል» ይላሉ፡፡ አባቶቻቸው ምንም የማያውቁና የማይመሩ ቢኾኑም (ይኸንን ማለት ይበቃቸዋልን)

(104) When it is said to them, “Come to what Allah has sent down and to the Messenger,” they say, “What we have found our forefathers upon is sufficient for us.” Even though their forefathers knew nothing nor were they guided?

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا عَلَيْكُمْ أَنفُسَكُمْ ۖ لَا يَضُرُّكُم مَّن ضَلَّ إِذَا اهْتَدَيْتُمْ ۚ إِلَى اللَّهِ مَرْجِعُكُمْ جَمِيعًا فَيُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ  [105]

(105) እናንተ ያመናችሁ ሆይ! ነፍሶቻችሁን (ከእሳት) ያዙ፤ (ጠብቁ)፡፡ በተመራችሁ ጊዜ የተሳሳተ ሰው አይጎዳችሁም፡፡ የሁላችሁም መመለሻ ወደ አላህ ብቻ ነው፡፡ ትሠሩትም የነበራችሁትን ሁሉ ይነግራችኋል፡፡

(105) O you who believe, take care of your own selves. Those who have gone astray will not harm you as long as you are guided. To Allah you will all return, then He will inform you of what you used to do.

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا شَهَادَةُ بَيْنِكُمْ إِذَا حَضَرَ أَحَدَكُمُ الْمَوْتُ حِينَ الْوَصِيَّةِ اثْنَانِ ذَوَا عَدْلٍ مِّنكُمْ أَوْ آخَرَانِ مِنْ غَيْرِكُمْ إِنْ أَنتُمْ ضَرَبْتُمْ فِي الْأَرْضِ فَأَصَابَتْكُم مُّصِيبَةُ الْمَوْتِ ۚ تَحْبِسُونَهُمَا مِن بَعْدِ الصَّلَاةِ فَيُقْسِمَانِ بِاللَّهِ إِنِ ارْتَبْتُمْ لَا نَشْتَرِي بِهِ ثَمَنًا وَلَوْ كَانَ ذَا قُرْبَىٰ ۙ وَلَا نَكْتُمُ شَهَادَةَ اللَّهِ إِنَّا إِذًا لَّمِنَ الْآثِمِينَ  [106]

(106) እናንተ ያመናችሁ ሆይ! አንዳችሁን ሞት በመጣበት ጊዜ በኑዛዜ ወቅት የመካከላችሁ ምስክርነት ከእናንተ ሁለት የትክክለኛነት ባለቤቶች የኾኑ ሰዎች ወይም በምድር ብትጓዙና የሞት አደጋ ብትነካችሁ ከሌሎቻችሁ የኾኑ ሁለት ሌሎች ሰዎች (መመስከር) ነው፡፡ ብትጠራጠሩ ከሶላት (ከዐሱር) በኋላ ታቆሟቸውና (የሚመሰክርለት ሰው) የዝምድና ባለቤት ቢኾንም እንኳ «በርሱ ዋጋን አንገዛም የአላህንም ምስክርነት አንደብቅም፤ ያን ጊዜ (ደብቀን ብንገኝ) እኛ ከኃጢአተኞች ነን» ብለው በአላህ ስም ይምላሉ፡፡

(106) O you who believe, when death approaches one of you, call upon two just Muslim men as witnesses when you make a bequest, or two non-Muslims if you are afflicted with death while you are traveling. But if you have some doubt, keep them both after prayer and let them swear by Allah, “We will not trade our testimony for any price, even in favor of a close relative, nor will we conceal the testimony enjoined by Allah, for then we would surely be among the sinners.”

فَإِنْ عُثِرَ عَلَىٰ أَنَّهُمَا اسْتَحَقَّا إِثْمًا فَآخَرَانِ يَقُومَانِ مَقَامَهُمَا مِنَ الَّذِينَ اسْتَحَقَّ عَلَيْهِمُ الْأَوْلَيَانِ فَيُقْسِمَانِ بِاللَّهِ لَشَهَادَتُنَا أَحَقُّ مِن شَهَادَتِهِمَا وَمَا اعْتَدَيْنَا إِنَّا إِذًا لَّمِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ  [107]

(107) እነርሱም ኃጢአትን (በውሸት መስክረው) የተገቡ መኾናቸው ቢታወቅ ከእነዚያ (ለሟቹ) ቅርቦች በመኾን (ውርስ) ከተገባቸው የኾኑ ሁለት ሌሎች ሰዎች በስፍራቸው (በምስክሮች ስፍራ) ይቆሙና «ምስክርነታችን ከእነሱ ምስክርነት ይልቅ እውነት ነው ወሰንም አላለፍንም ያን ጊዜ እኛ ከበዳዮች ነን» ሲሉ በአላህ ይምላሉ፡፡

(107) If they are found guilty [of false testimony], let two others take their place, nearest in kin from among those who claim a lawful right, and let them swear by Allah, “Our testimony is more truthful than their testimony, and we have not transgressed, for then we would surely be among the wrongdoers.”

ذَٰلِكَ أَدْنَىٰ أَن يَأْتُوا بِالشَّهَادَةِ عَلَىٰ وَجْهِهَا أَوْ يَخَافُوا أَن تُرَدَّ أَيْمَانٌ بَعْدَ أَيْمَانِهِمْ ۗ وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَاسْمَعُوا ۗ وَاللَّهُ لَا يَهْدِي الْقَوْمَ الْفَاسِقِينَ  [108]

(108) ይህ ምስክርነትን በተገቢዋ ላይ ለማምጣታቸው ወይም ከመሐላዎቻቸው በኋላ የመሐላዎችን (ወደ ወራሾች) መመለስን ለመፍራት በጣም የቀረበ ነው፡፡ አላህንም ፍሩ፡፡ ስሙም፡፡ አላህም አመጸኞች ሕዝቦችን አይመራም፡፡

(108) That is more likely that they will give true testimony, or else they will fear that their oaths could be refuted by oaths of the others afterwards. Fear Allah and listen [obediently], for Allah does not guide the rebellious people.

يَوْمَ يَجْمَعُ اللَّهُ الرُّسُلَ فَيَقُولُ مَاذَا أُجِبْتُمْ ۖ قَالُوا لَا عِلْمَ لَنَا ۖ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ عَلَّامُ الْغُيُوبِ  [109]

(109) አላህ መልክተኞቹን የሚሰበስብበትንና «ምን መልስ ተሰጣችሁ» የሚልበትን ቀን (አስታውስ)፡፡ «ለእኛ ምንም ዕውቀት የለንም አንተ ሩቆችን በጣም ዐዋቂ አንተ ብቻ ነህ» ይላሉ፡፡

(109) On the Day when Allah will gather the messengers and say, “What response did you receive?” They will say, “We have no knowledge. You alone are the All-Knower of all unseen.”

إِذْ قَالَ اللَّهُ يَا عِيسَى ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ اذْكُرْ نِعْمَتِي عَلَيْكَ وَعَلَىٰ وَالِدَتِكَ إِذْ أَيَّدتُّكَ بِرُوحِ الْقُدُسِ تُكَلِّمُ النَّاسَ فِي الْمَهْدِ وَكَهْلًا ۖ وَإِذْ عَلَّمْتُكَ الْكِتَابَ وَالْحِكْمَةَ وَالتَّوْرَاةَ وَالْإِنجِيلَ ۖ وَإِذْ تَخْلُقُ مِنَ الطِّينِ كَهَيْئَةِ الطَّيْرِ بِإِذْنِي فَتَنفُخُ فِيهَا فَتَكُونُ طَيْرًا بِإِذْنِي ۖ وَتُبْرِئُ الْأَكْمَهَ وَالْأَبْرَصَ بِإِذْنِي ۖ وَإِذْ تُخْرِجُ الْمَوْتَىٰ بِإِذْنِي ۖ وَإِذْ كَفَفْتُ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ عَنكَ إِذْ جِئْتَهُم بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ فَقَالَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِنْهُمْ إِنْ هَٰذَا إِلَّا سِحْرٌ مُّبِينٌ  [110]

(110) አላህ በሚል ጊዜ (አስታውስ)፡- «የመርየም ልጅ ዒሳ ሆይ! በአንተና በእናትህ ላይ (የዋልኩላችሁን) ጸጋዬን አስታውስ፡፡ በሕፃንነትና በከፈኒሳነት (የበሰለ ሰው ኾነህ) ሰዎችን የምትናገር ስትኾን በቅዱስ መንፈስ (በገብሬል) ባበረታሁህ ጊዜ፤ ጽሕፈትንና ጥበብንም ተውራትንና ኢንጂልንም ባስተማርኩህ ጊዜ፣ ከጭቃም የወፍ ቅርጽ ብጤ በፈቃዴ በምትሠራና በውስጧ በምትነፋ በፈቃዴም ወፍ በምትኾን ጊዜ፣ ዕውርም ኾኖ የተወለደንና ለምጻምንም በፈቃዴ በምታሽር ጊዜ፣ ሙታንንም በፈቃዴ (ከመቃብራቸው) በምታወጣ ጊዜ፣ የእስራኤልንም ልጆች በተአምራት በመጣህባቸውና ከእነሱ እነዚያ የካዱት ይህ ግልጽ ድግምት እንጅ ሌላ አይደለም ባሉ ጊዜ፣ (ሊገድሉህ ሲያስቡህ) ከአንተ ላይ በከለከልኩልህም ጊዜ (ያደረግሁልህን ውለታ አስታውስ)፡፡»

(110) Then Allah will say, “O Jesus, son of Mary, remember My favor upon you and upon your mother when I supported you with the Holy Spirit – as you spoke to people in the cradle and in maturity. I taught you writing, wisdom, the Torah and the Gospel. You made something from clay in the shape of a bird by My permission, and breathed into it, and it became a bird by My permission. You healed the born-blind and lepers by My permission, and you brought the dead to life by My permission. I restrained the Children of Israel from [killing] you when you came to them with clear signs, but the disbelievers among them said, “This is nothing but clear magic.”

وَإِذْ أَوْحَيْتُ إِلَى الْحَوَارِيِّينَ أَنْ آمِنُوا بِي وَبِرَسُولِي قَالُوا آمَنَّا وَاشْهَدْ بِأَنَّنَا مُسْلِمُونَ  [111]

(111) ወደ ሐዋርያትም «በኔና በመልክተኛዬ እመኑ» በማለት ባዘዝኩ ጊዜ (አስታውስ)፡፡ «አመንን፤ እኛ ሙስሊሞች መኾናችንን መስክር» አሉ፡፡

(111) And [remember] when I inspired the disciples, “Believe in Me and in My messenger [Jesus].” They said, “We believe, and bear witness that we submit to Allah [as Muslims].”

إِذْ قَالَ الْحَوَارِيُّونَ يَا عِيسَى ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ هَلْ يَسْتَطِيعُ رَبُّكَ أَن يُنَزِّلَ عَلَيْنَا مَائِدَةً مِّنَ السَّمَاءِ ۖ قَالَ اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ  [112]

(112) ሐዋርያት፡- «የመርየም ልጅ ዒሳ ሆይ! ጌታህ በእኛ ላይ ከሰማይ ማእድን ሊያወርድልን ይችላልን» ባሉ ጊዜ (አስታውስ)፡፡ «ምእመናን እንደ ኾናችሁ አላህን ፍሩ» አላቸው፡፡

(112) And [remember] when the disciples said, “O Jesus, son of Mary, can your Lord send down to us a table [spread with food] from the heaven?” He said, “Fear Allah, if you are believers.”

قَالُوا نُرِيدُ أَن نَّأْكُلَ مِنْهَا وَتَطْمَئِنَّ قُلُوبُنَا وَنَعْلَمَ أَن قَدْ صَدَقْتَنَا وَنَكُونَ عَلَيْهَا مِنَ الشَّاهِدِينَ  [113]

(113) «ከእርሷ ልንበላ ልቦቻችንም ሊረኩ እውነት ያልከንም መኾንህን ልናውቅና በእርሷም ላይ ከመስካሪዎች ልንኾን እንፈልጋለን» አሉ፡፡

(113) They said, “We wish to eat from it and let our hearts be reassured and to know that you told us the truth, and to be witnesses to it.”

قَالَ عِيسَى ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّنَا أَنزِلْ عَلَيْنَا مَائِدَةً مِّنَ السَّمَاءِ تَكُونُ لَنَا عِيدًا لِّأَوَّلِنَا وَآخِرِنَا وَآيَةً مِّنكَ ۖ وَارْزُقْنَا وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ الرَّازِقِينَ  [114]

(114) የመርየም ልጅ ዒሳ አለ፡- «ጌታችን አላህ ሆይ! ለእኛ ለመጀመሪያዎቻችንና ለመጨረሻዎቻችን ባዕል (መደሰቻ) የምትኾንን ከአንተም ተአምር የኾነችን ማእድ ከሰማይ በእኛ ላይ አውርድ፡፡ ስጠንም፡፡ አንተ ከሰጪዎች ሁሉ በላጭ ነህና፡፡»

(114) Jesus, son of Mary, said, “O Allah, our Lord, send down to us from heaven a table as a feast for us – for our present and future generations – and as a sign from You; and grant us provision, for You are the Best of Providers.”

قَالَ اللَّهُ إِنِّي مُنَزِّلُهَا عَلَيْكُمْ ۖ فَمَن يَكْفُرْ بَعْدُ مِنكُمْ فَإِنِّي أُعَذِّبُهُ عَذَابًا لَّا أُعَذِّبُهُ أَحَدًا مِّنَ الْعَالَمِينَ  [115]

(115) አላህ፡- «እኔ (ማእድዋን) በናንተ ላይ አውራጅዋ ነኝ፡፡ በኋላም ከእናንተ የሚክድ ሰው እኔ ከዓለማት አንድንም የማልቀጣውን ቅጣት እቀጣዋለሁ» አለ፡፡

(115) Allah said, “I will send it down to you, but if anyone among you disbelieves afterwards, I will subject him to a punishment that I have never punished anyone in the world.”

وَإِذْ قَالَ اللَّهُ يَا عِيسَى ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ أَأَنتَ قُلْتَ لِلنَّاسِ اتَّخِذُونِي وَأُمِّيَ إِلَٰهَيْنِ مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ ۖ قَالَ سُبْحَانَكَ مَا يَكُونُ لِي أَنْ أَقُولَ مَا لَيْسَ لِي بِحَقٍّ ۚ إِن كُنتُ قُلْتُهُ فَقَدْ عَلِمْتَهُ ۚ تَعْلَمُ مَا فِي نَفْسِي وَلَا أَعْلَمُ مَا فِي نَفْسِكَ ۚ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ عَلَّامُ الْغُيُوبِ  [116]

(116) አላህም፡- «የመርየም ልጅ ዒሳ ሆይ! አንተ ለሰዎቹ፡- እኔንና እናቴን ከአላህ ሌላ ሁለት አምላኮች አድርጋችሁ ያዙ ብላሃልን» በሚለው ጊዜ (አስታውስ)፡፡ «ጥራት ይገባህ፤ ለእኔ ተገቢዬ ያልኾነን ነገር ማለት ለኔ አይገባኝም፡፡ ብዬው እንደ ኾነም በእርግጥ ዐውቀኸዋል፡፡ በነፍሴ ውስጥ ያለውን ሁሉ ታውቃለህ፡፡ ግን አንተ ዘንድ ያለውን አላውቅም፡፡ አንተ ሩቆችን ሁሉ በጣም ዐዋቂ አንተ ብቻ ነህና» ይላል፡፡

(116) When Allah will say, “O Jesus, son of Mary, did you tell people, ‘Take me and my mother as gods besides Allah?’ He will say, ‘Glory be to You! It is not for me to say what I have no right. Had I said so, You would have surely known it. You know what is within myself, whereas I do not know what is within Yourself. Indeed, You are the All-Knower of all unseen.’”

مَا قُلْتُ لَهُمْ إِلَّا مَا أَمَرْتَنِي بِهِ أَنِ اعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ رَبِّي وَرَبَّكُمْ ۚ وَكُنتُ عَلَيْهِمْ شَهِيدًا مَّا دُمْتُ فِيهِمْ ۖ فَلَمَّا تَوَفَّيْتَنِي كُنتَ أَنتَ الرَّقِيبَ عَلَيْهِمْ ۚ وَأَنتَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ شَهِيدٌ  [117]

(117) «በእርሱ ያዘዝከኝን ቃል ጌታዬንና ጌታችሁን አላህን ተገዙ ማለትን እንጂ ለነርሱ ሌላ አላልኩም፡፡ በውስጣቸውም እስካለሁ ድረስ በነርሱ ላይ ተጣባበቂ ነበርኩ፡፡ በተሞላኸኝም ጊዜ (ባነሳኸኝ ጊዜ) አንተ በነሱ ላይ ተጠባባቂ ነበርክ፡፡ አንተም በነገሩ ሁሉ ላይ ዐዋቂ ነህ፡፡»

(117) I did not tell them except what You ordered me – ‘Worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord.’ I was witness over them as long as I was among them. But when You took me up, You Yourself were the Watcher over them, and You are a Witness over all things.

إِن تُعَذِّبْهُمْ فَإِنَّهُمْ عِبَادُكَ ۖ وَإِن تَغْفِرْ لَهُمْ فَإِنَّكَ أَنتَ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ  [118]

(118) «ብትቀጣቸው እነርሱ ባሮችህ ናቸው፡፡ ለነርሱ ብትምርም አንተ አሸናፊው ጥበበኛው ነህ» (ይላል)፡፡

(118) If You punish them, they are Your slaves; if You forgive them, You are indeed the All-Mighty, the All-Wise.”

قَالَ اللَّهُ هَٰذَا يَوْمُ يَنفَعُ الصَّادِقِينَ صِدْقُهُمْ ۚ لَهُمْ جَنَّاتٌ تَجْرِي مِن تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا أَبَدًا ۚ رَّضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمْ وَرَضُوا عَنْهُ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ الْفَوْزُ الْعَظِيمُ  [119]

(119) አላህ ይላል፡- «ይህ እውነተኞችን እውነታቸው የሚጠቅምበት ቀን ነው፡፡ ለእነርሱ በሥሮቻቸው ወንዞች የሚፈሱባቸው በውስጣቸው ሁልጊዜ ዘውታሪዎች ሲኾኑ የሚኖሩባቸው ገነቶች አሉዋቸው፡፡ አላህ ከእነሱ ወደደ፤ እነርሱም ከእርሱ ወደዱ፤ ይህ ታላቅ ዕድል ነው፡፡»

(119) Allah will say, “This is the Day when the truthfulness of the truthful will benefit them; they will have gardens under which rivers flow, abiding therein forever. Allah is pleased with them and they are pleased with Him. That is the supreme triumph.”

لِلَّهِ مُلْكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَا فِيهِنَّ ۚ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ  [120]

(120) የሰማያትና የምድር በውስጣቸውም ያለው ሁሉ ንግሥና የአላህ ብቻ ነው፡፡ እሱም በነገሩ ሁሉ ላይ ቻይ ነው፡፡

(120) To Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and earth and all that is between them, and He is Most Capable of all things.
