71 – Nooh
| (1) እኛ ኑሕን «ሕዝቦችህን አሳማሚ ቅጣት ሳይመጣባቸው በፊት አስጠንቅቅ በማለት ወደ ሕዝቦቹ ላክነው፡፡» | (1) Indeed, We sent Noah to his people, “Warn your people before there comes to them a painful punishment.” |
| (2) (እርሱም) አለ «ሕዝቦቼ ሆይ! እኔ ለእናንተ ገላጭ የኾንኩ አስጠንቃቂ ነኝ፡፡ | (2) He said: “O my people, indeed I am a clear warner to you, |
| (3) «አላህን ተገዙት፣ ፍሩትም፣ ታዘዙኝም በማለት፤ (አስጠንቃቂ ነኝ)፡፡ | (3) that you worship Allah and fear Him, and obey me; |
| (4) «ለእናንተ ከኀጢኣቶቻችሁ ይምራልና፡፡ ወደተወሰነው ጊዜም ያቆያችኋል፡፡ የአላህ (የወሰነው) ጊዜ በመጣ ወቅት አይቆይም፡፡ የምታውቁት ብትኾኑ ኖሮ (በታዘዛችሁ ነበር)፡፡» | (4) He will forgive you some of your sins and grant you respite until an appointed term. Indeed, when Allah’s appointed term comes, it cannot be delayed, if you only knew!” |
| (5) (ስለ ተቃወሙትም) «አለ ጌታዬ ሆይ! እኔ ሌሊትም ቀንም ሕዝቦቼን ጠራሁ፡፡ | (5) He said, “My Lord, I have surely called my people night and day, |
| (6) «ጥሪየም መሸሽን እንጅ ሌላ አልጨመረላቸውም፡፡ | (6) but my call only drove them further away. |
| (7) «እኔም ለእነርሱ ትምር ዘንድ (ወደ እምነት) በጠራኋቸው ቁጥር ጣቶቻቸውን በጆሮዎቻቸው ውስጥ አደረጉ፡፡ ልብሶቻቸውንም ተከናነቡ፡፡ (በመጥፎ ሥራቸው ላይ) ዘወተሩም፡፡ (ያለ ልክ) መኩራትንም ኮሩ፡፡ | (7) Every time I call them so that You may forgive them, they thrust their fingers into their ears and cover their faces with their garments, and persist in obstinacy and grow extremely arrogant. |
| (8) «ከዚያም እኔ በጩኸት ጠራኋቸው፡፡ | (8) Then I called them openly, |
| (9) «ከዚያም እኔ ለእነርሱ ገለጽኩ፡፡ ለእነርሱም መመስጠርን መሰጠርኩ | (9) then I addressed them in public and in private, |
| (10) «አልኳቸውም፡- ጌታችሁን ምሕረትን ለምኑት፡፡ እርሱ በጣም መሐሪ ነውና፡፡ | (10) I said, ‘Seek forgiveness from your Lord. Indeed, He is Most Forgiving. |
| (11) «በእናንተ ላይ ዝናምን ተከታታይ አድርጎ ይልካል፡፡ | (11) He will shower you with abundant rain from the sky, |
| (12) «በገንዘቦችና በልጆችም ይለግሰላችኋል፡፡ ለእናንተም አትክልቶችን ያደርግላችኋል፡፡ ለእናንተም ወንዞችን ያደርግላችኋል፡፡» | (12) and He will give you wealth and children, and bestow upon you gardens and rivers. |
| (13) ለአላህ ልቅናን የማትሹት ለእናንተ ምን አላችሁ? | (13) What is the matter with you that you do not fear the Majesty of Allah, |
| (14) በልዩ ልዩ ኹኔታዎች በእርግጥ የፈጠራችሁ ሲኾን፡፡ | (14) when He has created you in stages? |
| (15) አላህ ሰባትን ሰማያት አንዱ ካንዱ በላይ ሲኾን እንዴት እንደፈጠረ አታዩምን? | (15) Do you not see how Allah has created seven heavens, one above another, |
| (16) በውስጣቸውም ጨረቃን አብሪ አደረገ፡፡ ፀሐይንም ብርሃን አደረገ፡፡ | (16) and has placed the moon therein as a light and the sun as a burning lamp? |
| (17) አላህም ከምድር ማብቀልን አበቀላችሁ፡፡ | (17) Allah has produced you from the earth like a plant, |
| (18) ከዚያም በውስጧ ይመልሳችኋል፡፡ ማውጣትንም ያወጣችኋል፡፡ | (18) then He will return you into it, and then will bring you out again. |
| (19) አላህም ምድርን ለእናንተ ምንጣፍ አደረጋት፡፡ | (19) Allah has made the earth wide spread for you |
| (20) ከእርሷ ሰፋፊዎችን መንገዶች ትገቡ ዘንድ፡፡ | (20) so that you may tread its spacious paths.’” |
| (21) ኑሕ አለ፡- «ጌታዬ ሆይ! እነሱ አምመጹብኝ፡፡ ገንዘቡና ልጁም ከጥፋት በስተቀር ያልጨመረለትን ሰው ተከተሉ፡፡ | (21) Noah said, “My Lord, they have disobeyed me and followed those whose wealth and children did not increase them except in loss. |
| (22) «ታላቅንም ተንኮል የመከሩትን ሰዎች» (ተከተሉ)፡፡ | (22) They have contrived a mighty plot, |
| (23) አሉም «አምላኮቻችሁን አትተዉ፡፡ ወድንም፣ ሱዋዕንም፣ የጉሥንም፣ የዑቅንም ነስርንም አትተው፡፡ | (23) They said, ‘Do not abandon your gods; and do not abandon Wadd, Suwā‘, Yaghūth, Ya‘ūq, and Nasr.’ |
| (24) «በእርግጥም ብዙዎችን አሳሳቱ፡፡ ከሓዲዎችንም ጥመትን እንጅ ሌላን አትጨምርላቸው» (አለ)፡፡ | (24) They have led many astray. So [O Lord], do not increase the wrongdoers except in error.” |
| (25) በኀጢኣቶቻቸው ምክንያት ተሰጠሙ፡፡ እሳትንም እንዲገቡ ተደረጉ፡፡ ለእነርሱም ከአላህ ሌላ የኾኑ ረዳቶችን አላገኙም፡፡ | (25) Because of their sins, they were drowned and then were cast into the Fire, and they did not find any helpers against Allah. |
| (26) ኑሕም አለ «ጌታዬ ሆይ! ከከሓዲዎቹ በምድር ላይ አንድንም አትተው፡፡ | (26) Noah said, “My Lord, do not leave on earth a single disbeliever. |
| (27) «አንተ ብትተዋቸው ባሮችህን ያሳስታሉና፡፡ ኀጢኣተኛ ከሓዲንም እንጅ ሌላን አይወልዱም፡፡ | (27) For if You leave them, they will surely lead Your slaves astray and beget none but wicked disbelievers. |
| (28) «ጌታዬ ሆይ! ለእኔም ለወላጆቼም ምእመን ኾኖ በቤቴ ለገባም ሰው ሁሉ ለምእመናንና ለምእምናትም ምሕረት አድርግ፡፡ ከሓዲዎችንም ከጥፋት በቀር አትጨምርላቸው፤» (አለ)፡፡ | (28) My Lord, forgive me and my parents, and whoever enters my house as a believer, and all the believing men and women, and do not increase the wrongdoers except in ruin.” |
