17 – Al-Israa
| (1) ያ ባሪያውን ከተከበረው መስጊድ ወደዚያ ዙሪያውን ወደ ባረክነው ወደ ሩቁ መስጊድ በሌሊት ውስጥ ያስኼደው (ጌታ) ጥራት ይገባው፡፡ ከተዓምራቶቻችን ልናሳየው (አስኼድነው)፡፡ እነሆ እርሱ (አላህ) ሰሚው ተመልካቺው ነው፡፡ | (1) Glory be to the One Who took His slave [Muhammad] by night from the Sacred Mosque [in Makkah] to the Aqsā Mosque [in Jerusalem] whose surroundings We have blessed, so that We may show him some of Our signs. Indeed, He is the All-Hearing, the All-Seeing. |
| (2) ሙሳንም መጽሐፉን ሰጠነው፡፡ ለእስራኤልም ልጆች መሪ አደረግነው፡፡ ከእኔ ሌላ መጠጊያን አትያዙ፤ (አልናቸውም)፡፡ | (2) We gave Moses the Scripture and made it a guide for the Children of Israel, “Do not take besides Me anyone as a Disposer of Affairs. |
| (3) እናንተ ከኑሕ ጋር (በመርከቢቱ) የጫናቸው ዘሮች ሆይ! (አላህን ተገዙ) እርሱ በብዙ አመስጋኝ ባሪያ ነበርና፡፡ | (3) O descendants of those whom We carried [on board] with Noah. He was indeed a grateful slave.” |
| (4) ወደ እስራኤልም ልጆች በመጽሐፉ ውስጥ (እንዲህ በማለት) አወረድን፡፡ በምድር ላይ በእርግጥ ሁለት ጊዜ ታጠፋላችሁ፡፡ ትልቅንም ኩራት ትኮራላችሁ፡፡ | (4) We declared to the Children of Israel in the Scripture, “You will surely spread corruption on earth twice, and you will surely become exceedingly arrogant. |
| (5) ከሁለቱ (ጊዜያቶች) የመጀመሪያይቱ ቀጠሮ በመጣም ጊዜ ለእኛ የኾኑን ባሮች የብርቱ ኃይል ባለቤቶች የኾኑትን በእናንተ ላይ እንልካለን፡፡ በቤቶችም መካከል ይመላለሳሉ፤ (ይበረብሩታል፡፡) ይህ ተፈጻሚ ቀጠሮም ነበር፡፡ | (5) When the first of the two warnings came to pass, We sent against you some of Our slaves of great might, and they ravaged through the land; this warning was bound to be fulfilled. |
| (6) ከዚያም (በኋላ) ለእናንተ በእነሱ ላይ ድልን መለስንላችሁ፡፡ በገንዘቦችና በወንዶች ልጆችም ጨመርንላችሁ፡፡ በወገንም የበዛችሁ አደረግናችሁ፡፡ | (6) Then We gave you the upper hand over them and strengthened you with wealth and children, and made you greater in number. |
| (7) መልካም ብትሠሩ ለነፍሶቻችሁ መልካምን ሠራችሁ፡፡ መጥፎንም ብትሠሩ በነርሱ (በነፍሶቻችሁ) ላይ ነው፤ (አልን)፡፡ የኋለኛይቱም (ጊዜ) ቀጠሮ በመጣ ጊዜ ፊቶቻችሁን ሊያስከፉ፣ መስጊዱንም በመጀመሪያ ጊዜ እንደገቡት ሊገቡ፣ ያሸነፉትንም ሁሉ (ፈጽመው) ማጥፋትን እንዲያጠፉ (እንልካቸዋልን)፡፡ | (7) If you do good, it is for your own good, but if you do evil, it is to your own loss. Then when the second warning came to pass, your enemies would disgrace and suppress you, and enter the Temple [of Jerusalem] as they entered it the first time, and utterly destroy whatever fell into their power. |
| (8) (በመጽሐፉም አልን) «ብትጸጸቱ፡- ጌታችሁ ሊያዝንላችሁ ይከጀላል፡፡ (ወደ ማጥፋት) ብትመለሱም እንመለሳለን፡፡ ገሀነምንም ለከሓዲዎች ማሰሪያ አደርገናል፡፡ | (8) Your Lord may bestow mercy upon you, but if you return [to sin], We will return [to punishment]. And We have made Hell a prison for the disbelievers.” |
| (9) ይህ ቁርኣን ወደዚያች እርሷ ቀጥተኛ ወደ ኾነችው መንገድ ይመራል፡፡ እነዚያንም በጎ የሚሠሩትን ምእመናን ለእነሱ ታላቅ ምንዳ ያላቸው መኾኑን ያበስራል፡፡ | (9) Indeed, this Qur’an guides to what is most upright, and gives glad tidings to the believers who do righteous deeds that they will have a great reward. |
| (10) እነዚያም በመጨረሻይቱ ዓለም የማያምኑት ለእነሱ አሳማሚ ቅጣትን አዘጋጅተንላቸዋል፤ | (10) And that those who do not believe in the Hereafter, We have prepared for them a painful punishment. |
| (11) ሰው መልካምን ነገር እንደሚለምን ሁሉ፤ መጥፎንም ነገር ይለምናል፡፡ ሰውም ቸኳላ ነው፡፡ | (11) Man prays for evil as he prays for good, for man is ever hasty. |
| (12) ሌሊትንና ቀንንም (ለችሎታችን) ምልክቶች አደረግን፡፡ የሌሊትን ምልክትም አበስን፡፡ የቀንን ምልክትም የምታሳይ አደረግን፡፡ (ይህም የኾነበት) ከጌታችሁ ትርፍን ልትፈልጉ የዓመታትንም ቁጥርና ሒሳብንም ታውቁ ዘንድ ነው፡፡ ነገሩንም ሁሉ ለያይተን ዘረዘርነው፡፡ | (12) We have made the day and night as two signs. We darkened the night and made the day bright, so that you may seek your Lord’s bounty and know the number of years and calculation [of time]. And We have expounded everything in detail. |
| (13) ሰውንም ሁሉ በራሪውን (ሥራውን) በአንገቱ አስያዝነው፡፡ ለእርሱም በትንሣኤ ቀን የተዘረጋ ኾኖ የሚያገኘው የኾነን መጽሐፍ እናወጣለታለን፡፡ | (13) We have bound every man’s deeds to his neck. On the Day of Resurrection We will bring forth for him a record which he will find spread open. |
| (14) «መጽሐፍህን አንብብ፡፡ ዛሬ ባንተ ላይ ተቆጣጣሪነት በነፍስህ በቃ» (ይባላል)፡፡ | (14) [It will be said,] “Read your record; this Day you are sufficient to take account of yourself.” |
| (15) የተመራ ሰው የሚመራው ለራሱ ብቻ ነው፡፡ የተሳሳተም ሰው የሚሳሳተው (ጉዳቱ) በእርሷ ላይ ነው፡፡ ተሸካሚም (ነፍስ) የሌላይቱን ኃጢኣት አትሸከምም፡፡ መልዕክተኛንም እስከምንልክ ድረስ የምንቀጣ አይደለንም፡፡ | (15) Whoever accepts guidance, it is only for his own good; and whoever goes astray, it is only for his own loss. No bearer of burden will bear the burden of another, nor do We punish until We have sent a messenger. |
| (16) ከተማንም ለማጥፋት በፈለግን ጊዜ ባለ ጸጋዎችዋን እናዛለን፡፡ በውስጧም ያምጻሉ፡፡ በእርሷም ላይ ቃሉ (ቅጣቱ) ይፈጸምባታል፡፡ ማጥፋትንም እናጠፋታለን፡፡ | (16) Whenever We decide to destroy a town, We command its affluent ones [to obey Allah] but they defiantly disobey, so the punishment becomes inevitable, and We destroy it completely. |
| (17) ከኑሕም በኋላ ከክፍለ ዘመናት ሰዎች ያጠፋናቸው ብዙዎች ናቸው፡፡ የባሮቹንም ኃጢኣቶች ውስጠ ዐዋቂ ተመልካች መኾን በጌታህ በቃ፡፡ | (17) How many generations We have destroyed since the time Noah! Your Lord is sufficient as All-Aware and All-Seeing of the sins of His slaves. |
| (18) ቸኳይቱን ዓለም (በሥራው) የሚፈልግ ሰው ለእርሱ በርሷ ውስጥ የሻነውን (ጸጋ) ለምንሻው ሰው እናስቸኩልለታለን፡፡ ከዚያም ለእርሱ ገሀነምን (መኖሪያ) አድርገንለታል፡፡ ተወቃሽ ብራሪ ኾኖ ይገባታል፡፡ | (18) Whoever desires this fleeting life, We hasten therein whatever We will to whoever We please. Then We prepare for him Hell, which he will enter, despised and rejected. |
| (19) መጨረሻይቱንም ዓለም የፈለገ ሰው እርሱ አማኝ ኾኖ ለርሷ (ተገቢ) ሥራዋን የሠራም ሰው እነዚህ ሥራቸው የተመሰገነ ይኾናል፡፡ | (19) But whoever desires the Hereafter and strives for it as he should, being a believer – it is those whose efforts will be appreciated. |
| (20) ሁሉንም እነዚህንና እነዚያን ከጌታህ ስጦታ (በዚህ ዓለም) እንጨምርላቸዋለን፡፡ የጌታህም ስጦታ (በዚች ዓለም) ክልክል አይደለም፡፡ | (20) We give both – the latter and the former – from the bounty of your Lord, and Your Lord’s bounty is not restricted. |
| (21) ከፊላቸውን በከፊሉ ላይ እንዴት እንዳበለጥን ተመልከት፡፡ የመጨረሻያቱም አገር በማዕረጎች በጣም የከበረችና በመብለጥም የተለቀች ናት፡፡ | (21) See how We have favored some over others [in this world], but the Hereafter has higher ranks and greater degrees of excellence for some over others. |
| (22) ከአላህ ጋር ሌላን አምላክ አታድርግ የተወቀስክ ረዳት የሌለህ ትኾናለህና፤ | (22) Do not set up with Allah any other god, or else you will be despised and forsaken. |
| (23) ጌታህም (እንዲህ ሲል) አዘዘ፡- እርሱን እንጂ ሌላን አትገዙ፡፡ በወላጆቻችሁም መልካምን ሥሩ፡፡ በአንተ ዘንድ ኾነው አንዳቸው ወይም ሁለታቸው እርጅናን ቢደርሱ ፎህ አትበላቸው፡፡ አትገላምጣቸውም፡፡ ለእነርሱም መልካምን ቃል ተናገራቸው፡፡ | (23) Your Lord has ordained that you worship none but Him, and show kindness to parents. If one or both of them reach old age in your care, do not say to them a word of annoyance nor scold them, rather speak to them noble words, |
| (24) ለሁለቱም ከእዝነትህ የመዋረድን ክንፍ ዝቅ አድርግላቸው፡፡ «ጌታዬ ሆይ! በሕፃንነቴ (በርኅራኄ) እንዳሳደጉኝ እዘንልላቸውም» በል፡፡ | (24) and lower to them the wing of humility out of mercy, and say, “My Lord, have mercy upon them as they raised me when I was small.” |
| (25) ጌታችሁ በነፍሶቻችሁ ውስጥ ያለውን ሁሉ አዋቂ ነው፡፡ ታዛዦችም ብትኾኑ (በመሳሳትም ብታጠፉ) እርሱ ለተመላሾች መሓሪ ነው፡፡ | (25) Your Lord knows best what is in your hearts. If you are righteous, He is All-Forgiving to those who constantly turn to Him. |
| (26) ለዝምድና ባለቤትም መብቱን ስጥ፡፡ ለምስኪንና ለመንገደኛም (ስጥ)፡፡ ማባከንንም አታባክን፡፡ | (26) Give relatives their due, and the needy and the stranded travelers, and do not spend wastefully. |
| (27) አባካኞች የሰይጣናት ወንድሞች ናቸውና፡፡ ሰይጣንም ለጌታው ብርቱ ከሓዲ ነው፡፡ | (27) Indeed, the wasteful are Satans’ brothers, and Satan is ever ungrateful to his Lord. |
| (28) ከጌታህም የምትከጅላትን ጸጋ ለማጣት ከእነርሱ ብትዞር ለእነሱ ልዝብን ቃል ተናገራቸው፡፡ | (28) But if you must turn away from them [those in need] while hoping to receive bounty from your Lord, then say to them words of comfort. |
| (29) እጅህንም ወደ አንገትህ የታሰረች አታድርግ፡፡ መዘርጋትንም ሁሉ አትዘርጋት፤ የተወቀስክ የተቆጨኽ ትኾናለህና፡፡ | (29) Do not be too tight-fisted, nor too open-handed, for you will end up blameworthy and destitute. |
| (30) ጌታህ ሲሳይን ለሚሻው ሰው ያሰፋል፤ ያጠባልም፡፡ እርሱ በባሮቹ ኹኔታ ውስጠ ዐዋቂ ተመልካች ነውና፡፡ | (30) Your Lord extends provision to whom He wills or restricts it. He is All-Aware and All-Seeing of His slaves. |
| (31) ልጆቻችሁንም ድኽነትን ለመፍራት አትግደሉ፡፡ እኛ እንመግባቸዋለን፡፡ እናንተንም (እንመግባለን)፡፡ እነርሱን መግደል ታላቅ ኃጢኣት ነውና፡፡ | (31) Do not kill your children for fear of poverty, for We provide for them and for you. Indeed, killing them is a great sin. |
| (32) ዝሙትንም አትቅረቡ፡፡ እርሱ በእርግጥ መጥፎ ሥራ ነውና፡፡ መንገድነቱም ከፋ! | (32) Do not go near adultery, for it is indeed a shameful act and an evil way. |
| (33) ያቺንም አላህ ያወገዛትን ነፍስ ያለ ሕግ አትግደሉ፡፡ የተበደለም ኾኖ የተገደለ ሰው ለዘመዱ (በገዳዩ ላይ) በእርግጥ ስልጣንን አድርገናል፡፡ በመግደልም ወሰንን አይለፍ፤ እርሱ የተረዳ ነውና፡፡ | (33) Do not kill any soul that Allah has forbidden, except in the course of justice. If anyone is killed wrongfully, We have given his heir authority [of compensation], but he should not exceed the bounds in killing, for he is already supported [by law]. |
| (34) የየቲምንም ገንዘብ የብርታቱን ጊዜ እስኪደርስ ድረስ በዚያች እርሷ መልካም በኾነች ኹኔታ እንጂ አትቅረቡ፡፡ በኪዳናችሁም ሙሉ፡፡ ኪዳን የሚጠየቁበት ነውና፡፡ | (34) Do not approach the property of an orphan except with good [intent], until he reaches maturity; and fulfill the covenant, for you will certainly be questioned about the covenant. |
| (35) በሰፈራችሁም ጊዜ ስፍርን ሙሉ፡፡ በትክክለኛው ሚዛንም መዝኑ፡፡ ይህ መልካም ነገር ነው፡፡ መጨረሻውም ያማረ ነው፡፡ | (35) Give full measure when you measure, and weigh with accurate scales; that is fair and best in the end. |
| (36) ለአንተም በርሱ ዕውቀት የሌለህን ነገር አትከተል፡፡ መስሚያ፣ ማያም፣ ልብም እነዚህ ሁሉ (ባለቤታቸው) ከእነሱ ተጠያቂ ነውና፡፡ | (36) Do not follow that of which you have no knowledge. Indeed, the hearing, the sight, and the heart, all of them will be called to account. |
| (37) በምድርም ላይ የተንበጣረረክ ሆነህ፤ አትሂድ፡፡ አንተ ፈጽሞ ምድርን አትሰረጉድምና በርዝመትም ፈጽሞ ጋራዎችን አትደርስምና፡፡ | (37) Do not walk on the earth arrogantly; you cannot cleave the earth, nor can you reach the mountains in height. |
| (38) ይህ ሁሉ መጥፎው (አሥራ ሁለቱ ክልክሎች) እጌታህ ዘንድ የተጠላ ነው፡፡ | (38) The evil of all these actions is hateful to your Lord. |
| (39) ይህ ጌታህ ከጥበቡ ወደ አንተ ካወረደው ነገር ነው፡፡ ከአላህም ጋር ሌላን አምላክ አታድርግ የተወቀስክ የተባረርክ ኾነህ በገሀነም ውስጥ ትጣላለህና፡፡ | (39) This is part of the wisdom that your Lord has revealed to you [O Prophet]. Do not set up any other god with Allah, or you will be thrown into Hell, blameworthy and rejected. |
| (40) ጌታችሁ በወንዶች ልጆች መረጣችሁና ከመላእክት ሴቶችን (ልጆች) ያዝን እናንተ ከባድን ቃል በእርግጥ ትናገራላችሁ፡፡ | (40) Has your Lord favored you with sons and has taken for Himself angels as daughters? You are indeed making a monstrous claim. |
| (41) ይገሰጹም ዘንድ በዚህ ቁርኣን ውስጥ ደጋግመን በእርግጥ ገለጽን፡፡ መበርገግንም እንጂ ሌላን አይጨመርላቸውም፡፡ | (41) We have explained things in various ways in this Qur’an, so that they may take heed, but it only increases them in aversion. |
| (42) (ሙሐመድ ሆይ) በላቸው «እንደምትሉት ከእርሱ ጋር አማልክት በነበሩ ኖሮ ያን ጊዜ ወደ ዐርሹ ባለቤት መንገድን በፈለጉ ነበር፡፡» | (42) Say, “If there were other gods besides Him – as they claim – they would have surely sought a way to the Lord of the Throne.” |
| (43) ጥራት ይገባው፡፡ ከሚሉትም ነገር ሁሉ ከፍ ያለን ልቅና ላቀ፡፡ | (43) Glorified and Highly Exalted is He far above what they claim! |
| (44) ሰባቱ ሰማያትና ምድርም በውስጣቸውም ያለው ሁሉ ለእርሱ ያጠራሉ፡፡ ከነገርም ሁሉ ከማመስገን ጋር የሚያጠራው እንጂ አንድም የለም፡፡ ግን ማጥራታቸውን አታውቁትም፡፡ እርሱ ታጋሽ መሓሪ ነው፡፡ | (44) The seven heavens and the earth, and all those in them glorify Him. There is not a single thing that does not glorify Him with His praise, but you do not understand their glorification. Indeed, He is Most Forbearing, All-Forgiving. |
| (45) ቁርኣንንም ባነበብክ ጊዜ ባንተና በእነዚያ በመጨረሻይቱ ዓለም በማያምኑት ሰዎች መካከል የሚሸሸግን ግርዶሽ አድርገናል፡፡ | (45) When you recite the Qur’an, We place between you and those who do not believe in the Hereafter an invisible barrier. |
| (46) እንዳያውቁትም በልቦቻቸው ላይ ሽፋንን በጆሮቻቸውም ውስጥ ድንቁርናን አደረግን፡፡ ጌታህንም ብቻውን ኾኖ በቁርኣን ባወሳኸው ጊዜ የሚሸሹ ኾነው በጀርባዎቻቸው ላይ ይዞራሉ፡፡ | (46) We have placed covers on their hearts so that they do not understand it, and deafness in their ears. When you mention your Lord alone in the Qur’an, they turn their backs in aversion. |
| (47) እኛ ወደ አንተ በሚያዳምጡ ጊዜ እነሱም በሚንሾካሾኩ ጊዜ በዳዮች (እርስ በርሳቸው) የተደገመበትን ስው እንጂ አትከተሉም በሚሉ ጌዜ በእርሱ የሚያዳምጡበትን ምክንያት ዐዋቂ ነን፡፡ | (47) We are well aware of what they wish to hear when they listen to you, and what they say when they converse in private, when the wrongdoers say, “You are not following but a bewitched man.” |
| (48) ምሳሌዎችን ለአንተ እንዴት እንዳደረጉልህና እንደ ተሳሳቱ ተመልከት፡፡ (ወደ እውነቱ ለመድረስ) መንገድንም አይችሉም፡፡ | (48) See how they call you names! Thus they have gone astray and cannot find a way. |
| (49) አሉም «እንዴት አጥንቶችና ብስብሶች በኾን ጊዜ እኛ አዲስ ፍጥረት ኾነን በእርግጥ ተቀስቃሾች ነን» | (49) They say, “What! When we are turned into bones and dust, will we really be resurrected as a new creation?” |
| (50) በላቸው «ድንጋዮችን ወይም ብረትን ሁኑ» | (50) Say, “Be you stones or iron, |
| (51) «ወይም በልቦቻችሁ ውስጥ የሚተልቅን ፍጥረት (ኹኑ መቀስቀሳችሁ አይቀርም)፡፡» «የሚመልሰንም ማነው» ይላሉ፡፡ ያ በመጀመሪያ ጊዜ የፈጠራችሁ ነው» በላቸው፡፡ ወደ አንተም ራሶቻቸውን ይነቀንቃሉ፡፡ «እርሱም መቼ ነው» ይላሉ፡፡ «(እርሱ) ቅርብ ሊኾነን ይቻላል በላቸው፡፡ | (51) or any other substance you think is harder to bring back to life.” They will then say, “Who will bring us back [to life]?” Say, “The One Who created you the first time.” They will shake their heads at you and say, “When will that be?” Say, “Perhaps it is soon.” |
| (52) (እርሱም) የሚጠራችሁና (አላህን) አመስጋኞቹ ኾናችሁ ጥሪውን የምትቀበሉበት ጥቂትንም (ቀኖች) እንጂ ያልቆያችሁ መኾናችሁን የምትጠራጠሩበት ቀን ነው፤ (በላቸው)፡፡ | (52) On the Day when He calls you, you will respond by praising Him, thinking that you had not stayed [on earth] except for a little while. |
| (53) ለባሮቼም በላቸው፡- ያችን እርሷ መልካም የኾነችውን (ቃል) ይናገሩ፡፡ ሰይጣን በመካከላቸው ያበላሻልና፡፡ ሰይጣን ለሰው ግልጽ ጠላት ነውና፡፡ | (53) Tell My slaves that they should say what is best, for Satan sows discord among them. Indeed, Satan is a sworn enemy to mankind. |
| (54) ጌታችሁ በእናንተ (ኹኔታ) ዐዋቂ ነው፡፡ ቢሻ ያዝንላችኋል፤ ወይም ቢሻ ይቀጣችኋል፡፡ በእነሱም ላይ ኃላፊ ኾነህ አላክንህም፡፡ (አታስገድዳቸውም)፡፡ | (54) Your Lord knows you best: if He wills, He will have mercy on you; or if He wills, He will punish you. We have not sent you [O Prophet] to be in charge of them. |
| (55) ጌታህም በሰማያትና በምድር ያለውን ሁሉ ዐዋቂ ነው፡፡ ከፊሉንም ነቢያት በከፊሉ ላይ በእርግጥ አብልጠናል፡፡ ዳውድንም ዘቡርን ሰጥተነዋል፡፡ | (55) Your Lord knows best all those in the heavens and on earth. We have surely favored some prophets over others, and We gave David the Psalms. |
| (56) «እነዚያን ከእርሱ ሌላ (አማልክት) የምትሏቸውን ጥሩ፡፡ ከእናንተም ላይ ጉዳትን ማስወገድን (ወደ ሌላ) ማዞርንም አይችሉም» በላቸው፡፤ | (56) Say, “Call upon those whom you claimed [to be gods] besides Him; they have no power to remove harm or avert it from you.” |
| (57) እነዚያ እነርሱ የሚግገዟቸው ማንኛቸውም (ወደ አላህ) በጣም ቀራቢያቸው ወደ ጌታቸው መቃረቢያን (ሥራ) ይፈልጋሉ፡፡ እዝነቱንም ይከጅላሉ፡፡ ቅጣቱንም ይፈራሉ፡፡ የጌታህ ቅጣት የሚፈራ ነውና፡፡ | (57) Those whom they call upon seek means of nearness to their Lord, each trying to become closer, hoping for His Mercy and fearing His punishment. Indeed, the punishment of your Lord is fearsome. |
| (58) አንዲትም ከተማ የለችም እኛ ከትንሣኤ ቀን በፊት አጥፊዎችዋ ወይም ብርቱን ቅጣት ቀጭዎችዋ ብንኾን እንጂ፡፡ ይህ በመጽሐፉ የተጻፈ ነው፡፡ | (58) There is no [disbelieving] town except that We will destroy it before the Day of Resurrection or punish it severely. This is written in the Record. |
| (59) ታምራቶችንም ከመላክ የቀድሞዎቹ ሰዎች በእርሷ ማስተባበልና (መጥፋት) እንጂ ሌላ አልከለከለንም፡፡ ለሰሙድም ግመልን ግልጽ ተዓምር ኾና ሰጠናቸው፡፡ በእርሷም በደሉ፡፡ ተዓምራቶችንም ለማስፈራራት እንጂ አንንልክም፡፡ | (59) Nothing prevents Us from sending signs except that the earlier people denied them. We gave Thamūd the she-camel as a clear sign, but they wrongfully rejected her. We do not send signs except as a warning. |
| (60) ላንተም ጌታህ (ዕውቀቱ) በሰዎቹ ከበበ ባልንህ ጊዜ (አስታውስ)፡፡ ያችንም (በሌሊቱ ጉዞ በዓይንህ) ያሳየንህን ትርዕይት ለሰዎች ፈተና እንጂ አላደረግናትም፡፡ በቁርኣንም የተረገመችውን ዛፍ (እንደዚሁ ፈተና እንጂ አላደረግንም)፡፡ እናስፈራራቸዋለንም፤ ታላቅንም ጥመት እንጂ አይጨምርላቸውም፡፡ | (60) And [remember, O Prophet] when We told you, “Your Lord encompasses all people [with His knowledge and might].” We did not make the sight which We showed you except as a test for people, as well as the cursed tree [mentioned] in the Qur’an. We keep threatening them, yet it only increases them to greater transgression. |
| (61) ለመላእክትም ለአደም ስገዱ ባልናቸው ጊዜ (አስታውስ)፡፡ ወዲያውም ሰገዱ፤ ኢብሊስ ብቻ ሲቀር፡፡ «ከጭቃ ለፈጠርከው ሰው እሰግዳለሁን» አለ፡፡ | (61) And [remember] when We said to the angels, “Prostrate to Adam;” they all prostrated except Iblīs, who said, “Should I prostrate to whom You created from clay?” |
| (62) «ንገረኝ ይህ ያ በእኔ ላይ ያበለጥከው ነውን እስከ ትንሣኤ ቀን ድረስ ብታቆየኝ ዘሮቹን ጥቂቶች ሲቀሩ ወደ ስህተት በእርግጥ እስባቸዋለሁ» አለ፡፡ | (62) He added, “Do You see this one whom You have honored above me? If you give me respite until the Day of Resurrection, I will surely overpower his offspring, except for a few.” |
| (63) (አላህም) አለው «ኺድ፤ ከእነሱም የተከተለህ ገሀነም የተሟላች ቅጣት ስትኾን ፍዳችሁ ናት፡፡ | (63) Allah said, “Be gone! Whoever among them follows you, Hell will be an ample recompense for you all. |
| (64) «ከእነሱ የቻልከውንም ሰው በድምጽህ አታል፡፡ በእነሱም ላይ በፈረሰኞችህ፣ በእግረኞችህም ኾነህ ለልብ፡፡ በገንዘቦቻቸውም፣ በልጆቻቸውም ተጋራቸው፣ ተስፋ ቃልም ግባላቸው፡፡ ሰይጣንም ማታለልን እንጂ ተስፋ ቃልን አይገባላቸውም፡፡ | (64) Entice with your voice whoever of them you can; mobilize against them your cavalry and infantry; manipulate them in their wealth and children, and make promises to them.” But Satan does not promise them except delusion. |
| (65) «ባሮቼ በእነሱ ላይ ፈጽሞ ላንተ ስልጣን የለህም፡፡ መጠጊያም በጌታህ በቃ፡፡» | (65) “You will have no authority over My slaves.” And sufficient is your Lord as a Guardian. |
| (66) ጌታችሁ ያ ከችሮታው ትፈልጉ ዘንድ መርከቦችን በባሕር ለይ ለእናንተ የሚነዳላችሁ ነው፡፡ እነሆ እርሱ ለናንተ አዛኝ ነውና፡፡ | (66) It is your Lord Who makes the ships sail for you through the sea, so that you may seek of His bounty. Indeed, He is ever Merciful to you. |
| (67) በባሕሩም ውስጥ ጉዳት ባገኛችሁ ጊዜ የምትጠሩዋቸው (አማልክት) ሁሉ ከእርሱ (ከአላህ) በቀር ይጠፋሉ፡፡ ወደ የብስም በማድረስ ባዳናችሁ ጊዜ (እምነትን) ትተዋላችሁ፡፡ ሰውም በጣም ከሓዲ ነው፡፡ | (67) When hardship strikes you at sea, you forget all those whom you invoke besides Him. Then when He brings you safe to the land, you turn away. Mankind is ever ungrateful. |
| (68) የየብሱን በኩል (ምድርን) በእናንተ መገልበጡን ወይም ጠጠርን የያዘ ንፋስን በእናንተ ላይ መላኩን ከዚያም ለእናንተ ጠባቂ አለማግኘታችሁን አትፈሩምን | (68) Do you feel secure that He will not make some part of the land swallow you up, or send against you a storm of stones? Thereupon you will find none to protect you. |
| (69) ወይስ ሌላ ጊዜ ወደ እርሱ (ወደ ባሕር) የሚመልሳችሁ ወዲያውም በእናንተ ላይ ብርቱን ነፋስ የሚልክ በክሕደታችሁም ምክንያት የሚያሰጥማችሁ መኾኑን ከዚያም በኛ ላይ በእርሱ ተከታይን (ረዳትን) ለእናንተ የማታገኙ መኾናችሁን አትፈሩምን | (69) Or do you feel secure that He will not send you back [to sea] once again, and send upon you a violent storm to drown you on account of your disbelief? Thereupon you will find none to help you against Us. |
| (70) የአደምንም ልጆች በእርግጥ (ከሌላው ፍጡር) አከበርናቸው፡፡ በየብስና በባህርም አሳፈርናቸው፡፡ ከመልካሞችም (ሲሳዮች) ሰጠናቸው፡፡ ከፈጠርናቸውም ፍጡሮች በብዙዎቹ ላይ ማብለጥን አበለጥናቸው፡፡ | (70) We have honored the children of Adam, carried them on land and sea, provided for them good things and favored them above many of those whom We have created. |
| (71) ሰዎችን ሁሉ በመሪያቸው የምንጠራበትን ቀን (አስታውስ)፡፡ መጽሐፉንም በቀኙ የተሰጠ ሰው እነዚያ መጽሐፋቸውን ያነባሉ፡፡ በተምር ፍሬ ስንጥቅ ላይ ያለውን ክር ያክል እንኳ አይበደሉም፡፡ | (71) On the Day when We will summon every community with its leader. Those who are given their record in their right hand will read their record [happily]; they will not be wronged even as much as the thread of a date stone. |
| (72) በዚህችም ዓለም (ልበ) ዕውር የኾነ ሰው እርሱ በመጨረሻይቱም (ዓለም) ይበልጥ ዕውር ነው፡፡ መንገድንም በጣም የተሳሳተ ነው፡፤ | (72) But whoever was blind [from the truth] in this life will be even blinder in the Hereafter and further astray from the right way. |
| (73) እነሆ ከዚያም ወደ አንተ ካወረድነው ሌላን በእኛ ላይ ትዋሽ ዘንድ ሊፈትኑህ በእርግጥ ተቃረቡ፡፡ ያን ጊዜም ወዳጅ አድርገው በያዙህ ነበር፡፡ | (73) They were about to tempt you away from what We have revealed to you [O Prophet], so that you would fabricate something else and attribute it to Us; then they would have surely taken you as a close friend. |
| (74) ባላረጋንህም ኖሮ ወደነሱ ጥቂትን (ዝንባሌ) ልትዘነበል በእርግጥ በተቃረብክ ነበር፡፡ | (74) Had We not made you stand firm, you would nearly have inclined to them a little. |
| (75) ያን ጊዜ የሕይወትን ድርብ (ቅጣት) የሞትንም ድርብ (ቅጣት) ባቀመስንህ ነበር፡፡ ከዚያም ላንተ በኛ ላይ ረዳትን አታገኝም ነበር፡፡ | (75) In that case, We would have made you taste double punishment, both in this life and after death. Thereupon you would have found no helper against Us. |
| (76) ከምድሪቱም (ከዓረብ ምድር) ከርሷ ያወጡህ ዘንድ ሊያሸብሩህ በእርግጥ ተቃረቡ፡፡ ያን ጊዜም ከአንተ በኋላ ጥቂትን ጊዜ እንጂ አይቆዩም ነበር፡፡ | (76) They were about to provoke you so as to drive you out of the land [of Makkah], but then they would not have remained after you, except for a little while. |
| (77) ከመልክተኞቻችን ካንተ በፊት በእርግጥ እንደላክናቸው ሰዎች ልማድ ብጤ (ይጠፉ ነበር)፡፡ ለልማዳችንም መለወጥን አታገኝም፡፡ | (77) Such was Our way with the messengers We sent before you, and you will find no change in Our way. |
| (78) ሶላትን ከፀሐይ መዘንበል እስከ ሌሊት ጨለማ ድረስ ስገድ፡፡ የጎህንም ሶላት ስገድ፡፡ የጎህ ሶላት (መላእክት) የሚጣዱት ነውና፡፡ | (78) Establish prayer at the decline of the sun until the darkness of the night, and the recitation of dawn [prayer], for the recitation of dawn is ever witnessed [by the angles]. |
| (79) ከሌሊትም ላንተ ተጨማሪ የኾነችን ሶላት በእርሱ (በቁርኣን) ስገድ፡፡ ጌታህ ምስጉን በኾነ ስፍራ በእርግጥ ያቆምሃል፡፡ | (79) And wake up during the night and pray, as an additional prayer for you [O Prophet], so your Lord may raise you to a praised status [of Grand Intercession]. |
| (80) በልም ጌታዬ ሆይ! የተወደደን ማግባት አግባኝ፡፡ የተወደደንም ማውጣት አውጣኝ፡፡ ለእኔም ከአንተ ዘንድ የተረዳን ስልጣን አድርግልኝ፡፡ | (80) And say, “My Lord, make me enter an honorable entrance and make me exit an honorable exit, and grant me from Yourself a supporting authority.” |
| (81) በልም «እውነት መጣ ውሸትም ተወገደ፤ እነሆ ውሸት ተወጋጅ ነውና፡፡» | (81) And say, “The truth has come and falsehood has perished. Indeed, falsehood is bound to perish.” |
| (82) ከቁርኣንም ለምእመናን መድኀኒትና እዝነት የኾነን እናወርዳለን፡፡ በዳዮችንም ከሳራን እንጂ ሌላ አይጨምርላቸውም፡፡ | (82) We send down the Qur’an as a healing and mercy for the believers, but it does not increase the wrongdoers except in loss. |
| (83) በሰውም ላይ ጸጋችንን በለገስን ጊዜ (ከምስጋና) ይዞራል፡፡ ጎኑንም (ከእውነት) ያርቃል፡፡ ችግርም በነካው ጊዜ ተስፋ ቆራጭ ይኾናል፡፡ | (83) When We bestow favor upon man, he turns away and distances himself, but when evil befalls him, he is in utter despair. |
| (84) «ሁሉም በሚመስለው መንገዱ ላይ ይሠራል፡፡ ጌታችሁም እርሱ መንገዱ ቀጥተኛ የኾነውን ሰው ዐዋቂ ነው በላቸው፡፡ | (84) Say, “Everyone acts in his own way, but your Lord knows best whose way is best guided.” |
| (85) ከሩሕም ይጠይቁሃል፡፡ «ሩሕ ከጌታዬ ነገር ነው ከዕውቀትም ጥቂትን እንጂ አልተሰጣችሁም» በላቸው፡፡ | (85) They ask you [O Prophet] about the soul. Say, “The soul is only known to my Lord, and you have not been given knowledge except a little.” |
| (86) ብንሻም ያንን ወዳንተ ያወረድነውን በእርግጥ እናስወግዳለን፡፡ ከዚያም ላንተ በእኛ ላይ በርሱ (ለማስመለስ) ተያዢን አታገኝም፡፡ | (86) If We willed, We could surely take away what We have revealed to you, then you would find no guardian to plead its return from Us, |
| (87) ግን ከጌታህ በኾነው እዝነት (ጠበቅነው)፡፡ ችሮታው ባንተ ላይ ታላቅ ነውና፡፤ | (87) nevertheless it is a mercy from your Lord, for His favor to you is truly great. |
| (88) «ሰዎችም ጋኔኖችም የዚህን ቁርኣን ብጤ በማምጣት ላይ ቢሰበሰቡ ከፊላቸው ለከፊሉ ረዳት ቢሆንም እንኳ ብጤውን አያመጡም» በላቸው፡፡ | (88) Say, “If all humans and jinn were to come together to produce something similar to this Qur’an, they would not be able to produce the like of it, even if they collaborated with one another.” |
| (89) በዚህም ቁርኣን ውስጥ ከምሳሌው ሁሉ ለሰዎች በእርግጥ መላለስን፡፡ አብዛኞቹም ሰዎች ክህደትን እንጂ ሌላን እምቢ አሉ፡፡ | (89) We have explained every kind of example for mankind in this Qur’an, yet most people persist in disbelief. |
| (90) አሉም «ለኛ ከምድር ምንጭን እስከምታፈነዳን ለአንተ አናምንም፡፡» | (90) They say, “We will never believe in you until you cause a spring to gush forth for us from the earth, |
| (91) «ወይም ከዘምባባዎችና ከወይን የኾነች አትክልት ለአንተ እስከምትኖርህና በመካከልዋም ጂረቶችን በብዛት እስከምታንቧቧ፡፡ | (91) or until you have a garden of date palms and grapevines, and you cause rivers to flow abundantly in their midst, |
| (92) «ወይም እንደምትለው ከሰማይ ቁራጮችን በኛ ላይ እስከምታወድቅ፤ ወይም አላህንና መላእክትን በግልጽ እስከምታመጣ፡፡ | (92) or you make the sky to fall upon us in pieces – as you claim – or bring Allah and the angels before us face to face, |
| (93) «ወይም ከወርቅ የኾነ ቤት ላንተ እስከሚኖርህ፤ ወይም በሰማይ እስከምትወጣ፤ ለመውጣትህም በእኛ ላይ የምናነበው የኾነን መጽሐፍ እስከምታወርድልን ድረስ ፈጽሞ አናምንልህም» (አሉ)፡፡ «ጌታዬ ጥራት ይገባው፤ እኔ ሰው መልክተኛ እንጂ ሌላ አይደለሁም» በላቸው፡፡ | (93) or until you have a house of gold, or you ascend to the heaven, and even then we will never believe in your ascension unless you bring down to us a book which we can read.” Say, “Glory be to my Lord! Am I anything but a human, sent as a messenger?” |
| (94) ሰዎችንም መሪ (ቁርኣን) በመጣላቸው ጊዜ ከማመን «አላህ ሰውን መልክተኛ አድርጎ ላከን» ማለታቸው እንጂ ሌላ አልከለከላቸውም፡፡ | (94) Nothing prevented people from believing when guidance came to them except that they said, “Has Allah sent a human as a messenger?” |
| (95) «በምድር ላይ ረግተው የሚኼዱ መላእክት በነበሩ ኖሮ በእነሱ ላይ (ከጎሳቸው) የመልአክን መልክተኛ ባወረድን ነበር» በላቸው፡፡ | (95) Say, “If there had been angels walking on earth peacefully, We would have certainly sent down to them from the heaven an angel as a messenger.” |
| (96) «በእኔና በእናንተ መካከል መስካሪ በአላህ በቃ፡፡ እርሱ በባሮቹ (ነገር) ውስጥ ዐዋቂ ተመልካች ነውና» በላቸው፡፡ | (96) Say, “Allah is Sufficient as a witness between me and you. He is indeed All-Aware, All-Seeing of His slaves.” |
| (97) አላህም ያቀናው ሰው ቅኑ እርሱ ብቻ ነው፡፡ ያጠመማቸውም ሰዎች ከእርሱ ሌላ ለእነርሱ ፈጽሞ ረዳት አታገኝላቸውም፡፡ በትንሣኤ ቀንም ዕውሮች፣ ዲዳዎችም ደንቆሮዎችም ኾነው በፊቶቻቸው ላይ (እየተጎተቱ) እንሰበስባቸዋለን፡፡ መኖሪያቸው ገሀነም ናት፡፡ (ነዲድዋ) በደከመች ቁጥር መንቀልቀልን እንጨምርባቸዋለን፡፤ | (97) Whoever Allah guides is truly guided; and whoever He causes to stray, you will find none to protect them besides Him. On the Day of Resurrection, We will gather [and drag] them on their faces – deaf, dumb and blind. Their abode will be Hell; every time it subsides, We will flare it up for them. |
| (98) ይህ (ቅጣት)፤ እነርሱ በአንቀጾቻችን ስለ ካዱና «አጥንቶችና ብስብሶች በኾን ጊዜ እኛ አዲስ ፍጥረት ኾነን ተቀስቃሾች ነን» ስላሉም ፍዳቸው ነው፡፡ | (98) That will be their recompense because they rejected Our verses and said, “What! When we are turned into bones and crumbled particles, will we really be raised as a new creation?” |
| (99) ያ ሰማያትንና ምድርን የፈጠረ አላህ ብጤያቸውን በመፍጠር ላይ ቻይ መኾኑን በእርሱ ጥርጣሬ የሌለበትም ጊዜ (ለሞትም ለትንሣኤም) ለእነርሱ የወሰነ መኾኑን አላወቁምን በደለኞችም ከክህደት በቀር እምቢ አሉ፡፡ | (99) Do they not see that Allah, Who created the heavens and earth, is able to create the like of them? He has decreed for them an appointed time, about which there is no doubt, yet the wrongdoers persist in denial. |
| (100) «እናንተ የጌታዬን የችሮታ መካዚኖች ብትይዙ ኖሮ ያን ጊዜ በማውጣታችሁ ማለቋን በመፍራት በጨበጣችሁ ነበር፡፡ ሰውም በጣም ቆጣቢ ነው፡፡» | (100) Say, “If you were to own the treasuries of my Lord’s mercy, you would surely hold them back for fear of spending, for man is ever miserly.” |
| (101) ለሙሳም ግልጽ የኾኑን ዘጠኝ ተዓምራቶች በእርግጥ ሰጠነው፡፡ በመጣቸውም ጊዜ የእስራኤልን ልጆች (ከፈርዖን እንዲለቀቁ) ጠይቅ (አልነው)፡፡ ፈርዖንም «ሙሳ ሆይ! እኔ የተደገመብህ መኾንህን በእርግጥ እጠረጥራለሁ» አለው፡፡ | (101) We gave Moses nine clear signs. Ask the Children of Israel when he came to them, Pharaoh said to him, “O Moses, I certainly think that you are bewitched.” |
| (102) (ሙሳም) «እነዚህን (ተዓምራቶች) መገሰጫዎች ሲኾኑ የሰማያትና የምድር ጌታ እንጂ ሌላ እንዳላወረዳቸው በእርግጥ ዐውቀሃል፡፡ እኔም ፈርዖን ሆይ! የምትጠፋ መኾንህን በእርግጥ እጠረጥርሃለሁ» አለው፡፡ | (102) Moses said, “You already know that none sent down these [signs] except the Lord of the heavens and earth as clear proofs, and I certainly think that you, O Pharaoh, are doomed!” |
| (103) ከምድርም ሊቀሰቅሳቸው አሰበ፡፡ እርሱንና ከእርሱ ጋር የነበሩትንም ሰዎች ሁሉንም አሰጠምናቸው፡፡ | (103) So he decided to exile them out of the land, but We drowned him and all those who were with him. |
| (104) ከእርሱም በኋላ ለእሰራኤል ልጆች «ምድሪቱን ተቀመጡባት የኋለኛይቱም (ሰዓት) ቀጠሮ በመጣ ጊዜ እናንተን የተከማቻችሁ ስትኾኑ እናመጣችኋለን» አልናቸው፡፡ | (104) Thereafter We said to the Children of Israel, “Dwell in the land, but when the promise of the Hereafter comes, We will bring you all together.” |
| (105) (ቁርኣንን) በውነትም አወረድነው፡፡ በእውነትም ወረደ፡፡ አንተንም አብሳሪና አስጠንቃቂ አድርገን እንጂ አልላክንህም፡፡ | (105) With the truth We have sent down this [Qur’an] and with the truth it has descended, and We have not sent you [O Prophet] except as a bearer of glad tidings and a warner. |
| (106) ቁርኣንንም በሰዎች ላይ በዝግታ ላይ ኾነህ ታነበው ዘንድ ከፋፈልነው፡፡ ቀስ በቀስ ማውረድንም አወረድነው፡፡ | (106) This is a Qur’an that We have revealed over stages so that you may recite it to people at a slower pace, and We have sent it down in a successive manner. |
| (107) «በእርሱ እመኑ ወይም አትመኑ» በላቸው፤ እነዚያ ከእርሱ በፊት ዕውቀትን የተሰጡት በእነሱ ላይ በተነበበ ጊዜ ሰጋጆች ኾነው በሸንጎበቶቻቸው ላይ ይወድቃሉ፤ | (107) Say, “Believe in it, or do not believe. Those who were given knowledge before it, when it is recited to them, they fall on their faces in prostration, |
| (108) ይላሉም «ጌታችን ጥራት ይገባው! እነሆ የጌታችን ተስፋ ተፈጻሚ ነው፡፡» | (108) and they say, “Glory be to our Lord. The promise of our Lord is bound to be fulfilled.” |
| (109) እያለቀሱም በሸንጎበቶቻቸው ላይ ይወድቃሉ (አላህን) መፍራትንም ይጨምራላቸዋል፡፡ | (109) They fall down on their faces weeping, and it increases their humility.” |
| (110) «አላህን ጥሩ፤ ወይም አልረሕማንን ጥሩ፤ (ከሁለቱ) ማንኛውንም ብትጠሩ (መልካም ነው)፡፡ ለእርሱ መልካም ስሞች አሉትና» በላቸው፡፡ በስግደትህም (ስታነብ) አትጩህ፡፡ በእርሷም ድምጽህን ዝቅ አታድርግ በዚህም መካከል መንገድን ፈልግ፡፡ | (110) Say, “Call upon Allah or call upon the Most Compassionate – whichever name you call, to Him belong the Most Beautiful Names.” Do not be too loud in your prayer, nor too quiet, but seek a way in between. |
| (111) «ምስጋና ለአላህ ለዚያ ልጅን ላልያዘው፣ ለእርሱም በንግሥናው ተጋሪ ለሌለው፣ ለእርሱም ከውርደት ረዳት ለሌለው ይገባው በልም፡፡ ማክበርንም አክብረው፡፡» | (111) And say, “All praise is for Allah Who has not taken a son, nor does He have any partner in His dominion, nor does He need any protector out of weakness. And proclaim His greatness immensely.” |
