55 – Ar-Rahmaan
| (1) አል-ረሕማን፤ | (1) The Most Compassionate, |
| (2) ቁርኣንን አስተማረ፡፡ | (2) has taught the Qur’an, |
| (3) ሰውን ፈጠረ፡፡ | (3) He created man, |
| (4) መናገርን አስተማረው፡፡ | (4) and taught him speech. |
| (5) ፀሐይና ጨረቃ በተወሰነ ልክ (ይኼዳሉ)፡፡ | (5) The sun and the moon follow their precise courses, |
| (6) ሐረግና ዛፍም (ለእርሱ) ይሰግዳሉ፡፡ | (6) and the stars and trees prostrate [to Allah]. |
| (7) ሰማይንም አጓናት፡፡ ትክክለኛነትንም ደነገገ፡፡ | (7) He raised the heaven and enjoined justice |
| (8) በሚዛን (ስትመዝኑ) እንዳትበድሉ፡፡ | (8) so that you may not transgress the limits of justice. |
| (9) መመዘንንም በትክክል መዝኑ፡፡ ተመዛኙንም አታጉድሉ፡፡ | (9) Therefore establish weights in justice, and do not give short measure. |
| (10) ምድርንም ለፍጡሩ አደላደላት፡፡ | (10) He has spread out the earth for all creatures, |
| (11) በውስጧ እሸት ባለ ሺፋኖች የኾኑ ዘንባባዎችም ያሉባት ስትኾን፡፡ | (11) in which there are fruits and palm trees with date stalks, |
| (12) የገለባ ባለቤት የኾነ ቅንጣትም፡፡ ባለ መልካም መዐዛ ቅጠሎችም (ያሉባት ስትኾን)፡፡ | (12) and grain having chaff, and fragrant plants. |
| (13) (ሰዎችና ጋኔኖች ሆይ!) ከጌታችሁም ጸጋዎች በየትኛው ታስተባብላላችሁ? | (13) Then which of the favors of your Lord will you [men and jinn] deny? |
| (14) ሰውን እንደ ሸክላ ከሚቅጨለጨል ደረቅ ጭቃ ፈጠረው፡፡ | (14) He created man from dry clay like pottery, |
| (15) ጃንንም ከእሳት ከኾነ ነበልባል ፈጠረው፡፡ | (15) and He created the jinn from a smokeless flame of fire. |
| (16) ከጌታችሁም ጸጋዎች በየትኛው ታስተባብላላችሁ? | (16) Then which of the favors of your Lord will you [men and jinn] deny? |
| (17) የሁለቱ ምሥራቆች ጌታ፤ የሁለቱ ምዕራቦችም ጌታ ነው፡፡ | (17) [He is] Lord of the two sunrises and Lord of the two sunsets. |
| (18) ከጌታችሁም ጸጋዎች በየትኛው ታስተባብላላችሁ? | (18) Then which of the favors of your Lord will you [men and jinn] deny? |
| (19) ሁለቱን ባሕሮች የሚገናኙ ሲኾኑ ለቀቃቸው፡፡ | (19) He merges the two seas [of fresh and salty water] meeting together, |
| (20) (እንዳይዋሐዱ) በመካከላቸው ጋራጅ አልለ፡፡ (አንዱ ባንዱ ላይ) ወሰን አያልፉም፡፡ | (20) yet between them is a barrier so that they do not cross. |
| (21) ከጌታችሁም ጸጋዎች በየትኛው ታሰተባብላላችሁ?› | (21) Then which of the favors of your Lord will you [men and jinn] deny? |
| (22) ሉልና መርጃን ከሁለቱ ይወጣል፡፡ | (22) Out of both of them emerge pearls and coral. |
| (23) ከጌታችሁም ጸጋዎች በየትኛው ታስተባብላላችሁ? | (23) Then which of the favors of your Lord will you [men and jinn] deny? |
| (24) እንደ ጋራዎች ኾነው በባሕር ውስጥ የተሠሩት ተንሻለዮቹም (ታንኳዎች) የእርሱ ናቸው፡፡ | (24) To Him belong the sailing ships raised up in the sea like mountains. |
| (25) ከጌታችሁም ጸጋዎች በየትኛው ታስተባብላላችሁ? | (25) Then which of the favors of your Lord will you [men and jinn] deny? |
| (26) በእርሷ (በምድር) ላይ ያለው ሁሉ ጠፊ ነው፡፡ | (26) Everyone on earth will perish, |
| (27) የልቅናና የልግሥና ባለቤት የኾነው የጌታህ ፊትም ይቀራል፡፡ (አይጠፋም)፡፡ | (27) but there will remain the Face of your Lord, full of Majesty and Honor. |
| (28) ከጌታችሁም ጸጋዎች በየትኛው ታስተባብላላችሁ? | (28) Then which of the favors of your Lord will you [men and jinn] deny? |
| (29) በሰማያትና በምድር ውስጥ ያሉት ሁሉ ይለምኑታል፡፡ በየቀኑ ሁሉ እርሱ በሥራ ላይ ነው፡፡ | (29) All those in the heavens and earth ask of Him; every day He is engaged in some matters. |
| (30) ከጌታችሁም ጸጋዎች በየትኛው ታሰተባብላላችሁ?› | (30) Then which of the favors of your Lord will you [men and jinn] deny? |
| (31) እናንተ ሁለት ከባዶች (ሰዎችና ጋኔኖች) ሆይ! ለእናንተ (መቆጣጠር) በእርግጥ እናስባለን፡፡ | (31) We will attend to you, O two multitudes [men and jinn]. |
| (32) ከጌታችሁም ጸጋዎች በየትኛው ታስተባብላላችሁ? | (32) Then which of the favors of your Lord will you [men and jinn] deny? |
| (33) የጋኔንና የሰው ጭፍሮች ሆይ! ከሰማያትና ከምድር ቀበሌዎች መውጣትን ብትችሉ ውጡ፡፡ በስልጣን እንጅ አትወጡም፡፡ (ግን ስልጣን የላችሁም) | (33) O assembly of jinn and mankind, if you are able to pass beyond the realms of the heavens and earth, then pass; you cannot pass without [Our] authority. |
| (34) ከጌታችሁም ጸጋዎች በየትኛው ታስተባብላላችሁ? | (34) Then which of the favors of your Lord will you [men and jinn] deny? |
| (35) በሁለታችሁም ላይ ከእሳት ነበልባል፣ ጭስም ይላክባችኋል፡፡ (ሁለታችሁም) አትርረዱምም፡፡ | (35) There will be sent against you flames of fire and smoke, and you will not be able to defend yourselves. |
| (36) ከጌታችሁም ጸጋዎች በየትኛው ታስተባብላላችሁ? | (36) Then which of the favors of your Lord will you [men and jinn] deny? |
| (37) ሰማይም በተሰነጠቀችና እንደ ጽጌረዳ፣ እንደታረበ ቆዳ በኾነች ጊዜ፤ (ጭንቁን ምን አበረታው)፡፡ | (37) When the heaven is split asunder and becomes crimson, like red hide. |
| (38) ከጌታችሁም ጸጋዎች በየትኛው ታስተባብላላችሁ? | (38) Then which of the favors of your Lord will you [men and jinn] deny? |
| (39) በዚያም ቀን ሰውም ጃንም ከኃጢኣቱ ገና አይጠየቅም፡፡ | (39) On that Day no human or jinn will be asked about his sin. |
| (40) ከጌታችሁም ጸጋዎች በየትኛው ታስተባብላላችሁ? | (40) Then which of the favors of your Lord will you [men and jinn] deny? |
| (41) ከሓዲዎች በምልክታቸው ይታወቃሉ፡፡ አናቶቻቸውንና ጫማዎቻቸውንም ይያዛሉ፡፡ | (41) The wicked will be known by their marks, and will be seized by their forelocks and their feet. |
| (42) ከጌታችሁም ጸጋዎች በየትኛው ታስተባብላላችሁ፡፡ | (42) Then which of the favors of your Lord will you [men and jinn] deny? |
| (43) ይህቺ ያቺ አመጸኞች በእርሷ ያስተባብሉባት የነበረችው ገሀነም ናት (ይባላሉ)፡፡ | (43) [They will be told] “This is the Hell that the wicked used to deny.” |
| (44) በእርሷና በጣም ሞቃት በኾነ ፍል ውሃ መካከል ይመላለሳሉ፡፡ | (44) They will go round between it and scalding water. |
| (45) ከጌታችሁም ጸጋዎች በየትኛው ታስተባብላላችሁ? | (45) Then which of the favors of your Lord will you [men and jinn] deny? |
| (46) በጌታውም ፊት መቆምን ለፈራ ሰው ሁለት ገነቶች አልሉት፡፡ | (46) For those who fear of standing before their Lord will be two Gardens. |
| (47) ከጌታችሁም ጸጋዎች በየትኛው ታስተባብላላችሁ? | (47) Then which of the favors of your Lord will you [men and jinn] deny? |
| (48) የቀንዘሎች ባለ ቤቶች የኾኑ (ገነቶች አልሉት)፡፡ | (48) Shaded by spreading branches. |
| (49) ከጌታችሁም ጸጋዎች በየትኛው ታስተባብላላችሁ? | (49) Then which of the favors of your Lord will you [men and jinn] deny? |
| (50) በሁለቱ ውስጥ የሚፈስሱ ሁለት ምንጮች አልሉ፡፡ | (50) In each there are two flowing springs. |
| (51) ከጌታችሁም ጸጋዎች በየትኛው ታስተባብላላችሁ? | (51) Then which of the favors of your Lord will you [men and jinn] deny? |
| (52) በሁለቱ ውስጥ ከፍራፍሬዎች ሁሉ ሁለት ዓይነቶች (እርጥብና ደረቅ) አልሉ፡፡ | (52) In each there are two kinds of every fruit. |
| (53) ከጌታችሁም ጸጋዎች በየትኛው ታስተባብላላችሁ? | (53) Then which of the favors of your Lord will you [men and jinn] deny? |
| (54) የውስጥ ጉስጉሳቸው ከወፍራም ሐር በኾኑ ምንጣፎች ላይ የተመቻቹ ሲኾኑ (ይንፈላሰሳሉ)፡፡ የሁለቱም ገነቶች ፍሬ (ለለቃሚ) ቅርብ ነው፡፡ | (54) They will recline on couches lined with rich brocade, with the fruits of both gardens within reach. |
| (55) ከጌታችሁም ጸጋዎች በየትኛው ታስተባብላላችሁ? | (55) Then which of the favors of your Lord will you [men and jinn] deny? |
| (56) በውስጣቸው ከበፊታቸው (ከባሎቻቸው በፊት) ሰውም ጃንም ያልገሰሳቸው ዓይኖቻቸውን (በባሎቻቸው ላይ) አሳጣሪዎች (ሴቶች) አልሉ፡፡ | (56) In them there will be maidens of restrained gaze, untouched before them by any man or jinn. |
| (57) ከጌታችሁም ጸጋዎች በየትኛው ታስተባብላላችሁ? | (57) Then which of the favors of your Lord will you [men and jinn] deny? |
| (58) ልክ ያቁትና መርጃን ይመስላሉ፡፡ | (58) As if they were rubies and pearls. |
| (59) ከጌታችሁም ጸጋዎቸ በየትኛው ታስተባብላላችሁ? | (59) Then which of the favors of your Lord will you [men and jinn] deny? |
| (60) የበጎ ሥራ ዋጋ በጎ እንጅ ሌላ ነውን? | (60) Is the reward for goodness anything but goodness? |
| (61) ከጌታችሁም ጸጋዎች በየትኛው ታስተባብላላችሁ? | (61) Then which of the favors of your Lord will you [men and jinn] deny? |
| (62) ከሁለቱ ገነቶችም ሌላ ሁለት ገነቶች አልሉ፡፡ | (62) And besides these two there will be two other gardens. |
| (63) ከጌታችሁም ጸጋዎች በየትኛው ታስተባብላላችሁ?› | (63) Then which of the favors of your Lord will you [men and jinn] deny? |
| (64) ከልምላሜያቸው የተነሳ ወደ ጥቁረት ያዘነበሉ ናቸው፡፡ | (64) Both of deepest green. |
| (65) ከጌታችሁም ጸጋዎች በየትኛው ታስተባብላላችሁ? | (65) Then which of the favors of your Lord will you [men and jinn] deny? |
| (66) በውስጣቸው ሁለት የሚንፏፉ ምንጮች አልሉ፡፡ | (66) In each there are two gushing springs. |
| (67) ከጌታችሁም ጸጋዎች በየትኛው ታስተባብላላችሁ? | (67) Then which of the favors of your Lord will you [men and jinn] deny? |
| (68) በውስጣቸው ፍራፍሬ፣ ዘምባባም፣ ሩማንም አልለ፡፡ | (68) In each there are fruits, palm trees, and pomegranates. |
| (69) ከጌታችሁም ጸጋዎች በየትኛው ታስተባብላላችሁ? | (69) Then which of the favors of your Lord will you [men and jinn] deny? |
| (70) በውስጣቸው ጠባየ መልካሞች መልክ ውቦች (ሴቶች) አልሉ፡፡ | (70) In them there are beautiful noble women. |
| (71) ከጌታችሁም ጸጋዎች በየትኛው ታስተባብላላችሁ? | (71) Then which of the favors of your Lord will you [men and jinn] deny? |
| (72) በድንኳኖች ውስጥ የተጨጎሉ የዓይኖቻቸው ጥቁረትና ንጣት ደማቅ የኾኑ ናቸው፡፡ | (72) Maidens with gorgeous eyes, secluded in pavilions. |
| (73) ከጌታችሁም ጸጋዎች በየትኛው ታስተባብላላችሁ? | (73) Then which of the favors of your Lord will you [men and jinn] deny? |
| (74) ከነርሱ በፊት ሰውም ጃንም አልገሰሳቸውም፡፡ | (74) No human or jinn has ever touched them before. |
| (75) ከጌታችሁም ጸጋዎች በየትኛው ታስተባበላላችሁ? | (75) Then which of the favors of your Lord will you [men and jinn] deny? |
| (76) በሚያረገርጉ አረንጓዴ ምንጣፎችና በሚያማምሩ ስጋጃዎች ላይ የተደላደሉ ሲኾኑ (ይቀመጣሉ)፡፡ | (76) [They will be] reclining on green cushions and splendid carpets. |
| (77) ከጌታችሁም ጸጋዎች በየትኛው ታስተባብላላችሁ? | (77) Then which of the favors of your Lord will you [men and jinn] deny? |
| (78) የግርማና የመክበር ባለቤት የኾነው ጌታህ ስም ተባረከ፡፡ | (78) Blessed is the Name of your Lord, the Lord of Majesty and Honor. |
