92 – Al-Lail
| (1) በሌሊቱ እምላለሁ (በጨለማው) በሚሸፍን ጊዜ፡፡ | (1) By the night when it covers, |
| (2) በቀኑም፤ በተገለጸ ጊዜ፡፡ | (2) and by the day when it appears, |
| (3) ወንድንና ሴትን በፈጠረውም (አምላክ እምላለሁ)፡፡ | (3) and by His creation of male and female, |
| (4) ሥራችሁ በእርግጥ የተለያየ ነው፡፡ | (4) surely your efforts are divergent. |
| (5) የሰጠ ሰውማ ጌታውን የፈራም፡፡ | (5) As for the one who gives in charity and fears Allah, |
| (6) በመልካሚቱም (እምነት) ያረጋገጠ፤ | (6) and truly believes in the best reward, |
| (7) ለገሪቱ ሥራ እናዘጋጀዋለን፡፡ | (7) We will make easy for him the way of salvation. |
| (8) የሰሰተ ሰውማ የተብቃቃም፤ (በራሱ የተመካ)፤ | (8) But as for the one who is miserly and deems himself self-sufficient, |
| (9) በመልካሚቱ (እምነት) ያሰተባበለም፤ | (9) and denies the best reward, |
| (10) ለክፉይቱ ሥራ እናዘጋጀዋለን፡፡ | (10) We will make easy for him the way of perdition. |
| (11) በወደቀም ጊዜ ገንዘቡ ከእርሱ ምንም አይጠቅመውም፡፡ | (11) His wealth will be of no avail to him when he tumbles [into Hell]. |
| (12) ቅኑን መንገድ መግለጽ በእኛ ላይ አለብን፡፡ | (12) Indeed, it is upon Us to show the right way, |
| (13) መጨረሻይቱም መጀመሪያይቱም ዓለም የእኛ ናቸው፡፡ | (13) and surely to Us belong the Hereafter and the present life. |
| (14) የምትንቀለቀልንም እሳት አስጠነቀቅኳችሁ (በላቸው)፡፡ | (14) So I warn you of a raging Fire, |
| (15) ከጠማማ በቀር ሌላ የማይገባት የኾነችን፡፡ | (15) none will enter it except the most wretched, |
| (16) ያ ያስተባበለና ከትዕዛዝ የሸሸው፡፡ | (16) who denied and turned away. |
| (17) አላህን በጣም ፈሪውም በእርግጥ ይርቃታል፡፡ | (17) But the most righteous will be saved from it, |
| (18) ያ የሚጥራራ ኾኖ ገንዘቡን (ለድኾች) የሚሰጠው፡፡ | (18) who spends his wealth to purify himself, |
| (19) ለአንድም ሰው እርሱ ዘንድ የምትመለስ ውለታ የለችም፡፡ | (19) not in return for someone’s favors, |
| (20) ግን የታላቅ ጌታውን ውዴታ ለመፈለግ (ይህንን ሠራ)፡፡ | (20) but to seek the pleasure of his Lord, the Most High. |
| (21) ወደፊትም በእርግጥ ይደሰታል፡፡ | (21) He will surely be well pleased. |
