81 – At-Takwir
| (1) ፀሐይ በተጠቀለለች ጊዜ፤ | (1) When the sun is wrapped up in darkness, |
| (2) ከዋክብትም በረገፉ ጊዜ፤ | (2) and when the stars are scattered, |
| (3) ተራራዎችም በተነዱ ጊዜ፤ | (3) and when the mountains are vanished, |
| (4) የዐሥር ወር እርጉዞች ግመሎችም (ያለጠባቂ) በተተዉ ጊዜ፤ | (4) and when pregnant camels are left unattended, |
| (5) እንስሳትም ሁሉ በተሰበሰቡ ጊዜ፤ | (5) and when wild beasts are gathered, |
| (6) ባሕሮችም በተቃጠሉ ጊዜ፤ | (6) and when the seas are set on fire, |
| (7) ነፍሶችም (በየአካሎቻቸው) በተቆራኙ ጊዜ፤ | (7) and when the souls are sorted, |
| (8) በሕይወቷ የተቀበረችውም ሴት ልጅ በተጠየቀች ጊዜ፤ | (8) and when the baby girl buried alive is asked, |
| (9) በምን ወንጀል እንደ ተገደለች፤ | (9) for what crime she was killed, |
| (10) ጽሑፎችም በተዘረጉ ጊዜ፤ | (10) and when records of deeds are spread open, |
| (11) ሰማይም በተገሸለጠች ጊዜ፤ | (11) and when the sky is stripped away, |
| (12) ገሀነምም በተነደደች ጊዜ፤ | (12) and when the Blazing Fire is flared up, |
| (13) ገነትም በተቀረበች ጊዜ፤ | (13) and when Paradise is brought near – |
| (14) ነፍስ ሁሉ (ከሥራ) ያቀረበችውን ታውቃለች፤ | (14) then every soul will know what it has brought about. |
| (15) ተመላሾችም በኾኑት (ዐዋድያት) እምላለሁ፡፡ | (15) I swear by the receding stars, |
| (16) ኺያጆች ገቢዎች በኾኑት (ከዋክብት)፡፡ | (16) that rise and hide, |
| (17) በሌሊቱም (ጨለማውን) በጠነሰሰ ጊዜ፤ | (17) and by the night as it departs, |
| (18) በንጋቱም (በብርሃን) በተነፈሰ ጊዜ፤ (እምላለሁ)፡፡ | (18) and by the day as it breaks – |
| (19) እርሱ (ቁርኣን) የክቡር መልክተኛ ቃል ነው፡፡ | (19) Indeed, this [Qur’an] is a word conveyed by a noble angel-messenger. |
| (20) የኀይል ባለቤት በዙፋኑ ባለ ቤት ዘንድ ባለሟል የኾነ፡፡ | (20) extremely powerful, highly revered with the Lord of the Throne, |
| (21) በዚያ ስፍራ ትእዛዙ ተሰሚ፤ ታማኝ የኾነ (መልክተኛ ቃል) ነው፡፡ | (21) obeyed [by other angels] and moreover, trustworthy. |
| (22) ነቢያችሁም በፍጹም ዕብድ አይደለም፡፡ | (22) Your fellow [the Prophet] is not madman. |
| (23) በግልጹ አድማስም በእርግጥ አይቶታል፡፡ | (23) He indeed saw him [Gabriel] on the clear horizon. |
| (24) እርሱም በሩቁ ወሬ ላይ ሰሳች (ንፉግ) አይደለም፡፡ | (24) He does not withhold [knowledge of] the unseen. |
| (25) እርሱም (ቁርኣን) የእርጉም ሰይጣን ቃል አይደለም፡፡ | (25) This [Qur’an] is not the word of an accursed devil. |
| (26) ታዲያ ወዴት ትኼዳላችሁ? | (26) So which way are you going? |
| (27) እርሱ የዓለማት መገሠጫ እንጅ ሌላ አይደለም፡፡ | (27) It is but a reminder to the worlds, |
| (28) ከናንተ ቀጥተኛ መኾንን ለሻ ሰው (መገሰጫ ነው)፡፡ | (28) for those among you who wish to take the straight path. |
| (29) የዓለማት ጌታ አላህ ካልሻም አትሹም፡፡ | (29) But you cannot wish except by the Will of Allah, the Lord of the worlds. |
