78 – An-Naba
| (1) ከምን ነገር ይጠያየቃሉ? | (1) About what are they asking one another? |
| (2) ከታላቁ ዜና (ከቁርኣን ይጠያየቃሉ)፡፡ | (2) About the momentous news, |
| (3) ከዚያ እነርሱ በእርሱ የተለያዩበት ከኾነው፡፡ | (3) about which they differ. |
| (4) ይከልከሉ፤ ወደፊት (የሚደርስበቸውን) በእርግጥ ያውቃሉ፡፡ | (4) No indeed; they will come to know. |
| (5) ከዚያም ይከልከሉ፤ ወደፊት ያውቃሉ፡፡ | (5) Again no; they will come to know. |
| (6) ምድርን ምንጣፍ አላደረግንምን? | (6) Have We not made the earth a resting place? |
| (7) ጋራዎችንም ችካሎች አላደረግንምን? | (7) And the mountains as stakes, |
| (8) ብዙ ዓይነቶችም አድርገን ፈጠርናችሁ፡፡ | (8) and created you in pairs, |
| (9) እንቅልፋችሁንም ዕረፍት አደረግን፡፡ | (9) and made your sleep for rest, |
| (10) ሌሊቱንም ልባስ አደረግን፡፡ | (10) and made the night a covering, |
| (11) ቀኑንም (ለኑሮ) መስሪያ አደረግን፡፡ | (11) and made the day for seeking livelihood, |
| (12) ከበላያችሁም ሰባትን ብርቱዎች (ሰማያት) ገነባን፡፡ | (12) and built above you seven mighty heavens, |
| (13) አንጸባራቂ ብርሃንንም አደረግን፡፡ | (13) and made therein a blazing lamp, |
| (14) ከአረገዙት ደመናዎችም ተንቧቢ ውሃን አወረድን፡፡ | (14) and sent down from the rainclouds abundant water, |
| (15) በእርሱ እኽልንና ቅጠላ ቅጠልን እናወጣ ዘንድ (አወረድን)፡፡ | (15) so that We may produce thereby grains and vegetation, |
| (16) የተቆላለፉ አትክልቶችንም፡፡ | (16) and gardens with dense foliage? |
| (17) የመለያው ቀን የተወሰነ ጊዜ ነው፡፡ | (17) Indeed, the Day of Judgment is a time appointed, |
| (18) በቀንዱ በሚነፋና የተለያዩ ጭፍሮች ኾናችሁ በምትመጡ ቀን ነው፡፡ | (18) the Day when the Trumpet will be blown, you will come forth in crowds, |
| (19) ሰማይም በምትከፈትና (ባለ) ደጃፎችም በምትኾንበት፡፡ | (19) and the sky will be opened up and will become gateways, |
| (20) ጋራዎችም በሚነዱበት (እንደ) ሲሪብዱም በሚኾኑበት (ቀን) ነው፡፡ | (20) and the mountains will vanish, becoming like a mirage. |
| (21) ገሀነም መጠባበቂያ (ስፍራ) ናት፡፡ | (21) Indeed, Hell is lying in wait, |
| (22) ለሕግ ተላላፊዎች መመለሻ ስትኾን፡፡ | (22) a resort for the transgressors, |
| (23) በውስጧ ብዙን ዘመናት ነዋሪዎች ሲኾኑ፤ | (23) wherein they will abide for endless ages. |
| (24) በውስጧ ቅዝቃዜንም መጠጥንም አይቀምሱም፡፡ | (24) They will neither taste therein any coolness nor any drink, |
| (25) ግን ሙቅ ውሃንና እዥን (ይቀምሳሉ)፡፡ | (25) except scalding water and discharge of wounds, |
| (26) ተስማሚን ምንዳ ይምመነዳሉ፡፡ | (26) a fitting recompense. |
| (27) እነርሱ ምርመራን የማይፈሩ ነበሩና፡፡ | (27) Indeed, they did not expect a reckoning, |
| (28) በአንቀጾቻችንም ማስተባበልን አስተባበሉና፡፡ | (28) and utterly rejected Our verses. |
| (29) ነገሩንም ሁሉ የተጻፈ ሲኾን አጠቃለልነው፡፡ | (29) But We have enumerated everything in a record. |
| (30) ቅመሱም ቅጣትንም እንጅ (ሌላን) አንጨምራችሁም (ይባላሉ)፡፡ | (30) So taste [the punishment], for We will not increase you except in torment.” |
| (31) ለጥንቁቆቹ መዳኛ ስፍራ አልላቸው፡፡ | (31) Indeed, the righteous will have salvation, |
| (32) አትክልቶችና ወይኖችም፡፡ | (32) gardens and vineyards, |
| (33) እኩያዎች የኾኑ ጡተ ጉቻማዎችም፡፡ | (33) and full-bosomed maidens of equal age, |
| (34) የተሞሉ ብርጭቆዎችም፡፡ | (34) and a full cup [of wine]. |
| (35) በውስጧ ትርፍ ቃልንም ማስዋሸትንም አይሰሙም፡፡ | (35) They will not hear therein vain talk or lies – |
| (36) ከጌታህ የኾነን ምንዳ በቂ ስጦታን (ተሰጡ)፡፡ | (36) a reward and a generous gift from your Lord, |
| (37) የሰማያትና የምድር በመካከላቸውም ያለው ሁሉ ጌታ በጣም አዛኝ ከኾነው (ተመነዱ)፡፡ ከእርሱ ጋር መነጋገርን አይችሉም፡፡ | (37) [from] the Lord of the heavens and earth and all that is between them, the Most Compassionate; none will dare to speak to Him. |
| (38) መንፈሱ (ጂብሪል) መላእክቶቹም የተሰለፉ ኾነው በሚቆሙ ቀን አል-ረሕማን ለእርሱ የፈቀደለትና ትክክለኛን ቃል ያለ ሰው ቢኾን እንጅ (መነጋገርን አይችሉም)፡፡ | (38) On the Day when the Spirit and the angels will stand in rows; none will dare to speak, except those to whom the Most Compassionate granted permission, and they will only speak the truth. |
| (39) ይህ የተረጋገጠው ቀን ነው፡፡ የሻም ሰው ወደ ጌታው መመለስን ይይዛል፡፡ | (39) That Day is sure to come. So whoever wills may seek a path leading to his Lord. |
| (40) እኛ ሰው ሁሉ እጆቹ ያስቀደሙትን በሚያይበትና ከሓዲውም ዋ ምኞቴ! ምንነው ዐፈር በኾንኩ በሚልበት ቀን ቅርብ የኾነን ቅጣት አስጠነቀቅናችሁ፡፡ | (40) Indeed, We have warned you of an imminent punishment on the Day when everyone will see what his hands have sent forth, and the disbeliever will say, “Oh, I wish that I were dust!” |
