50 – Qaaf
| (1) ቀ (ቃፍ) በተከበረው ቁርኣን እምላለሁ (በሙሐመድ አላመኑም)፡፡ | (1) Qāf. By the Glorious Qur’an! |
| (2) ይልቁንም ከነሱ ጎሳ የኾነ አስፈራሪ ስለ መጣላቸው ተደነቁ፡፡ ከሓዲዎቹም «ይህ አስደናቂ ነገር ነው» አሉ፡፡ | (2) But they wonder that a warner has come to them from among themselves, so the disbelievers say, “This is something strange! |
| (3) «በሞትንና ዐፈር በኾን ጊዜ (እንመለሳለን?) ይህ ሩቅ የኾነ መመለስ ነው፤» (አሉ)፡፡ | (3) What! Is it when we die and become dust [will we return to life]? That is a far-fetched return.” |
| (4) ከእነርሱ (አካል) ምድር የምታጎድለውን በእርግጥ ዐውቀናል፡፡ እኛም ዘንድ ጠባቂ መጽሐፍ አልለ፡፡ | (4) We certainly know what the earth consumes of them [after their death], and with Us is a Preserved Record. |
| (5) (አልተመለከቱም)፡፡ ይልቁንም በቁርኣን በመጣላቸው ጊዜ አስተባበሉ፡፡ እነርሱም በተማታ ነገር ውሰጥ ናቸው፡፡ | (5) Rather they rejected the truth when it came to them, so they are in a state of confusion. |
| (6) ወደ ሰማይም ከበላያቸው ስትኾን ለእርሷ ምንም ቀዳዳዎች የሌሏት ኾና እንዴት እንደ ገነባናትና (በከዋክብት) እንዳጌጥናት አልተመለከቱምን? | (6) Have they not then looked at the sky above them – how We built it and adorned it [with stars], and it has no rifts? |
| (7) ምድርንም ዘረጋናት፡፡ በእርሷም ውስጥ ጋራዎችን ጣልንባት፡፡ በውስጧም ከሚያስደስት ዓይነት ሁሉ አበቀልን፡፡ | (7) And We have spread out the earth and set therein firm mountains, and caused to grow therein plants of every pleasant kind, |
| (8) (ይህንን ያደረግነው) ተመላሽ ለኾነ ባሪያ ሁሉ ለማሳየትና ለማስገንዘብ ነው፡፡ | (8) as a source of insight and a reminder to every slave who turns [to Allah]. |
| (9) ከሰማይም ብሩክን ውሃ አወረድን፡፡ በእርሱም አትክልቶችንና የሚታጨድን (አዝመራ) ፍሬ አበቀልን፡፡ | (9) And We send down from the sky blessed rain, with which We cause to grow gardens and grain for harvest, |
| (10) ዘምባባንም ረዣዢም ለእርሷ የተደራረበ እንቡጥ ያላት ስትኾን (አበቀልን)፡፡ | (10) and towering palm trees having clustered fruit, |
| (11) ለባሮቹ ሲሳይ ትኾን ዘንድ (አዘጋጀናት)፡፡ በእርሱም የሞተችን አገር ሕያው አደረግንበት፡፡ (ከመቃብር) መውጣትም እንደዚሁ ነው፡፡ | (11) as a provision for people, and We revive thereby a dead land; likewise will be the resurrection. |
| (12) ከእነርሱ በፊት የኑሕ ሕዝቦችና የረሰስ ሰዎች፤ ሰሙድም አስተባበሉ፡፡ | (12) The people of Noah rejected [the truth] before them, as well as the people of the Water-pit of Rass and Thamūd, |
| (13) ዓድም ፈርዖንም፤ የሉጥ ወንድሞችም፤ | (13) and so did ‘Ād, Pharaoh, the people of Lot, |
| (14) የአይከት ሰዎችም የቱብበዕ ሕዝቦችም ሁሉም መልከተኞቹን አስተባበሉ፡፡ ዛቻዬም ተረጋገጠባቸው፡፡ | (14) and the dwellers of the Forest, and the people of Tubba‘. All of them rejected the messengers, so My warning was fulfilled. |
| (15) በፊተኛው መፍጠር ደከምን? በእውነቱ እነርሱ ከአዲስ መፍጠር በመጠራጠር ውስጥ ናቸው፡፡ | (15) Were We wearied by their first creation? No indeed, yet they are in doubt about the second creation. |
| (16) ሰውንም ነፍሱ (በሐሳቡ) የምታጫውተውን የምናውቅ ስንኾን በእርግጥ ፈጠርነው፤ እኛም ከደም ጋኑ ጅማት ይበልጥ ወደርሱ ቅርብ ነን፡፡ | (16) We have created man and know what his soul whispers within him, for We are closer to him than his jugular vein. |
| (17) ሁለቱ ቃል ተቀባዮች (መላእክት) ከቀኝና ከግራ ተቀማጮች ኾነው በሚቀበሉ ጊዜ (አስታውስ)፡፡ | (17) When the two angel scribes, constantly accompanying him, one on the right, and the other on the left. |
| (18) ከቃል ምንም አይናገርም በአጠገቡ ተጠባባቂና ዝግጁ የኾኑ (መላእክት) ያሉበት ቢኾን እንጅ፡፡ | (18) Not a single word he utters but there is with him a vigilant watcher, ready [to record it]. |
| (19) የሞትም መከራ እውነቱን ነገር ታመጣለች፡፡ (ሰው ሆይ)፡- «ይህ ያ ከርሱ ትሸሸው የነበርከው ነው» (ይባላል)፡፡ | (19) The throes of death will come with the truth. This is what you were trying to avoid. |
| (20) በቀንዱም ውስጥ ይንነፋል፡፡ ያ (ቀን) የዛቻው (መፈጸሚያ) ቀን ነው፡፡ | (20) And the Trumpet will be blown; that is the Day of [the given] warning. |
| (21) ነፍስም ሁሉ ከእርሷ ጋር ነጂና መስካሪ ያለባት ኾና ትመጣለች፡፡ | (21) Everyone will come, accompanied by an angel to drive him and another to testify. |
| (22) «ከዚህ ነገር በእርግጥ በዝንጋቴ ውስጥ ነበርክ፡፡ ሺፋንህንም ካንተ ላይ ገለጥንልህ፡፡ ስለዚህ ዛሬ ዓይንህ ስለታም ነው» (ይባላል)፡፡ | (22) “You were heedless of this; now We have removed your veil, so your vision is sharp Today.” |
| (23) ቁራኛውም (መልአክ) «ይህ ያ እኔ ዘንድ ያለው ቀራቢ ነው» ይላል፡፡ | (23) His angel-companion will say, “Here is the record ready with me.” |
| (24) «ሞገደኛ ከሓዲን ሁሉ በገሀነም ውስጥ ጣሉ፡፡» | (24) [It will be said to the two angels], “Throw into Hell every obstinate disbeliever, |
| (25) «ለበጎ ሥራ ከልካይ፣ በዳይ፣ ተጠራጣሪ የኾነን ሁሉ፤» (ጣሉ)፡፡ | (25) every withholder of good, transgressor, and doubter, |
| (26) «ያንን ከአላህ ጋር ሌላን አምላክ ያደረገውን በብርቱ ቅጣት ውስጥ ጣሉት፤» (ይባላል)፡፡ | (26) who set up with Allah another god. Throw him into the severe punishment.” |
| (27) ቁራኛው (ሰይጣን) «ጌታችን ሆይ! እኔ አላሳሳትኩትም፡፡ ግን (ራሱ) በሩቅ ስሕተት ውስጥ ነበር» ይላል፡፡ | (27) His [devil] companion will say, “Our Lord, I did not mislead him, but he himself was far astray.” |
| (28) (አላህ) «ወደእናንተ ዛቻን በእርግጥ ያስቀደምኩ ስኾን እኔ ዘንድ አትጨቃጨቁ» ይላቸዋል፡፡ | (28) Allah will say, “Do not argue in My presence, for I had already given you the warning. |
| (29) «ቃሉ እኔ ዘንድ አይለወጥም፡፡ እኔም ለባሮቼ ፈጽሞ በዳይ አይደለሁም» (ይላቸዋል)፡፡ | (29) My Word cannot be changed, nor am I unjust to My slaves.” |
| (30) ለገሀነም «ሞላሽን? የምንልበትንና ጭማሪ አለን? የምትልበትን ቀን» (አስጠንቅቃቸው)፡፡ | (30) [Beware of] the Day when We will say to Hell, “Have you reached your fill?” It will say, “Are there any more?” |
| (31) ገነትም አላህን ለፈሩት እሩቅ ባልኾነ ስፍራ ትቅቀረባለች፡፡ | (31) Paradise will be brought near to the righteous, not far off. |
| (32) «ይህ ወደ አላህ ተመላሽና (ሕግጋቱን) ጠባቂ ለኾነ ሁሉ የተቀጠራችሁት ነው» (ይባላሉ)፡፡ | (32) [It will be said], “This is what you were promised; this is for everyone who constantly turned [to Allah] and was dutiful, |
| (33) «አልረሕማንን በሩቁ ኾኖ ለፈራና በንጹሕ ልብ ለመጣ» (ትቅቀረባለች)፡፡ | (33) who feared the Most Compassionate unseen, and came with a devoted heart. |
| (34) «በሰላም ግቧት ይህ የመዘውተሪያ ቀን ነው» (ይባላሉ)፡፡ | (34) Enter it in peace. This is the Day of eternity.” |
| (35) ለነርሱ በውስጧ ሲኾኑ የሚሹት ሁሉ አልላቸው፡፡ እኛም ዘንድ ጭማሪ አልለ፡፡ | (35) They will have therein all what they wish for, and We have yet more. |
| (36) ከእነርሱም (ከቁረይሾች) በፊት ከክፍለ ዘመናት ሕዝቦች ብዙዎችን እነርሱ በኀያልነት ከእነርሱ ይበልጥ የበረቱ የኾኑትን (ማምለጫ ፍለጋ) በየአገሮቹም የመረመሩትን አጥፍተናል፡፡ ማምለጫ አለን? | (36) How many nations We destroyed before them [Makkans] who were stronger than them in might! They traveled through the land. Did they find any escape? |
| (37) በዚህ ውሰጥ ለእርሱ ልብ ላለው ወይም እርሱ (በልቡ) የተጣደ ኾኖ (ወደሚነበብለት) ጆሮውን ለጣለ ሰው ግሳጼ አለበት፡፡ | (37) Indeed, in that is a reminder for anyone who has a [mindful] heart or lends an attentive ear. |
| (38) ሰማያትንና ምድርን በመካከላቸው ያለውንም ሁሉ በስድስት ቀናት ውስጥ በእርግጥ ፈጠርን፡፡ ድካምም ምንም አልነካንም፡፡ | (38) Indeed, We created the heavens and earth and all that is between them in six days, and no weariness touched Us. |
| (39) በሚሉትም ላይ ታገሥ፤ ጌታህንም ከማመስገን ጋር ፀሐይ ከመውጣቷ በፊት ከመግባቷም በፊት አወድሰው፡፡ | (39) So bear patiently [O Prophet] what they say, and glorify the praise of your Lord before sunrise and before sunset. |
| (40) ከሌሊቱም አወድሰው ከስግደቶችም በኋላዎች (አወድሰው)፡፡ | (40) And glorify Him in the night and after the prayers. |
| (41) (የሚነገርህን) አዳምጥም፡፡ ጠሪው ከቅርብ ስፍራ በሚጠራበት ቀን (ከመቃብራቸው ይወጣሉ)፡፡ | (41) And listen! On the Day when the Caller will call out from a nearby place, |
| (42) ጩኸቲቱን በእውነት የሚሰሙበት ቀን ያ (ከመቃብር) የመውጫው ቀን ነው፡፡ | (42) the Day when they will hear the Blast [of the second Trumpet] in truth. That is the Day of resurrection. |
| (43) እኛ እኛው ሕያው እናደርጋለን፡፡ እንገድላለንም፡፡ መመለሻም ወደእኛ ብቻ ነው፡፡ | (43) Indeed, it is We Who give life and cause death, and to Us is the final return. |
| (44) የሚፈጥኑ ኾነው ምድር ከእነርሱ ላይ የምትሰነጣጠቅበት ቀን (የመውጫው ቀን ነው)፡፡ ይህ በእኛ ላይ ገር የኾነ መሰብሰብ ነው፡፡ | (44) On the Day when the earth will be rent asunder for them as they hasten forth [from their graves]; that is an easy gathering for Us. |
| (45) እኛ የሚሉትን ሁሉ ዐዋቂ ነን፡፡ አንተም በእነርሱ ላይ አስገዳጅ አይደለህም፡፡ ስለዚህ ዛቻየን የሚፈራን ሰው በቁርኣን አስታውስ፡፡ | (45) We know best what they say, and you are not there to compel them to believe. But remind with the Qur’an those who fear My warning. |
